Jen is amazing at what she does, and she's an awesome person too. I've been seeing her for about a year now (maybe more?), even though the issues I originally came to see her about have been resolved for a long time! I'm a runner, and after doing a half-marathon a few years ago, I developed persistent ankle pain in one side that wouldn't go away. I went to a doctor, had an MRI, did physical therapy for a while, saw a chiropractor for around 6 months, and tried all sorts of insoles, but it just wouldn't go away or even improve. I had pretty much given up when a friend and fellow runner recommended Jen. She'd gone to Jen for plantar fascitis and had gotten immediate relief. I had done traditional acupuncture once before (just to try it; not for any sort of physical issue), and while it was nice, I didn't really experience any noticeable effects. So I couldn't imagine it would help with ankle pain, especially when nothing else had. But I hadn't tried the style of acupuncture Jen did for my friend, so I figured I had nothing to lose here. Jen immediately made me comfortable and listened to my issues, then talked me through what she was going to try. She focused on releasing my tight calf muscles, and the sensation was totally weird but not painful at all (like a brief, fluttery muscle spasm, and after the session my muscles were sore, as if I'd worked them out). After enduring things like deep muscle stripping (which left me bruised for days) to trigger point therapy massage (AKA extended torture), I was really relieved at how easy and even relaxing this was. After two sessions, I went on vacation. One evening, after I'd gone for a morning run and then walked around the city all day in crappy sandals, I realized that my ankle wasn't bothering me. At all. This was the first time since the pain began that I hadn't felt it after a run or after a day on my feet (not to mention BOTH). I couldn't believe it, but this was the first and only thing that worked. Like, at all. I've since kept seeing Jen to maintain my happy ankles (the persistent pain has never come back!) and also to address other issues, from wrist pain to allergies to neck cramps. I always look forward to my appointments, and I leave completely relaxed and feel real improvement in whatever we worked on every time. I started going for acupuncture and cupping about 6 months ago. As I was endurance training for triathlons my body was taking a toll. I tried physical therapy and deep tissue massage to get some relief. It was mostly a bandaid until the next long training. After several people recommended acupuncture I decided to finally give it a shot. It was a few weeks out before an Ironman and I really needed to get myself ready before my biggest race. When I went in, Jennifer recommend a few aggressive treatment, which included dry needling, cupping and traditional acupuncture. The experiences weren't at all what I expected. I was relaxed with very little to no discomfort. After 3 aggressive treatments, I was off to my race. As you can imagine I was a little worried my lower back pain would kick in after my bike to run transition. Well it didn't and I made it through the entire race without the issue flaring up. Prior to this race I had several long trainings and the pain was intense. I had tried several homeopathic methods of treatment, but nothing really worked. The race was incredible and the fact that a few intense treatment knocking it out was unbelievable. Since that race I try to get a mix of all three treatments when possible. I've noticed I get a little sore after the dry needling, but the pain and tightness in the muscle is gone the following day. I have to admit I wasn't to sure if acupuncture, dry needling, or cupping would make a real difference. Well it did and I would recommend giving it a shot. Highly Recommend! Jen has been a miracle worker for me. As someone who works out a ton, I always have knots, aches and pains. She even managed to 90% clear up this huge knot I've had in my rhomboid for 10+ years on our first session. Our follow up sessions are basically me refusing to stop seeing her because I swear she's a miracle worker. But honestly, it's because she's a true expert in acupuncture and has thousands of hours or training (just look at her certifications on the website). The dry needling technique does not hurt- I'm not sure why people say it does. For me the incessant aches and knots are what hurt me- and Jen takes them all away. As a massage therapist I get body work done a lot but it wasn't until I met Jennifer that I had ever had Acupuncture. I have headaches frequently so for the first sessions we focused on that only which helped tremendously with my neck and the numbness in my hands due to my thoracic outlet syndrome. But this most recent session I wanted to see if it could help with my flexibility since I've never been able to just bend and reach my toes due to how tight my legs are but they have always been to painful to massage. As soon as the acupuncture session was over I instantly was able to just bend and reach my toes!! I'm amazed as to how much this has helped with my own pains. Phenomenal! I've been seeing her for a couple months now for maintenance visits. I'm super injury prone, and unfortunately my job(dentist) causes me to hunch over a lot leading to back pain. She has awesome bedside manner and is great at making you feel comfortable. Appointments are really convenient and you can make them online. I started seeing Jen about 7 months ago and she has made a world of difference in my well being and how my body recoups from stress, workouts and any imbalances I have. Jen Stang is AWESOME! If you need trigger point or needling- this is the place to go. She can zero in on what is bothering you before you even realize it and get you on your way to recovery. As an avid runner with tons of foot problems, she helped me get back to running pain free in a very short period of time. She also helped me when I had a rotator cuff problem. Trigger point acupuncture is something you should have on your calendar every month as maintenance for your body! Massage therapy is good but this type of treatment is so much better! read more

