This is a community care practice, treatment is offered in an open setting where patients can choose from zero gravity recliners ($48) and treat the extremities and median channels or you can elect for a treatment table ($53)... they do offer private sessions (??)... I like the table, the doc was professional, personable, and smooth! She was able to treat an acute injury and developed a treatment plan over the next 6 weeks... I booked online same day, as a new patient... If every community had something like this available to all the world, people would suffer less and maybe we could realize world peace!!! Completely excellent! I can not express how gentle, kind, compassionate and attentive, starting with Meredith at the front desk. She was so lovely and greeted me with such love! And the entire vibe of the office was set on sublime---calming music, calming colors, comfortable recliners (I fell asleep!). I thought the session would last about 45 minutes, but Dr. Guillaume let me sleep for an hour and a half! I had gone in with a serious trigger thumb and for $38 it helped ease the intense pain I have been experiencing (I still need surgery.) Dr. Guillaume was really gentle---plus we were whispering because it's an open room with other patients (also falling asleep) and I really enjoyed his courtesy not only with me but the other people he was helping. You need to understand clearly that this is a community room, with all patients in one room in a circle of recliners. That is why the cost is low and appts are readily available. However, they go out of their way to keep the room quite and comfortable and provide ear plugs, blankets and eye masks for use. You can check in at the front desk, pay and put your stuff up in a secure locker. Then head on back to the community room, pick your chair and get ready for 45 minutes of relaxation and repair. Ashley is a great listener, patient, calm and meticulous. Located off of burnet, this a good North Austin option for many! read more

Affordable high quality acupuncture done with care and expertise. I came as a newbie, and Ashley calmed my nerves immediately. She listened thoroughly, and recommended a treatment plan, and went to work. I couldn't even feel the needles going in a bit. The initial first visit costs $30, but the follow up visits are $20 for up to an hour visit (you can stay less time if you want). The appointments are extremely easy to reserve online, and I recommend doing so several days in advance. I never have felt uncomfortable in the group setting, and now don't even notice it. You will pay in advance of your treatment, then hang your coat on the hook, and then go back and select a comfy reclining chair. You can select an eye cover, pillow, and or blanket if you want from the shelves to make yourself more comfortable. Once you sit down, Ashley will roll up to your chair with your patient record in hand, and check in to see how you are doing, and then place the needles accordingly. I came initially for back pain management, but walked away with additional benefits I wasn't expecting such as increased energy, calmness, and clarity. I have found over time that acupuncture is not just great for treating numerous physical ailments, but also is a spa treatment for my soul. I have been seeing Ashley 2-3 times a week for just over two months. Like others say, I had previous experience with acupuncture but nothing earth shattering. When multiple friends (including a couple doctors) suggested I try acupuncture for pain relief, I looked into Acupuncture Together--and like others say--I wasn't sure the "group format" was for me. Two months later, wow! Ashley seems to work magic, but she's actually a very skilled and talented Acupuncturist. I settled into my chosen recliner on my first visit (after I paid my fee to the Marvelous Maxine out front), and Ashley looked over my paperwork and got me started. She gently stirred me from a lovely "acu-sleep" about an hour later and I felt so relaxed! And the relief from chronic pain was beginning. Very definitely worth every tiny needle that truly isn't felt. Each time I return I now get my punch card punch by Maxine($20 a return visit, or less with a card), settle into a favorite recliner with pillows and a blanket if needed, and wait for Ashley to come over and see what has changed. I'm "all settled" and ready to "acu-sleep" once again. You do have to get used to being in a room with others, but it is easy, and gets better with time and experience. I keep earplugs and cough drops at the ready and it makes my experience wonderful! The environment created by "Community Acupuncture" is beneficial in many ways-it allows fees to be very reasonable, and each person in the room to possibly get some sort of "group benefit". I'd always been curious about acupuncture but could never afford it. When a friend told me about Acupuncture Together and their community approach to acupuncture at a cost of $25 a visit, how could I refuse? I mean that's the price of a pedicure! After just 4 visits my issue has been resolved and I cannot get over it. I really wanted a drug-free solution to my problem and Ashley and Charlotte are awesome. Before I found Acupuncture Together, I thought acupuncture was an annual, "special occasion" treat. Prices for a singular treatment can be so high... I had no idea that this affordable little gem existed in the city!!! You get in, get healed and get out. So clean, efficient and EFFECTIVE! I simply can't recommend this place enough. I suffer from a rare liver disease, and over the past years, it's become more of an issue as I am now awaiting a transplant. Along with this progression came many negative symptoms. I had always been interested in looking into acupuncture as a treatment method, but I simply thought that I could never afford the treatments. Fortunately, a friend recommended Acupuncture Together to me. Owner Ashley O'Brian, who has quite possibly the most soothing demeanor you'll ever come across, works you into a group setting of about six people in one room at 15 minute intervals. This way, she can administer more treatments at one time and lower the cost for everyone. Ashley remarked to me that she originally worked in a spa setting when she realized that she herself could not afford the treatments she was offering. She realized something had to change and started the business in a small office on Burnet Rd. Immediately after the first visit, I noticed a dramatic change in both my energy level and swelling associated with the disease. I'm now 1 1/2 years into weekly treatments, and I can tell you it has made a huge difference in my quality of life. I wish I could give you all the background, but it would take too long to tell you every reason why finding this place is such a blessing to me! A long time ago one of my clients told me about this place. I wasn't doing acupuncture at the time and it really wasn't priority for me then. Recently, I have had some excellent experiences with acupuncture and have been more than excited from the results. I haven't been able to find a match for me with a good one to one practitioner, so I remembered to ask my client for that referral from so long ago. It turned out that this acupuncture center isn't too far from my business...so the other day I just decided to stop in to find out more about what they have to offer. It turned out that they had room for me to just drop in that day (lucky me). So, I did my paperwork - the wonderful greeter at the front filled me in on how this place runs and I was on my way! I sat in the world's most comfortable recliner - I waited a short time and the acupuncturist came over to greet me and talk to me about what I filled out on my paperwork. She exuded calm and confidence and a friendliness as well. She addressed my 3 main issues of the day - and all 3 issues responded well to the treatment. The price is AMAZING - wonderful to know that I will be able to go for the amount of treatments I need to see more permanent results! What a breath of fresh air. I had been going to another place in Cedar Park who also offers group acupuncture in recliners that was charging $70 per visit (if you didn't sign up for their other monthly plan at $1000's of dollars) -- and I went to a couple, but then they raised it to $90 a session. REALLY?! (that is another review for another day). My first visit was A+ and I am thinking I will continue to be happy here. I could not give this place a higher recommendation! The room was about the size of a large living room and there were a couple more people already receiving treatment. Although I was anxious about the idea of group acupuncture, I didn't even notice when others came in, and the calming music and aromatherapy relaxed me until I fell asleep. Ashley is completely amazing. I was having migraines 2-3 times a week. With her treatments I have had absolutely none since sept 2014. It took a little getting used to the set up because you literally get your treatments together And usually everyone is taking an acu-nap when you walk in. That's just how relaxing it is. Ashley has also helped with my anxiety and allergy issues but the migraines are just gone. This has to be your go to girl! I know she is mine.. Such a great place for healing and rejuvenation. I went to Acupuncture Together for my first ever acupuncture session in April of 2011 for the everpresent tension in my shoulders and a rash I get on my arms & legs occasionally. Ever since I've gone intermittently--sometimes 2x a month, sometimes a bit longer in between. I'm hooked. No matter what is bothering me (skin, digestion, stress, allergies, and more) I feel a lot better afterward and rarely have to go back for the same issue. Ashley also does a great job of giving you other tips outside of acupuncture for your various ails. If you haven't tried acupuncture before, I highly recommend it (obviously). The needles are so tiny, when she put the first few in, if I wasn't watching her I wouldn't have believed she did it. I only felt them in my hands and feet--it was a faint tingling/itching sensation (but nothing I couldn't nap through). Being in one big room with potentially 5 others has only bothered me on two occasions (one when there was a loud snorer and one when a lady had a bad cough). Most of the time, though, everyone is quiet and respectful and it's easy to relax. It's definitely worth risking the few loud times to save money. read more

