After 10 Years of Pain, I Finally Found Hope Over 10 years ago, I had a severe reaction to a vaccine that affected my facial nerve, leaving me with significant nerve and muscle pain and paralysis changes to one side of my face. After seeing more than 15 doctors--from neurologists to pain specialists--I never really found answers or lasting relief. Eventually, I just accepted this was something I would have to live with. Then a friend recommended Dr. Lanh. I had tried acupuncture before for short-term pain relief, but her approach has been completely different. She looks at the whole body through traditional Chinese medicine and has truly treated me from the inside out. I've experienced more relief than I thought possible, but what I appreciate most is that she has given me a protocol and a better understanding of how to manage my body and pain going forward. I am beyond grateful I found Dr. Lanh. After 10 years of feeling like I had tried everything, she has given me something I didn't think I would have again--hope. read more

Meeting Dr Lanh was truly the best health investment I've made in years. A few years ago, I was constantly struggling with severe PMS, persistent breakouts, dizziness, and chronic poor sleep. When I first visited, I just wanted standard TCM treatment, but Lanh Acupuncture Clinic proved to be exceptional. What impressed me most was Dr Lanh's remarkably thorough and localized care: at every single visit, she takes ample time to read my pulse, check my tongue, and ask detailed questions to track my body's changes. She established a very structured, step-by-step treatment plan--starting with twice a week for the first three months, then stepping down to once a week as I improved, and later to twice a month for maintenance. She was also incredibly considerate of my budget, never pushing unnecessary treatments or selling and adjusting the schedule as my health stabilized. Dr Lanh's expertise goes far beyond medicine. She not only cured my symptoms but also guided me like a wise mentor to rebuild healthy sleep and eating habits--emphasizing whole, healthy foods over synthetic supplements. It has now been three years and four months since I first started seeing her, and the results are amazing. Not only has my health drastically improved, but I honestly look so much better than I did three years ago! My skin cleared up, my hair looks healthier, and my overall energy has been revitalized. My stress tolerance has shot up, allowing me to stay fully focused and productive at work. Now, depending on my stress level and budget, I pop in once or twice a month, but under her ongoing guidance, my body remains in top condition. I am deeply grateful for her holistic care for both my physical and mental well-being. If you are looking for a place that treats the root cause of health issues with true wisdom, compassion, and the ability to help you glow from the inside out, I wholeheartedly recommend Lanh Acupuncture Clinic in Austin! read more

Amazing!! Dr. Lahn is so knowledgeable and tells you like it is- you can feel her energy and her acupuncture technique is much different than most western practitioners. She is worth the trip!!!! Will see her again! read more

If you are looking for a skilled practitioner of Chinese Medicine I highly recommend seeing Dr. Lan. She is a very kind person who is truly invested in your physical health. She treats one patient at a time, and in that duration she devotes all of her attention and time into making sure you have the right knowledge in how to best care for yourself. I have been seeing Dr. Lan for a little over a month now. In just 2-3 sessions, I have had a decrease in body aches including joint pain and muscle aches, a major reduction in brain fog, water retention and some weight loss and an increase in energy with acupuncture and mugwort (moxa) therapy alone. Prior to seeing her I had severe body aches and they have improved by about 80% without making any major changes to my lifestyle ( I was already eating very healthy and exercising). Additionally, I used to wake up feeling exhausted but after two sessions with Lan, I started waking up clear headed and ready to start the day. My brain fog has significantly improved as well which has been critical because I am pursuing a Masters Degree. Her treatments have also regulated my cycles to 27 days apart and have improved premenstrual symptoms to the degree that I didn't even realize my next cycle was arriving. Again, this is all with acupuncture and mugwort therapy alone, without consuming any herbal therapies. Her treatments help the body metabolize "turbid fluids" as they say in TCM which helps you to reduce overall inflammation. This has contributed to the improvement in my above symptoms as well as reducing water retention and has also sped up some fat loss. I am still seeing Dr. Lan for the long standing digestive issues that I have due to an ulcer and food poisoning that negatively impacted my digestive health years ago. That will of course take some time. But seeing Dr. Lan in such a short span of time has dramatically improved my quality of life. It is important to understand that you have to still adhere to a healthy lifestyle in order to gain the most improvement and Dr. Lan will skillfully advise you on what lifestyle changes you personally need to make for your constitution. Dr. Lan comes from a lineage of practitioners. What she practices, TCM schools in China and here in the west do not fully teach. She is a practitioner of qigong and uses the life force she has cultivated to treat her patients. There is real intent and mindfulness when she places the needles in your body which is why her treatments are so impactful. She is very unique in what she does. I am really grateful to know her and to have her as a partner in my health. An added benefit is that Dr. Lan has a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. You always leave her office in a good mood! read more

