HISTORY: Struggling with the management of the scheduling…read moreand management of commitment. IF my vehicle is going to be late, I need to make Plan B and C ways to ahead of a "late". Communication is key with managing my vehicle's mechanical issues. When you work 7-5, you have to create options for how to get to/from work/home. My vehicle was to be ready Tuesday by 1700. At 1700 I had to call and ask for a status. Yesterday (Tuesday) said it would be ready around 1000 today (Wednesday). It is 1330 now and no call. I am concerned with how well I can trust this place now. Now I'm worried about how well the work is. CURRENT: Owner and operator personally called and worked out my schedule concerns and literally setup delivery for my vehicle. Explained information that created the problem and shared their plan to avoid recurring schedule concerns. The behavior I experienced from Mr Trevor is more than I expected but appreciated greatly. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but if it saves someone from making the same mistake I did, I…read morefeel obligated to do so. I would STRONGLY recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere. Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you

I took my 20 year old car in for new brakes (upgrade) and it had a coolant leak I asked them to…read morediagnose. Turns out it was the water pump, and it was throwing a code for the fan clutch, so he suggested I replace that as well - since it had to come off to get the new water pump in anyway. The new fan clutch was unbalanced and failed after driving for a day, ripping its own harness off, causing a short that prevented the vehicle from starting once I arrived home. I called and talked to Elite Performance, and they had my vehicle towed back in to repair it. They switched to another brand of fan clutch and replaced it at no charge. Stand-up guys! I will be taking it back to get the engine tuned soon.