I love Ashley! I have tried acupuncture in the past, but with the typical high prices that limits my visits and makes me give up even though I feel that it is working. My past acupuncture visits have been solo appointments with my treatment on a hard doctors bed with no comfy recliner, zen music, and blanket which is the the experience you will have with Ashley. I prefer the synergy that I also feel in the calm group setting. It comforts me to see other people covered with needles as well! In the summer heat her office has been a nice, dark, cave like sanctuary; and the in the winter, a nice cozy and warm place to sleep and get treated. My hormones are regulated better when I see her but when I miss a week or so things seem to be back to the way they were before treatment. You can't beat $20 for a more relaxing treatment than the expensive solo treatments. My HSA account covers most of these treatments too. My insurance sucks, so I am using the HSA account and acupuncture as some preventative medicine and a great way to meditate. If she were open at least one night during the week days or closer to my work, I would be going at least twice a week. read more

I went to AT for the first time last week and I can't wait to go back. I felt relieved to find an acupuncture clinic that I can actually afford and will be able to continue on a course of treatment with. The pay structure is great, you pay what you can from $15-$40 ($25-$50 for first time visitors - $10 paperwork fee, I think). There is no pressure to pay more and there is no pressure to buy anything else, she is there to help you heal - that, in it of itself, is relaxing. When you walk in you put your payment in an envelope and then in a locked box in the waiting room. The treatments are done in a community setting with very comfortable chairs, dim lights, soothing music, and cool artwork on the walls. Although I was the only person during my session it is such a comfortable environment that I fell like I would be just as soothed with the room full of people. If was great to be able to rest for as long as I needed, have some time to myself, oh yeah and get medical help at the same time! Highly recommended! read more