I went to Dr. Lanh first time in August 2023 with many complaints that became a part of my life, and I even forgot that these were not normal and there may be a chance they can be improved. I wouldn't know what any other traditional doctor could do for them, so I just lived like that. A lot of things happened to my physical health since my daughter was born over 4 years ago. My body forgot how to sleep all night after years of sleepless nights. And now, even my child sleeps through the night on most occasions, I still was not. My neck hadn't recovered and had been aching after the breastfeeding. On top of that, I had overall very low energy level. So, even I had time to do things, I just didn't have any motivation/energy to do them. Additionally, pretty much all my life I have been having painful periods. At every visit Dr. Lanh checks on me, on my symptoms, how I feel and look, she checks pulse and tongue, and from there she makes a decision for best treatment for me on that day. After having regular treatments with Dr. Lanh, pretty much all these conditions improved (I sleep better, my neck feels better, I am able to go through my periods without taking any painkillers. I came to the level of tolerable pain now, while normally I would take 3 Advils a day for first two days of my cycle). After each session I have a feeling of lightness in my body and a pleasantly strange sensation in my face as if it was "depuffed". If you have some conditions, that you wouldn't know where to go to with them, this is the place. Update March 2025: I've been going to Lanh Acupuncture for about 1.5 years now. I started at 2-3 times a week, then transitioned to one time a week and recently I've been going every other week. I give biggest credit to my acupuncture sessions for pulling me out from place of no energy after having a baby and caring for her. I have regained my energy and more control over my life. I was able to introduce and maintain more physical activities in my days, which was too hard to even think about 1.5 years ago. I am also trying to follow Dr. Lan's recommendations in regards of eating, drinking and going to bed at earlier time. And it looks like everything together is working well for me. Except general maintenance, during our sessions we address any current problems I may have, like some aches in my body, e.g. stiff neck or jaw, as well as my emotional state. I always feel that every session is customized not only to me, but also to me on the day of the treatment, as Dr. Lan takes time to check all the things that she can, as well as to listen to any concerns I may have. I am not very happy that Dr. Lan moved her office to Bee Cave, as this doubled commute time for me, but I keep going there because it's worth it! Update December 2025: I keep having my bi-weekly sessions and feel that they both help me to maintain my energy levels and stay healthier overall. I can also address any current problems I may be having at the time of session. I always feel lighter and more balanced after every visit. read more

Lanh created such a supportive and thoughtful space from the moment I arrived. She really took the time to understand what I was navigating and my goals for wellness and vitality. Her treatment felt truly personalized and deeply caring. After just one session I was able to stop medications/sleeping supplements and began sleeping deeply again. I am so grateful for her work. This modality is powerful and Lanh is a gifted healer! read more

I recently got out of the Army and have been dealing with several health issues: neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome in my right shoulder from rucking, lower back pain, and sleep problems with anxiety. I live in Wisconsin, so the cold makes my pain significantly worse. After battling chronic pain for a long time with little relief, I decided to follow my mom's recommendation and give Dr.Lanh a try. Dr. Lanh's approach is holistic--addressing the body, mind, and spirit rooted to each other rather than just isolated symptoms. She explained the reasons why the chronic physical pain and the emotional disorder relate to the weather in Wisconsin , and the bad eating and sleeping habits. She also teaches me how to manage stress and anxiety in detailed simple ways. I was nervous during my first session. My body would involuntarily tense up when the painful spots on my legs were stimulated. Throughout the session, Dr Lanh calmly reassured me over and over to make sure I was comfortable. To my surprise, just right after the first session, my low back pain was immediately gone, completely! and my shoulder pain dropped to a 1 out of 10. I felt warmth running through my entire body. I hadn't felt pain-free in a very long time, and combined with the warm, fuzzy sensation, I was brought to tears. I also slept through the night with deep rest! I just finished my second treatment. I feel I eventually have a normal life again without pain. Dr Lanh said I also have hormonal imbalance . It takes time to improve the whole chronic condition. and I recovered from the pain sooner because I am still very young ....This is the most painless and peaceful day in years in my life, without anxiety about my health issues. Dr Lanh truly cares about every single patient. she works hard to serve as a TCM doctor/acupuncturist, a therapist and a life coach in her practice. I am really grateful to meeting her! read more

