Couldn't recommend Norma, Bri, or Dr. Bandy more. I've been seeing Norma for the last 3 (almost 4) years and she is such a delight. She has changed my life in more ways than one. I always leave her office pain free, lighter, and more confident. I love her daughter Bri as well! She takes her time with you and is always a delight to see. Norma Bandy has been my Rolfer for about a year and John Bandy has been my Chiropractor for about two years. They are talented and gifted therapists who have been instrumental in healing my body after a couple of accidents and a major surgery. I highly recommend them. They have been practicing for years and years in their respective fields and are wise and intuitive. Lovely people. I am annoyed that some other folks gave poor reviews based on some front desk staff members who are long gone. It really does a disservice to anyone looking for quality care. read more

There are multiple eastern medicine based treatments available at AHH. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Dr. Jake Ballard D.C. He performed hero work on my neck and back. I felt immediate pain relief and have already seen an improvement after an initial consultation and adjustment. His treatment plan is reasonable for the working professional, and his prices are incredibly fair. He does NOT bill insurance, so be aware of that. But at 155.00 for the initial and 75$ per additional visit, you can't beat it. His methods are effective, the staff at the facility are discreet and professional. Finally, I believe he represents best in class with his professionalism and bedside manner--10 of 10 services for sure. read more

This place is wonderful! My husband went to see Dr. Bandy for various reasons. Dr. Bandy and his assistant were absolutely amazing. Dr. Bandy was very knowledgeable and really explained the reasons for the pains my husband was experiencing. He takes the time to answer all of your questions and in a detailed manner. He is really helpful and definitely shows care for his patients. My husband also saw Brie Bandy for a Rolfing session after seeing Dr. Bandy. Brie did a fantastic job of getting my husband's body all aligned and helping bring his anxiety down. She explained in detail of what she was doing and why she was doing it. This was a great experience! It was amazing to see the changes in my husband and to learn so much. My husband said he felt so good after both sessions. I was having extreme pain in my T4 area caused by everything being out of sorts. Today I went to see Brandy for my first Rolfing session and she used multiple techniques (Rolfing/acupuncture and some non-invasive Chiropractic moves) to help me stand straight and most importantly breathe without pain. I had the added bonus of Norma also working on me at the same time. Not only are they both in tune to the body but also the emotional state influencing your body. I am ready for my first Sprint Tri "The Rookie" on Sunday now and could not have felt this good without them. PS. Both were training for the same event and know what it takes. The office is a shared space with other practitioners and the administrative staff has to keep up with each of their individual service provider needs. This is harder than just working for one person or group under the same policies. But I do agree - they could be a little more positive, approachable and happy to work with. read more