I was visiting from out of town and while this was not my first time receiving acupuncture, this was my first time doing it in the community setting. I scheduled my appointment online, which was really simple and quick. I got to the location a little early and was greeted by Maxine, who was very friendly and was able to get me in earlier than my scheduled appointment. When I went to the backroom, there were about 10 lounging chairs with blankets and eye pillows. You're free to sit anywhere and then Ashley overlooks your paperwork and will come speak to you to get more detailed information about what's ailing you. I moved to Austin about a year ago and pretty quickly developed bad migraines from all the mold and pollen. The only thing that has alleviated my pain has been Acupuncture Together. I go about every two weeks and have never been pressured to come more often, as other clinics have done in the past. I don't have chronic pain, I simply enjoy the meditative state I'm able to achieve during acupuncture and the relief it gives my migraines/minor pains. Once you chose your recliner there are pillows, soft blankets, ear plugs and even eye masks in the back corner you may use get even more comfortable. The room has relaxing, dim lighting and calm soft music. It's very easy to forget all your stress and worries here. Ashley is gentle, calm and has a very peaceful demeanor. She discusses what areas are giving you trouble and then you sit back and relax as she works her magic. Last weekend I also had cupping done and I loved it. So easy, affordable and helpful and such a relaxing experience. I dozed off a few times and really got some benefit for allergies. For allergies, you need to go about three times. My insurance will pay 60 percent out of network so with the already low cost, it ends up being an amazing bargain. I get 12 acupuncture sessions per year with Blue cross blue shield yet I have not tried to submit the paper work for the first one yet. We shall see how that goes. Even so, the $28.00 is less than the co-pay for in-network thus, there is nothing to loose. The community model makes it possible for me to get acupuncture when I need it and thus take better care of myself. I went while recovering from a broken ankle and I am glad I did. It helped with the swelling and pain. It really helps hot flashes and overuse fatigue. read more

I have had great experiences with acupuncture in the past, but it gets really expensive! I wanted to give this place a try so that I could afford to go more often. It is AMAZING! Yes, there are other people in the room, but honestly it doesn't bother me. The lights are dim, everyone is quiet, and I just zone out. Dr. Vincent is wonderful - kind, compassionate, comforting, and most importantly, very skilled. I have a hard time managing the difference I feel in acupuncture with things like sleep, fatigue, appetite suppression, and mood just because there are so many other factors. But I have horrible arthritis in both knees, and after I have been seeing him for several months the pain is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. It's amazing. This place is great for affordable acupuncture treatment. I had never done acupuncture before, but I was desperate for any solution to my woes. When I first started coming here there were two acupuncturists - the guy, Tim, had more availability per my schedule, but his placement of the needles took a little more adjustment on my part and he sometimes had to remove some and reapply. However, when I have appointments with Ashley, her touch is light as a feather. Scheduling is incredibly easy, a few clicks online and you are set. When you arrive, they are always on-time with getting you settled. After you are relaxed in the LaZ Boyz and needles in place, you may tell them how long you like to stay, or if you prefer to just rest and determine your timing on your own. Then you push a little remote and they'll come remove the needles and you are on your way! read more

This is such a fantastic concept. I've had acupuncture in the past with great success, but since it's usually not covered by insurance, I can't afford to go for the recommended number of treatments. I was recently diagnosed with a chronic condition for which Western medicine has no medication or cure, so I decided to give this place a shot. So far I've been impressed, and I know with their affordable rates I'll be able to come on a regular basis. With a chronic, "incurable" condition I'm not sure how many treatments I'll need or how much improvement I'll see, but I'm hopeful for the first time in a long time. The only downside to this form of group treatment is you have to rely on others to follow the rules. There are many many reminders posted about turning your phone OFF, not wearing strong perfume or cologne and to respect others getting treatment, but when you talk about humans in the modern, self-centered world, you're going to have the occasional jackass. This is not the fault of the business, so I didn't detract from my rating, but be aware that you might have to deal with some annoyances. I think the benefits far outweigh them. read more

Bell's palsy happened to me on a Saturday and I started going to acupuncture the very next Wednesday. So thankful that I found Acupuncture Together - I've been able to go every day for the Bell's because of their affordable pricing. I've seen a major improvement within a week and feel assured getting into acupuncture asap is helping for a swift and hopefully full recovery. Both Charlotte and Ashley are very kind and truly care about what you're in there for - they knew about Bell's and exactly what to do. Both make you feel at home and ask the right questions. Reminded me to take a probiotic to help with medication and turmeric for inflammation. I've had a lot of acupuncture before, and I've even gone to group settings like this in the past as well. I've never had to "get over" the group setting atmosphere. Most people are sleeping, coming, or going. Everyone does their best to be quiet. Some people snore - Sorry, I know I do. They have disposable ear plugs or just use your headphones and listen to music. Most the time I forget my headphones and I'm easily relaxed and able to sleep for an hour. zZZzzZZ Acupuncture Together is warm, friendly, clean, and comfortable. Great people.