I recently had a few acupuncture sessions with Dr. Lanh. She is a true healer, and that is very rare. She encloses the entire session with a field of healing energy and protection. She took her time, and was very thorough and thoughtful, and I really felt seen by her. Dr. Lanh not only gives and excellent acupuncture/moxibustion session, but she explained to me the fine points of sleeping, eating, stretching, and moving so that I am able to keep every bit of my energy for healing and rejuvenation. After my sessions I felt my energy moving freely in my body, my body felt lighter, it was as if the atoms and cells in my body were more spacious. My time with her felt like precious gift. I am so appreciative of all the Dr Lanh brings to her work. read more

Lan has quickly become my earth angel. With a spirit that exudes bright joy, deep compassion and divine wisdom, healing is inevitable. In just 3 sessions of working with her, my dizziness spells have dissipated, my persistent eye floaters are gone, my PMS symptom of excruciating breast inflammation and pain have gone from a 10/10 to a 2/10, bloating and digestive discomfort gone and I feel much more grounded, calm and clear. I greatly appreciate her approach to whole body healing with emphasis on nutrition and sleep. Together, I am healing leaps and bounds and am forever grateful for her care. Sincerely, someone who has been working on healing for over a decade using holistic therapies/approaches and has never experienced results this quickly and deeply. read more

I've only been twice so far, but I've really enjoyed my experience. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and takes the time to listen truly, which made me feel very comfortable right away. I'm grateful for her approach and care, and I'm looking forward to continuing my treatments. read more

Found Lanh by chance and so glad that I did! I originally went to her to help with my seasonal allergies only to find out that there were underlying issues to my allergies and other symptoms that I was experiencing. I just finished my initial 8 rounds of acupuncture and can say confidently that Lanh is a miracle worker. I had chronic fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, oily skin, joint pains, sinus pressure--all of which have had a noticeable improvement. I thought all of these singular issues were odd one offs but according to TCM they were all related. From the first session my brain fog was lifted and I felt so much more alert. I'm usually wiped out by the end of the work day and have a hard time keeping my eye open or focused after a long day and that is no longer the case. Lanh also been amazing at advising diet and lifestyle choices while explaining the reasoning behind it all according to TCM. It helps me actually follow the recommendations when I know the reasoning behind it all. Her new office is on Bee Cave Rd and you have to look for the sign that indicates building "J" The suite is shared with a therapist but the treatment rooms are private. When you arrive, you can take a seat in the peaceful waiting area. If she is with another patient, she will usually poke her head out and greet you to let you know she is finishing up and will be right with you. Lanh is a single practitioner and manages her clients with care. She is invested in you and looks at the whole picture--mental state and physical state and how it all ties together. I've always believed that acupuncture can make a difference but I am floored how much it's improved my day to day. read more

Lanh has been helping me with some persistent depression and anxiety issues, and I'm glad I've found her. I'm familiar with western medical approaches and psychotherapy, but Lanh's deep understanding of traditional Chinese medicine has helped me a great deal with my overall health and energy levels. She's a third-generation Chinese acupuncturist (her mother and grandmother were practitioners as well), and her confidence shows. Her bubbly laugh and positive attitude make it easier to look forward to treatments as well. Highly recommend! read more

After a lot of research and phone calls, I first came to meet Dr. Lahn about five years ago when I was looking for answers to my "unexplainable" unstable mental state. In a few visits, and no prescription drugs (something very important to me), she was able to help me get rid of my fears, and negative feelings that up until now have not felt again! Fast forward to about a month ago, I went back to see her due to severe digestive issues, constant body aches, and some other metabolic issues that my "regular" doctor and a long waiting list at the image center were taking too long to fix/diagnose. The prescribed medication was just to ease the pain in the meantime, but with no immediate relief, and crazy side effects! On the very first visit, Dr. Lahn was able to get rid of the pain almost completely. She has now given me a diagnosis, and a specific treatment plan to follow strictly in order to get well soon! After about 8 sessions, she told me that I have made an amazing progress thanks to her sharp skills and my following her advice. I'm feeling alive again, regaining my strength and having the energy to live a normal life again! Dr. Lahn is a profesional doctor with a long training and experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and an amazing sense of humor too that I consider a bonus to the acupuncture therapy! She will take the time to listen to you, review your past history, provide answers to any of your ailments and explain very carefully what to do on your own after treatment. If you listen to her advice and follow it, you will get back to your normal self in no time after, and during the recommended appointments! I wish everyone would go the holistic route to heal naturally, just like I have. It's the best investment I have ever made on myself and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's worth every needle and every penny. I can't thank Dr. Lahn enough for her commitment, her dedication, her warmth, and I hope you give it a try. I promise you won't regret it. We deserve a life free of pain, and suffering. Go the holistic way with no side effects, other than feeling truly alive, happy and healthy again. read more

