The beginning of 2021 hit me with a bunch of health problems one, in particular, being Hashimoto's and PCOS. I get chronic migraines - bad ones that last for days!! Today I was on day 3 of a migraine that I'd rate an 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. I did a google search for "acupuncture migraines Austin" and came across the positive reviews on Yelp for Honeysuckle Acupuncture and knew I had to give them a try immediately. I left a message before they opened and got a call back an hour and a half later and an appointment scheduled for 11:30 that morning. All I can say is THANK GOD for Dr. Liu!!!!! He spent 2 hours with me, and in addition to doing acupuncture he also did massage and acupressure on my scalp, face, neck, and back, as well as cupping on my back and neck and he even pricked one of my fingers to squeeze blood out of it to "release stress" which sounds really crazy but I could actually feel it working!!!!! I feel like a human being again instead of someone who had been asking everyone I came in contact with to please shoot me in the face because I was in so much pain!!! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Zheng Zeng. I started seeing her years ago for issues with vertigo and Meniere's Disease -- she was a great help and provided much needed relief for ongoing problems that I struggled with. Dr. Zeng is amazing. I suffered from irregular periods, back pain, stress and came to see her when I hurt my ankle and had an upcoming trip to Europe. Dr. Zeng took so much time to talk to me and explain things to me. My ankle has improved 100% since seeing her and after my first treatment for my PCOS, my period came the next week after being gone for almost 90 days. Maybe it was coincidence but I doubt it. The only issue I have is that on a Saturday the Party Rental store next door is very busy and their loud speaker in the back of the building can interrupt your "zen" time, but it isn't constant. I too, selfishly, don't want the word to get out about how amazingly skilled they are, but I like them too much to not want the best for them and their business! I've been a patient here for almost 2 years now. I had bad dry cough that would appear in March, May, Sept, December and January. The cough would last for weeks and sometimes months. After the acupuncture treatment and herbal supplements my cough has not returned since last September. There's once when rose branch fell on my toe and the swelling and pain never go away for months. Dr. Zheng put some herbs on the swelling area and burned the herb. She quickly pull the herb off before the heat reached my skin. That treatment is quite strange but it worked. I am blown away by the results I have seen. I have stage 4 endometriosis (on bowel and bladder), which means debilitating pain during my period. I vomit, can't go to work for 3 days (or leave my bed), during bowel movements feels like I am passing a knife through there. I heard about acupuncture helping other endosisters and decided to give Dr Zheng Zeng a try because her specialty is in women's health. I honestly went into the first appointment with no hope at all since nothing I have tried in 16 years (not diet, lifestyle, or western medicine) can seem to prevent that horrific, backbreaking, terrifying pain during my period. But I was impressed right away in the first consult; she took an hour to go over my long medical history and symptoms, wanting to know everything. She knows exactly what endo is, is able to talk at length about treating it, was able to connect the dots with other seemingly "unconnected" symptoms of mine that actually have to do with inflammation from this illness.