It's really hard to describe just how amazing Jen is. I had never had acupuncture, and didn't know a whole lot about it before I went to Jen. I was nervous when I first went in for my sciatica. It worked so well that I was way more comfortable when I went back for an upper back spasm that was so intense I was having chest pain and could barely move my head (side to side, up or down). After two sessions I could finally move and breath. Such a miracle. She guessed it was a rib out of place, sure enough, the Chiropractor said I had more than one! I wouldn't have been able to safely get that adjustment if Jen hadn't gotten all of the muscles in my back to release. I'm completely sold on acupuncture now. It's an incredibly valuable tool for ones health and wellbeing. And Jen is an absolute sweetheart! She genuinely cares about her clients, and is a true healer. read more

Let me just say Jen has some serious skills. The dry needling (it's where she puts a needle into a trigger point or knot and manipulates it to get it to release) is a game changer. I get lots of bodywork done but nothing is as effective for releasing knots. She has helped me tremendously with my plethora of nagging injuries and she has great needling techniques. read more

I happened to walk into the wrong clinic adjacent to Body Evolution and THANKFULLY because the first place wasn't pleasant. After being redirected to Body Evolution I felt at home. I was greeted by their client coordinators and filled out the questionnaires within 5 minutes or so, enjoyed their cucumber water and then was introduced to Jennifer Stang. She was great. Very welcoming, very warm, comforting as I've never done acupuncture before. I had two issues, one from a marathon training injury and then another on my trap that she took care of. I wish that I could say that I went back weekly but my pain subsided enough where I can still run but if I ever have any injury again I would definitely see Jennifer again. I have been in and out of physical therapy for years, but had never tried acupuncture. I have had a few surgeries as well as keeping physically active on a daily basis and I needed something for trigger points that would be simple and easy. Jen Stang helped alleviate the pain with only a few treatments and I love to go back to her for touch ups whenever I'm feeling achy. Jen is very knowledge about all different methods and used mostly needling / trigger point acupuncture during our sessions. I was experiencing a bad physical and mental reaction to coming off birth control after 18 years and I was looking for an alternative solution to my hormone issues, I also have issues with the tendons and facia though my entire body. I was working with the ART specialist at the facility and he recommended I pop next door and speak to Jen to see what she could do for me.... I was skeptical and nervous as I had had acupuncture years ago while living in LA and it was not a good experience and I vowed never to do it again .... that was 3 years ago and I haven't looked back. Jen is amazing, kind, warm, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and professional. She looked at my physiology in a systemically holistic way and we came up with a plan to ensure my future well being. We started on a course of acupuncture for my hormone issues, and added a Chinese herbal regime, I felt like myself again in no time and love the holistic/homeopathic solution. Added to that she works in trigger point releases on particularly tense, knotted, sore areas of my body, what ever I need at the time to feel better. We've just added cupping to the mix to get into the deeper facia and after just a couple of treatments, to date, I'm feeling less tenderness and tightness in my worst areas. I'm excited to see the results of continued treatments. In the past I've spent hundreds of $$'s in deep tissue massage and chiropractors that only sent my body into further trauma and spasms as they are too aggressive but Jen knew exactly what my body needed.
