I have been dealing with gut, hormone, anxiety and skin issues for years on and off. My anxiety has increased a ton in the past year and I finally tried acupuncture and can't believe I didn't earlier. Steven and getting acupuncture have changed my life and I now swear by acupuncture and TCM! Not only did I see actual lab results that acupuncture improved my health but I feel SO much better physically and mentally. I also learn so much every session with Steven! He has so much knowledge and truly wants to heal. Can't recommend Austin Quan Yin enough! read more

How have I not reviewed this place and Dianne yet?? I went here when I was having nerve pain post-surgery. No one could make it stop so Dianne came up with a plan and after each visit, the pain was a little less until it was completely gone! Once we solved that we tackled some of my other chronic pain issues. I loved the battlefield acupuncture, the option of adding in supplements, and the general ambiance. I recommend Austin Quan Yin and Dianne to everyone who I think would benefit. read more

The practice space is very calming and cozy. I saw Lindsey and had a really wonderful experience. I've been having a lot of neck and back pain which she not only treated with cupping massage and acupuncture, but she even used my natal chart to identify some tendencies toward neck issues and pelvic stagnation which was super cool!! Upon leaving, I could feel a significant difference in my back. And while I didn't even necessarily go in for relief from my painful periods, when my cycle came a few days later it was PAIN FREE, which literally NEVER happens. I'm usually completely incapacitated by my menstrual cramps. Would highly recommend for Lindsey's intuitive practice style and magic hands!!! She has a firm massage style, which personally I've found difficult to find, and her presence is very calming. She's extremely passionate and knowledgeable about what she does. read more

Bryn, I have been seeing her for over a year. I go on average twice weekly. I feel that on every session that she is completely devoted to taking care of me in the best way possible. In my eyes she is not only my acupuncturist but also gives me all kinds of pointers on how to deal with health issues that come up by suggesting different types of herbs to help for this or that or other types of advice. Over the years I have gone to acupuncturists here in the U.S and in Spain where I lived for many years. Some of them have been very good but Bryn is by far the best I have ever been too. For anyone who is looking for an acupuncturist who puts her and soul into helping you with whatever ails you and actually gets fabulous results - Bryn is the one. read more

Diane from Austin Quan Yin is an absolute gem. She is both highly intelligent and empathetic. She is intuitive, kind, passionate, gentle, and warm. I immediately felt 100% safe and comfortable in her beautiful office. I trusted Diane from the moment we began talking. I have experienced lifelong health problems that range from every aspect of the body, and there are no questions or concerns I've raised that aren't met with confident answers filled with hope and increased awareness of the way my body works. She takes an extremely individualized approach treating each patient like they're the most important patient she has. She really takes the time to listen, hear you, and remember your history and your story. My acupuncture appointments with her have been so much more than just acupuncture, and have left me excited for the future and extremely hopeful that my body can and will heal from its many complex issues. The acupuncture itself has been wonderful. Not even remotely intimidating. I have never felt so relaxed and at peace to actually fall asleep on a bed in a room that isn't my own. She plays beautiful peaceful music during the session, and you will feel completely safe and at peace. THANK YOU DIANE! read more

When I need to get myself sorted out, I head over to Quan Yin for a visit with Dianne. I'm a big believer in a holistic approach although I tend to be skeptical of many alternative healers. Although I'm open to new approaches, I'm pretty cynical when it comes to unsubstantiated claims and ambiguous cure-alls. It was important to me to find someone legitimate, with experience and credentials. Dianne is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, has received her Masters from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, and is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. While the prices are in line with other acupuncturists in Austin, Quan Yin accepts many forms of insurance making it even more affordable if your plan covers it. Does anyone remember that TV show Marcus Welby, MD? With Robert Young and James Brolin? Dr. Welby was a good doctor who always had time to sit down and talk with his patients. That's something that is seriously lacking with most of the doctors I've encountered but is present at Quan Yin. She really takes the time to sit down and talk to you about your health, your concerns, life in general. I mean really, who want to get poked by a stranger? With her array of programs, techniques and extensive apothecary, you are sure to leave feeling better than when you came in. read more

I've been coming to Acupuncture to help with anxiety, back pain, and GI issues I've struggled with for years. I've only had a couple sessions and I can definitely feel the difference. My anxiety has gone down immensely. Bryn also does cupping on my back which has helped a lot. Bryn is awesome! She's friendly and personable. She makes you feel very comfortable and puts your worries at ease (especially if you're new to acupuncture). I look forward to my weekly sessions. I would definitely recommend! read more

I am beyond thrilled to have finally found someone to help me and not just prescribe me medication. Dianne has taken the time to listen to me and actually help my body with functional medication. Her office is nice and cozy, I felt comfortable and at ease when letting her know what was all going on with me. Having someone actually listen to me and not make me feel like I'm crazy from the symptoms I was having, is truly a relief. read more

