I had an awful experience with this acupuncturist and I do not recommend them to anyone. First, their customer service is terrible. Kung was was extremely rude, condescending, and dismissive, like they were doing us a favor just by talking to us. Instead of listening or answering questions professionally, they talk down to you and act like you're ignorant for even asking. What really crossed the line is how Kung pressures you into signing up, then once they have your money, they suddenly hide behind "documentation". They basically hustle you into buying services, and only AFTER you pay, they claim there are "no refunds" because it's written somewhere in their paperwork. The problem is: Kung never verbally mention it upfront and they doesn't clearly show it to you before taking your payment. That's not transparency -- that's manipulation. Even worse, they try to convince you that you MUST take their services because "you need it", as if they get to decide what's best for you while disrespecting you at the same time. That's not healthcare -- that's arrogance. Also, any business that offers no refunds on rushed prepaid packages is waving a huge red flag. If you were truly confident in your service and results, you wouldn't need to trap people into paying upfront with a rigid "no refund" policy that you try to bury deep into some kind of initial document you sign and never mention it in any of your subsequent patient visits. Overall: unprofessional, pushy, and unethical behavior. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere that actually treats patients with respect and will probably provide better and more effective results too. read more

Called in sick for a appointment, started to get worse and worse as you would expect a person who is getting sick. I forgot I had previously scheduled later appointments in the week, I guess she assumed I only get sick for one day? I guess it's my fault. So I have to pay a whole session, and was demanded I have to pay it that day. I feel this wasn't dealt with professionally. I had acupuncture a few years ago for my back and it helped. After doing a lot of research on acupuncturist available here in Austin I decided to give Dr Kung a try. Setting up an appointment was pretty easy and when I arrived things went smoothly. She's very direct, businesslike and to the point and she also takes the time to tell you as much as you want to know about what she's doing and why. She made recommendations for Chinese herbs that can help but she is not pushy about them and doesn't try to upsell you if you don't want to. She does a very thorough medical history review to know what your issues are and takes the time to explain how some things can affect others and why and how they can cause pain that you make be experiencing. The parking is a little difficult if you are a Texan with a big truck like me lol (I've never seen a building with such a low clearance ) but that's not her fault -just be advised. I mentioned it to her and she did say that there is street parking and thinking back on to I don't think the streets around her were very full so you probably can find some pretty easily. Her sessions build on each other and so far I've gotten some significant relief from the back pain I went to see her for so all in all I'd recommend her as an alternative to medicines or other pain relievers. I've been meaning to write this review for awhile. I was referred to Debbie from my friend JD, whom she treated for neck pain. I was always skeptical about acupuncture and the actual benefits, but it seemed to work for my friend. I've recently developed lower back pain from playing sports and just getting old.... I finally agreed to book an appointment with Debbie, mainly because my friends were tired of hearing me complain about my back. I wasn't sure what to expect so I was pretty surprised at how professional and easy Debbie made the session feel. She asked several questions about my back and then explained how an acupuncture treatment plan would help manage the pain. I was hooked after the first 45-minute session. I couldn't even feel the needles, to the point that I accused her of not using any...she laughed. I could honestly feel tension and pain relief after that first session. I was even able to go running on the trail the next day without my back aching after. I now have weekly sessions with Debbie and the best part is my insurance covers it! Boom!