I've been going to Austin Holistic for over 5 years for my chiropractic treatments, acupuncture, rolfing, and massage therapy. The practitioners are gifted and the staff is always professional and helpful. Drs John Bandy and Rachel Bailey have both provided exceptional chiropractic insights on nutrition, exercise, specific health conditions, and more. Rachel is my regular chiropractor and often addresses issues well before any MD even starts to uncover them. This is one of the locations at which Naae Kim, from Austin Family Acupuncture, practices. Naae has been a wealth of knowledge about overall health and my visits always erase the stresses that inevitably build up--She delivers a welcome reset button to counteract worldly wear and tear. I've been to several Ashiatsu massage therapists in Austin and Cassandra is by-far the most effective and experienced. She's helped me recover from 15 mile runs and to deal with health bumps along the way. Lymphatic massage therapy is another great benefit of visiting Austin Holistic Health. Norma Bandy and Bri Bell Bandy provide deep experience in rolfing that keeps me logging many running miles past the half-century mark. I wish I had known the benefits of rolfing many years ago, but we've worked on re-aligning structure and working through the accumulated effects of gravity and other stresses--simply through their expertise and care. Occasionally I've seen other practitioners here when the situation required. The results have always been effective. That's a great benefit from visiting this collaborative team: The entire team really achieves a holistic approach to health care. I've benefited more from my visits to this team than from the assorted and disjointed consultations MDs--at a small fraction of the cost. It has been a profound privilege to be a patient of this amazing TRIFECTA team John Bandy D.C. Norma Bell-Bandy, and Keli Brianna Bandy. They have restored my health. In 1975 I had a PE Gymnastic accident that left me with scarred muscle tissue, frozen shoulder and early onset disk and vertebra deterioration. I pursued my only option, Grostic chiropractic with no results. After becoming insured I continued to find only crappy chiropractic care. In 1988 I started raising my family living in constant pain when in 1999 my disk L4-5 ruptured as I was moving and my 3rd child was a 1 yr old. I waited until life was unbearable and sought out physical therapy. My muscle tissue remained untreated but they worked to save my disks by having me wear a device while I slept and do the cobra stretch exercise. In 2009 I had a discectomy/artificial disc C4-5, steroid epidural injections in my thoracic spine and a discectomy/fusion of L4-5. After surgery my nerve pain worsened running down my arms legs and feet due to released pressure on the nerve from the vertebrae that caused swelling. I began taking prescription medications from this time forward. I pursued physical therapy as a lifestyle working towards less nerve pain, still dealing with the same issues. This continued until 2008 when l my sister told me about the world renowned John Bandy D.C. who had helped her tremendously. Also Norma Bell- Bandy BSRN, Certified Advanced Rolfer, Rolf Movement Teacher, NET along with Keli Brianna Bandy BS, Certified Rolf Practitioner who together worked wonders on my structure. I had neuropathy in my hands, feet and legs, as well as a shot nervous system and adrenals, low nutrient levels when I began care here as a newly widowed in 2018. Health that was broken and passionately pursued is now restored. What an indescribable gift and joy. I had a massage appointment on a Monday, but the day prior I got a bad cold. Called first thing Monday to cancel so I wouldn't spread the cold to them, but I still got charged a $100 cancellation fee. I am on social security and it was a huge financial blow. Have been seeing Dr Bandy and Norma Bell Bandy and a couple of the others in the office for years. When my body is out of balance, this is the place I turn to first. This is the best team of healers and worth waiting for an appointment as you will be glad you came to see them. They are kind and interested in your well being and take great care to make sure you get what your body needs. They are kind of far away from me and it's a real trek to get there for me since I'm in N. Austin, but when I've tried other practitioners nearer to me, I always ended up going back out there to actually solve the problem. I should have just gone there first would have saved both time and money. To address the front desk staff complaints...through the years the front desk staff comes and goes, and I have always had a good response from them. Maybe I missed the rude ones people are talking about or maybe I'm just nice first and got a good reaction. I find that usually works in my favor. read more

She has the ability to make it seem as though you've known each other for years and her Rolfing and healing effects that she continues to have on me are indescribable. She truly takes the time to get to know you on a personal level, always makes it a point to address any concerns you are having, and most importantly takes her time every single appointment without rushing. She recommended I see Dr. Bandy as well for head trauma I had. I was getting headaches almost everyday for as long as I can remember and working with Dr. Bandy was unlike any other chiropractor I had seen before. He addresses the root of underlying unresolved issues. His knowledge and hunger to learn is unmatched. Cassandra Bradford was highly recommended to me for the Lymphatic Drainage massage. I was a new patient at my appointment but wasn't shown around the facility as I was told I should have been and I wasn't given new patient paperwork, which I should have also received. I waited for about 20 minutes before I was seen; I wasn't in a hurry but had I been then that might have been a problem. Cassandra was absolutely wonderful, very personable and caring. She takes the time to get to know you and explains in detail the lymphatic drainage benefits and gives tips on remedies designed for your specific needs. She even gave me her personal phone number for any questions/concerns I had. The massage itself was very relaxing and everything she said it would be. Cassandra is wonderful and I would definitely return to her if Austin Holistic Health wasn't so expensive. I found the same massage elsewhere for $55 cheaper and it was just as amazing. If I return, it'll only be because of Cassandra. read more

Be very careful when going to Eleanor here. She gave me at least a dozen different pills to take on two separate occasions and both times it made me sick. Once was a toxic level of iodine in two separate pills that made me vomit and the other was hormone treatment that caused over three weeks of breakthrough bleeding. If I had been warned about possible side effects by Eleanor this wouldn't have happened. They are more interested in selling you supplements you don't need than anything else. Do your homework on everything before you buy any supplements. read more