I've been seeing Dianne for a couple of months now and she's absolutely fantastic! I've gone to a number of doctors for some health problems I've had for years and she's the first person to really sit with me and discuss what's going on. She's unbelievably knowledgable and kind. She always answers all my questions and she really listens to my concerns. She celebrates improvements and commiserates on problems (but then she talks through why I might be having the health problems I'm having). I'd never been to an acupuncturist before, but she put my mind at ease and explained everything thoroughly before she started. I always ask what all the points mean and do when she's inserting the needles and she's patient in answering my questions. She's also helped me figure out the best supplements to improve my health. I had some blood sugar issues and she handed me knowledge on how to level myself out and the right supplements to help me get there. I ask a lot of questions and I almost always have lots of questions after I've left a doctor's office, but it can be a pain to get a response when I'm not sitting face-to-face with most medical practitioners... I know I can just shoot her an email and have a response within a day (usually within the hour!). The only downside (for me personally) is that she has cats in the waiting area of her office. I love cats, but I'm also extremely allergic to them. I was worried about this in the beginning, but she keeps the cats out of her acupuncture room, so I haven't had even the slightest trouble with my allergies. All in all, I always walk out of there feeling AMAZING. read more

I've struggled with anxiety for many years and have tried EVERYTHING to find relief and acupuncture done by Diane is the only thing that works. I'm so thankful I found her! She's very very thorough, reasonably priced, and cares about her patients. I am so grateful I found her and would recommend her to anyone, no matter what your issue is. 10/10 read more

Holy Guacamole am I glad I found these guys. Nicole has been more helpful (both physically and In regards to giving me information) than any PCP, Neuro, or Gyno I've ever seen. I'd never had acupuncture before coming in here, so I was a bit of a skeptic at first... but now I see what all the hype was about! Nicole is very gentle and the acupuncture and cupping has caused such a physical and mental improvement that I'm excited about these appointments for the days leading up to them just because I can't wait to go back. 100000/5 stars. read more

Let me break it down for you. I've spent seven years feeling like I've been ran over by a truck. Spent over $15k spent on doctors, some of whom are considered to be great, who threw many pills and potions my way. I've tried EVERYTHING I could try and still felt like complete crap. I made an appointment with Dianne and thank my lucky stars I did. Within maybe 20 seconds of flipping through the huge form I filled out, she told me I had an auto-immune disease. I got the test and SHE WAS RIGHT. This woman knows her s*#t. Seriously. She may be *just* an acupuncturist but she deeply understands the details of the human body and will help you balance the entire system...and get to the root of it! She is incredibly authentic, kind and a straight shooter. As for the acupuncturist part, I sent my doubting smoker friend to her. After his treatment with her, he smoked two cigs in three days (down from 7 a day). He was amazed, as was I. Trying not to think of what I could've done with the 15k I spent on useless MD's.... read more

I have been suffering with chronic hives(urticaria) for approximately a year. Have been to dermatologists, allergen specialists, rheumatologists and a regular doctor of medicine. What they all wanted to do was prescribe synthetic meds like steroids, antihistamines with no relief. I tried the oatmeal baths, apple cider vinegar, anti itch creams, you name it and these things were just a temporary relief. I was tested for environmental and food allergies and results were negative. The rheumatologist was looking for things such as cancer lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and all were negative. No matter what I tried nothing seemed to work. No one could figure out the actual causes and triggers for the symptoms. Diane came highly recommended by my sister-in-law that resides in the Austin area. Having a couple of blood tests done in the recent past, Diane suggested that I send her the results of those tests a few days before my appoinment which was the end of last month. Diane had my blood test already broken down and mapped out. She discovered that my pH level was off the charts acidic and that I needed to take different natural supplements and also she suggested that I change my diet to be more alkaline friendly. Within 2 days I saw amazing results! No more hives! To this day I am hive free and back to my life with my wonderful husband again! If you are tired of dealing with modern medicine, I highly recommend you pick up the phone, speak with Diane and get on the road to getting your life back! read more

I can't tell you enough how AMAZING Diane Duncan has been for me. Every visit Diane really listens to my needs and what is going on physically, mentally and emotionally for me. She told me things that I didn't even know was wrong with my health and has helped me narrow down what the main problem is with my body. Not only is Diane extremely knowledgeable, but she is kind, genuine and down to earth! She doesn't just get to know your health concerns but she gets to know you personally! She takes her time explaining things clearly and really has gotten to the bottom of what is going on with my physically. Over 10 years ago, I heard about Austin Quan Yin through my mother in law. She was a client for menopause symptoms and hormone imbalances. She told me Dianne Duncan was an Acupuncturist and I should see her about my back pain. I researched acupuncture and decided to try some treatments. During acupuncture treatments, I can feel my body warm and my muscles loosen up. The treatment works on relieving pain as well as a preventative care so i don't experience future discomforts. Also I have been Cupping over the last year and that has been great for my shoulders and back. And after that treatment, my husband rubs lotion on my back when I get home! read more

Dianne Duncan is an incredible individual that I have had the privilege over the years to (really) know. She is the most gifted diagnostician in the realm of natural medicine that I have ever met. Currently, I am seeing Dianne for treatment in health maintenance. More importantly, she loves to heal people and rejoices with you in the results. She especially loves to hear how it has affected/improved your life. I have questioned her diagnoses at times, but blood work results has proven her right. Dang, I hate it when she's always right! Dianne has discovered medical issues that have not been discovered or investigated by my Western physicians. Dianne uses an integrative approach in her practice, but she goes beyond the norm: more specifically: thorough scientific analysis in the biological pathways of our body processes for complete investigation, diagnosis and treatment of your health (emotional, habitual, past and present health history. I am often brought to tears when I describe my experience of healing to others as a result of Dianne's treatment. If you have a genetic disease or disorder, DON'T let that be a stumbling block in making an appointment. There is hope for a greater health even in those health situations. I know that personally. read more