Can't say enough. Dr. LANH IS AMAZING. Really cares about her patients well being. She is very knowledgable and really consistent. She knows TCM Medicine very well. I learn more each time I go in. She helped me initially with shoulder pain (post MRI my doctor suggested my 2 options , alternative therapy or pain mgmt injections. ) of course I decided to go the non western medicine route and so glad I did. I'm pain free, thankfully. Now we are working on over all health and well being. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. I'm looking some weight (just a by product of feeling better I think) but I'm not complaining. Ps. Don't let the building fool you.. very basic ..no flashy or stuffy office. I found Lanh through a friend while struggling with digestive issues, and after trying a number of other things first, I felt like acupuncture might be the cure I was looking for. It turns out that Lanh can cure several things at once! I also had bad insomnia for months, headaches, and fatigue, and through just a few sessions, I was able to notice results immediately. My digestive issues started to clear up after just the first session, and began to get better with each following one. However, following Lanh's advice appears to be nearly as important as the sessions themselves, which involves creating better habits for the body and mind. For those wishing to be healed completely, it does require effort on your end. The end result of this allows for an overhaul of your health that you can carry with you. The thing about TCM is that it is holistic, and so it is something that will purge not only the physical ailments, but the mental and emotional ones too. If you go in open minded to the healing of your mind, body and spirit, you will understand how beneficial the whole process is on a level that other treatments simply don't entail. Lanh makes you feel comfortable once you step into the office, as her energy is palpably nice and healing. It is well worth finding out how the treatments may work for yourself! read more

My energy has been improved by Lanh and overall has helped me be active again. This is my new therapy and she is the sweetest person that treats you like one of her own, love her! read more

I have been seeing Lanh for 1 month (twice a week) and have already started to see improvements in my chronic health condition! Most notably a reduction in my vertigo. Lanh is very knowledgeable about Traditional Chinese Medicine and has taught me many lifestyle and diet changes that have resulted in me feeling better. She also performs acupuncture with moxibustion (burning of herbs). Moxibustion is an ancient treatment and was recommended to me by two individuals who had it done in Singapore with great success for their back and knee pain. Lanh is kind, has great energy, and truly cares about her patients -- I wholeheartedly recommend her if you're looking to improve your health. read more

Wish I came here first! Lanh has magic in her hands. I have been dealing with insomnia for months. Then got a stomach bug that completely depleted me for several days. I'm a mother of a toddler, desperate for help and needed energy. I always prefer the holistic route as it treats the root cause and not just the symptoms. (Gave up on western medicine years ago after my autoimmune diagnosis- they insisted on unnecessary surgeries, treatments and medication. It broke me and I was left with no money and feeling way worse.) Lesson learned! After 1 treatment with Lahn...I had energy. I came home and was more productive than I had been in weeks! Foggy brain- gone. I almost forgot what it felt like. My mind was sharp and clear and I finally slept. Not only did I finally sleep, but it was restful and restorative! And then the following nights- the same thing. I was shocked at how well her treatments works! I was able to run and chase my little one around without issue. Lanh was delightful, fun and very understanding in my health issues. I feel so lucky that I found her practice. Don't waste your time doing any thing else! Go see her first! read more

Reposting from Google to here I've completed 8 sessions with Lan now and can confidently say I trust in her abilities--not just as an acupuncturist, but as a true healer. I initially came to her feeling both skeptical and hopeful after nearly a decade of dealing with chronic fatigue, emotional swings, digestive issues, insomnia, and migraines. Despite repeated doctor visits and being told my bloodwork and hormones were fine, I knew something still wasn't right. Medications offered short term relief, but nothing felt lasting. Right from the first session, Lan's warmth and attentiveness really stood out. She listened closely to my concerns and reassured me that my body had the ability to heal itself. That same night I had the best sleep I'd had in years and woke up feeling well rested. I was so excited to let Lan know at our next session and knew that I was on a healing journey now. In addition to the acupuncture, Lan emphasizes the importance of holistic care--particularly in my diet and rest habits. Now, 8 sessions in, I'm feeling grateful for my body which I'd spent so long viewing as my enemy. Thanks to Lan, I'm rediscovering how to support my health and live happily pain free. read more

