I am not alone in my profound admiration for her and her work. I've had acupuncture before with good results for pain, stress, and even quitting smoking, but what I've experienced with Dr. Jasmine goes far beyond anything I expected. She's not just an acupuncturist... she's a functional medicine practitioner who combines conventional/mainstream medical approaches with ancient Eastern healing practices and alternative therapies. In my sessions, she has practiced acupuncture with lymphatic massage, IV therapy, gua sha, and even taught me self-care techniques to use at home. If one method isn't enough, she intuitively shifts to another, with the goal of complete wellness. Dr. Jasmine knows a lot about a lot. What differentiates her from the rest is the double whammy combo of her vast knowledge and her genuine compassion. She treats everything from pain and stress to complex, chronic illnesses. She brings the sharpness of a scientist (she was once a professor of mathematics) together with the heart of a true healer. And she's constantly learning, expanding her toolkit to help her patients. I had to schedule a recent treatment around a multi day seminar she attended to learn a new technique. Every visit with her fills me with positivity and confidence that I can get better. During my last visit, I was exhausted. I hadn't slept well the night before. Dr. Jasmine devoted the last 20 minutes of the session with acupuncture that left me so energized that I have felt like I could run a marathon for the past two days. She also shares practical wisdom for health outside the clinic. She gives thoughtful (and very helpful!) tips that feel like the advice of a wise grandmother. If you are struggling with a difficult health issue or condition, please read her reviews and know that she has helped others through the hardest things. I am living proof.

I heard about Sita through a coworker and I thought I'd give it a try. I knew I had some lower back pain but until she started working on my back I didn't realize how I'd become so used to this chronic back pain slowly over the years. She suggested I try the herb formulas and I was skeptical I'd see a difference. We're 5 weeks out, I can't explain how, but I feel better, have more energy, and can tell that slowly but surely they are working! I've even gotten used to the unique taste! I appreciate that Sita was conscious when I was starting a "wellness path" and explained the goal was to make me better and this wasn't a forever thing of taking herbs. Sita has been amazing at listening to what's been going on with my body and explaining what and why this could be happening and what caused that to happen. Acupuncture is about helping to correct and fix the blood flow in your body back to the way it should. I experienced constant back pain for about 10 years after having my second child. I was so tired of it that I finally had an MRI done last year to see what was wrong. The doctor told me there was nothing there, so his prognosis was that the pain was muscular. Consequently, I decided to go see Jen at Body Evolution Acupuncture and Wellness for some help. After only ONE visit, my back stopped hurting. This was the first time in 10 years I didn't' have back pain and it was a result of Jen's great care. I highly recommend this to anyone suffering from chronic back pain. Like I said, it's life-changing.

I'm a runner, and after doing a half-marathon a few years ago, I developed persistent ankle pain in one side that wouldn't go away. I went to a doctor, had an MRI, did physical therapy for a while, saw a chiropractor for around 6 months, and tried all sorts of insoles, but it just wouldn't go away or even improve. I had pretty much given up when a friend and fellow runner recommended Jen. She'd gone to Jen for plantar fascitis and had gotten immediate relief. I had done traditional acupuncture once before (just to try it; not for any sort of physical issue), and while it was nice, I didn't really experience any noticeable effects. So I couldn't imagine it would help with ankle pain, especially when nothing else had. But I hadn't tried the style of acupuncture Jen did for my friend, so I figured I had nothing to lose here. Jen immediately made me comfortable and listened to my issues, then talked me through what she was going to try. She focused on releasing my tight calf muscles, and the sensation was totally weird but not painful at all (like a brief, fluttery muscle spasm, and after the session my muscles were sore, as if I'd worked them out). After enduring things like deep muscle stripping (which left me bruised for days) to trigger point therapy massage (AKA extended torture), I was really relieved at how easy and even relaxing this was. After two sessions, I went on vacation. One evening, after I'd gone for a morning run and then walked around the city all day in crappy sandals, I realized that my ankle wasn't bothering me. At all. This was the first time since the pain began that I hadn't felt it after a run or after a day on my feet (not to mention BOTH). I couldn't believe it, but this was the first and only thing that worked. Like, at all. I've since kept seeing Jen to maintain my happy ankles (the persistent pain has never come back!) and also to address other issues, from wrist pain to allergies to neck cramps. I always look forward to my appointments, and I leave completely relaxed and feel real improvement in whatever we worked on every time. Not to mention that I always enjoy seeing Jen and chatting with her--she is such a sweet, funny, genuine person. You won't find better! Acupuncture has become something I really rely on to maintain my overall health now, and it's 100% thanks to Jen.
