They quote you a price for something and when you go to pick it up it double or triple the price they quoted. No phone call for communication saying it will be more. I moved to the area about 2-3 years ago and have used this shop exclusively for our cars based on a friend's recommendation. I have had nothing but positive experiences and they continued again today. Today I took my car in to have them look at the "tire rod" after getting new tires installed from a tire store. The tire place mentioned it may need to be looked at. They gave it a good look and assured me it was in great shape and no need to replace. I love and value honesty in the auto repair business. They also mentioned there was a small and minor oil leak. We were able to piece together that I had just recently had my oil changed there a few months back. They stood behind their service and excellence replacing the gasket and then changing my oil. I feel they had great communication, honesty and more importantly put themselves in my shoes as a customer. This place is out of my way and may be a little more expensive. I do not recommend this automotive repair place. I brought my BMW in for a diagnosis on a whistling sound I was hearing in my car. The mechanic came out on my pulling up and told me he knew exactly what it was that was causing my issue. I needed to have the PVC valve replaced. But because it was attached to the engine cover I would have to have it replaced. They charged me 1,100.00 for the repair. I paid it and when my car was ready I had developed Covid and couls not come to pick it up. They did deliver it to me. Once I was better I took my car out to drive and the engine was riding really rough and stalling and the check engine light was on. Before I took my car to them none of that was happening.I called and they said they had found several other issues with my car. But no one called me to discuss the issues. I took it back to them for an additional diagnosis and they came back with a list of issues that totalled 5,200 dollars. In that was a charge for my 2 oxygen sensors. I told them no I would not be paying that and I would be there to pick up my car. Once I got it back I took it to Firestone to have them do a check on it. Because my car was not driving in the horrible condition that it was and I didn't have a check engine light before Provision Automotive touched it. Firestone told me that my oxygen sensors were reversed. Provision Automotive had to have done it when they put my new engine cover on. Firestone put the oxygen sensors on the correct way changed my spark plugs and coils for about 600.00. My car is running like it was before Provision Automotive got their hands on it. Please save yourself time trouble and money. Don't use this place to fix anything on your car. They tried to rip me off for almost 5,200 and put my oxygen sensors on backwards and then tried to charge me for replacing them. They are not trustworthy. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I've used Provision for nearly 4 years since I moved back to Texas from Florida. My car is old and very special. She's 2005 BMW Z4 with just over 50,000 actual miles. Gordy, Ronda & Richard love her almost as much as I do. To have a crew who appreciates your car is a GIFT. There are lots of mechanics out there, but few who take a personal interest in a vehicle. They called & kept me updated as if they were docs telling me about my loved one. I trust them. I believe them when they tell me what's wrong BECAUSE they also tell me what's right with her. I wouldn't know a thing from a thang as cars go. They could take me to the cleaners. Yet, they have literally walked me thru the shop to show me exactly what's happening to my car & how they can fix her. I cannot say enough good things about this place!! I have taken my Benz to the Benz dealership in both Plano and Mckinney. Plano I absolutely will never step foot in again because they are so condescending and rude and did absolutely nothing but waste my time. At least the people at McKinney were a little bit nicer but they could not figure out what the issue was with my car. Apparently nowadays everything has to show up on the computer system in order for the technician to know what to do, no one can use their own brains or be creative. I spent so much money and was there multiple times but still had car issues. When my husband decided to take this issue to Provision I didn't have much hope. However they did an AMAZING job, fixed my issues, and my car now drives great. Not only that but they are incredibly nice and HONEST. I will go nowhere else now! My first contact with Gordy at Provision Automotive was about my Range Rover. I have been getting ripped off by Land Rover of Frisco since my warranty ended in 2016. They had just replaced parts of my coolant system for $2500. A week later I was leaking coolant. They looked at it and said it would be at least another $2500. I took it to Gordy. He fixed it for $700. Never going back to Land Rover of Frisco! My second project was my restored 1940 Ford pickup. I bought it in November. It was missing and stalling. I took it to a trusted mechanic my friends used for 20 plus years. He fixed/replaced several things he thought it could be, between Thanksgiving and Memorial Day. He said it was perfect and I picked it up. Within a few hours it was chugging and stalling again. I took it to Gordy who replaced a part and rebuilt the timing. It runs perfect, even at high speeds! I never had confidence in the truck since buying it. I rarely took it out and stayed on backstreets. Now I will take it anywhere and everywhere. When I picked up my 40 Ford, I took in my son's FJ Cruiser who no one has been able to fix. Toyota of Plano charged $168 for an estimate of $8200! The FJ runs great even on highways. It just has an engine light that won't turn off. Another mechanic said it needed none of what Toyota proposed. I fully trust Gordy to figure it out. This has been my go to shop. Brought our S4 Audi b6 2005 for plate number light fix and it was done fast. My car had been on / off repair on this plate number lamp and no one seems to figure out the reason for it. Also my trunk would not open remotely and now it is working., He is the man! I have been using Provision Automotive for years now. I had a 2010 Toyota Corolla and there were times it needed dire repairs. I was told about Gordy's family owned car repair business and the amazing hospitality he provides. Gordy's business is in Anna/Melissa, TX and he came all the way to Dallas himself to see the problems with my vehicle, drove it back, and brought it back to me personally without me ever having to go to his repair shop. Not only did he provide the best customer service, he truly saved me an extra $200-$300 on repairs because he is a straight shooter with good moral character and does not purposely overprice his business work. I have a new vehicle now because someone ran into my old vehicle and totaled it, so I won't be needing repairs for some time. I took my car here 2 days ago, just bought the used car two weeks ago, just wanted them to check my brake pads and transmission fluid. They told me to be there at 8am, stupid me I actually throught I had a appointment. I waited for 2 1/2 hrs, thinking they were going to look at my car any minute..Not until I asked for my keys to leave did they pull my car into a stall. Took them 15 mins. to check the brake pads and the color of transmission fluid. Quote from Gordy $795 for rear brake pads and transmission flush. ???. Glad I didn't ok the work. I took my car to Pepboys today, very honest manager told me the brake pads were fine and didn't need changing. How do these lying men look people in the face and lie to them then write a verse out of Gods holy word on the quote paper.. Don't they realize that they are going to be judged harshly for their sin against people and God. I do not recommend this Auto repair shop if you want honest service.