Fixed my back! After about a week with a strained back, I went to see Lanh after my wife insisted that she would fix me. I was hesitant to go because I don't like needles and I didn't believe in the practice. However, seeing the results my wife had throughout the year of her going I was willing to give it a chance. The needles that I thought would be excruciating were actually painless. I started to feel relief immediately after the session. I've had these same back problems for over 10 years on and off, but have never felt such relief as I did after seeing Lanh. Thank you so much Lanh for helping me and wife! read more

Reposting my Google review here because Lahn has moved offices and is now on 5524 Bee Caves Road J6 in West Lake Hills, Tx 78746, and it's taking time for Google to verify her new address. If you are reading this right now, I am guessing you are trying to determine if this is the right acupuncturist for you, and you're exactly where I was at about a month ago. That was me, scouring through reviews, hoping that I could find someone that was experiencing the same issue as me.. In all honestly I didn't end up finding that one review that matched my case exactly, and I can tell you that you won't, either. Because even though it can come off as kind of cliché, every single person is truly different, and as Lanh has taught me, every person has to have a specialized, customized treatment plan for their own personal needs and unique situation. But that is extremely good news for you, because you need someone that will treat you as uniquely as you are, and I can promise you, Lanh is the answer to your issues, even the ones you didn't even know you had. To give some perspective, I am a young female in her late 20s, someone who never thought I would ever be crossing paths with an acupuncturist. I had heard of acupuncture, sure. But I had no idea what it did, how it worked, why it was even needed. That was until I felt like I had already exhausted all other options presented to me via Western medicine, and I was left in a very, very dark place in my life with more questions than answers, and living with immense pain every day. I had been suffering from a severe back injury for months, and had seen countless doctors, specialists, and paid thousands of dollars in tests and imaging, just to be left with little to answers, and having pills pushed on me instead to solve my problems. Not to mention I also suffered from severe depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD and severe hormone imbalances. Luckily, I found Lanh, and she welcomed me with open arms, and changed my life completely. Today, I am 9 treatments in, and am feeling almost pain free and finally hopeful for life again. I could write pages for everything that Lanh has done for me, and why you should make the decision to see her, but truthfully you just need to take the leap of faith yourself, and have confidence based on all these reviews that you really are in the right hands with her. Do not expect it to be a quick fix, because it truly does take both your efforts to succeed. You have to be open to the whole process, which means throw everything that you think you know out the window! Be prepared to change your lifestyle completely because that is the only way you will get the results you are looking for, but just know it truly will be for the better. If I only met her sooner, I would have saved myself thousands of dollars, and I wouldn't have had to suffer as much as I did. Lanh is truly a blessing to the world and her services are life changing, so just go ahead and do yourself a favor and send her a message, and you will be a lifetime patient of hers as well. I love you, Lanh, and thank you from the bottom of my heart! read more

I have now worked with Lan for over one and a half years. Consistent sessions and Lan's recommended lifestyle changes have transformed my body and mind! Lan's treatments healed lingering symptoms of my autoimmune disease in 5 months, and I have been in remission for 10 months. Taking a long-term view of my health, I continue to see Lan weekly for maintenance and to prevent future imbalance and disease. During times of stress or low energy, I try to visit Lan twice weekly. Lan's level of skill, as well as her encouragement and hopeful attitude, healed my health anxiety and empowered me to better understand my physical and mental health. Best results require teamwork. Lan offers diet, exercise, and stress-reduction strategies and often gifts her clients with foraged herbs and fruits for teas! Lan is an authentic TCM practitioner with unique methods to heal her patients in a way that other healthcare providers cannot. Lan is an absolute miracle worker. Her knowledge of TCM is so innate and she cares so deeply about each of her patients. She dedicates all of her time and energy to understanding her clients and giving them a highly personalized treatment plan, monitoring you closely with each and every session. At the time of my first session I was a week late for my period with no sign of it coming and felt terrible. 6 hours after my first session with her, I came on my period. 2 weeks in and my acne has significantly reduced and I feel vibrant and the healthiest I have ever felt. My results have been truly mind blowing, and have happened far quicker than with any other practitioner I have seen. Above all else, Lan's infectiously upbeat and warm nature is the highlight of every visit. She is a true sweetheart, and I look forward to every session with her! I was experiencing an increased heart rate on almost a daily basis before coming to Lan- it was scary and debilitating. In such a short time, I have not had one single heart episode which is huge! I also notice my energy has increased, my digestion has improved, and my sleep is so much better! Lan is enthusiastic and her knowledge and experience are gold. She truly cares about her patients and she spends so much time and energy on your treatment plan. She gets to the root cause of what is causing your ailments and you will see results fast, I promise! She is also so happy and lovely to talk to.
