I had an amazing experience with Provision Automotive (Melissa) this week. My car had to be towed in on Monday, and they were kind, patient, and helpful every single step of the way. Their customer service is truly top‑tier -- they kept me informed, explained everything clearly, and made a stressful situation feel so much easier. Everyone I interacted with was professional and genuinely caring. You can tell they take pride in their work and in treating people right. I'm so grateful for how they handled my car and how they treated me throughout the process. Highly recommend Provision Auto if you want honest service, great communication, and a team that actually cares about their customers. read more

HISTORY: Struggling with the management of the scheduling and management of commitment. IF my vehicle is going to be late, I need to make Plan B and C ways to ahead of a "late". Communication is key with managing my vehicle's mechanical issues. When you work 7-5, you have to create options for how to get to/from work/home. My vehicle was to be ready Tuesday by 1700. At 1700 I had to call and ask for a status. Yesterday (Tuesday) said it would be ready around 1000 today (Wednesday). It is 1330 now and no call. I am concerned with how well I can trust this place now. Now I'm worried about how well the work is. CURRENT: Owner and operator personally called and worked out my schedule concerns and literally setup delivery for my vehicle. Explained information that created the problem and shared their plan to avoid recurring schedule concerns. The behavior I experienced from Mr Trevor is more than I expected but appreciated greatly. Enough to extend my full trust in their work and future scheduling. The best experience in all my Yelp reviews... Thank you Provision Automotive! read more

You're better off taking your vehicle to the dealership than to Provision in Melissa. That's been my experience every single time I've gone there. I thought by going to a local mechanic shop, I could get my vehicles serviced and out the door for less hassle and less cost than what the dealership would involve. Boy was I wrong. My last two visits are what finally made me decide not to return. First, they charged me over $200 for an oil change on my Audi and then tried to upsell additional services based solely on mileage. After the shock of the oil change price, I declined and called Audi McKinney, who confirmed those extra services weren't even needed at this time and that I overpaid for the oil change from Provision. My most recent visit, was for my F‑250. Provision inspected the truck and told me the cab bushings needed to be replaced due to deterioration, quoting $2,600 for the job about a year ago. I knew I'd have to budget for that, so I called them last week to check whether pricing had changed. They told me the cost had gone up another $1,000, bringing the total to $3,600, and blamed the increase on tariffs. After that conversation, I took my truck to Bob Tomes Ford in Mckinney where I had the work done professionally using OEM parts and save nearly $1,200. Not only that, but the work was performed by a certified Ford mechanic and the work backed by the dealership. That sealed the deal for me. I'll be taking my vehicles elsewhere from now on. read more

Provision Automotive is the only place you need to go for car repair but most importantly for prayer. Gordy & Ronda are the best. They will not only repair your car but they will also pray with you for any prayer needs you have. With having them for prayer partners for the last 22 years I can contest prayer does work. I've always said you need two things in life One a good mechanic and Two a good dentist and praise God I have found both. Trevor blessings to you and to your whole crew, they are the best read more

I have taken both my cars to Provision Automotive in the last year. I honestly felt that they went above and beyond to repair my car. Although I do not live in Melissa I feel it is worth my time to bring my car to them for diagnostics and repairs. I felt they were honest, professional, and the prices were very reasonable. read more

This company is everything you're looking for in an auto shop. They're honest, have fair prices, and work hard to educate you about the work they're performing on your vehicle. Finding a good mechanic is like finding a needle in a haystack. Provision is that needle. read more

I moved to the area about 2-3 years ago and have used this shop exclusively for our cars based on a friend's recommendation. I have had nothing but positive experiences and they continued again today. Today I took my car in to have them look at the "tire rod" after getting new tires installed from a tire store. The tire place mentioned it may need to be looked at. They gave it a good look and assured me it was in great shape and no need to replace. I love and value honesty in the auto repair business. They also mentioned there was a small and minor oil leak. We were able to piece together that I had just recently had my oil changed there a few months back. They stood behind their service and excellence replacing the gasket and then changing my oil. I feel they had great communication, honesty and more importantly put themselves in my shoes as a customer. This place is out of my way and may be a little more expensive. Things like this is what will make me a customer for life. read more

This is not the place to got for your auto repair needs. They lie to you and do no do good quality work. They quote you a price for something and when you go to pick it up it double or triple the price they quoted. No phone call for communication saying it will be more. STAY AWAY FROM PROVISION AUTOMOTIVE! My vehicle was better before I took it to them. Spent a bunch of money with them and now I need to take it somewhere else to fix what they messed up. read more

Wow, thought I needed brake pads and they called me back and said I didn't. That kind of honesty is why I will bring my car here from now on. Lucky to have found this place read more

I've worked in car dealerships and grew up around vehicles, so I'm very familiar with the sales tactics that can sometimes come with visiting a mechanic. Because of that, I was hesitant and a little worried about bringing my VW to this shop, knowing the amount of work it might need. There were a few ups and downs, but thanks to Trevor, this place has earned my business for good!! I've never worked with a shop that truly puts customers first, especially this close to the holidays when every dollar matters. Thank you, Provision Automotive, for your kindness and honesty! read more

Did a great job fixing my Cadillac Escalade ESV which included some warranty repair items which required them to coordinate with the warranty company for approval and payment. Work was done quick and efficiently. Very professional. read more

Alright, so, I had a pretty good experience here. The staff was helpful, not pushy at all which I appreciated. They answered all my questions and seemed pretty knowledgeable. I'd recommend checking them out if you're looking for a new ride! read more

Simply the BEST! The team at Provision is FIRST CLASS! Gordy and Rhonda have Christian values as does their team. They work on my Mercedes, wife's Porsche, and our little toy Fiat 500 Cpop. Great people from front desk to back of house. Beautiful spotless shop. Very skilled and people of integrity! read more

Been driving for 65 years and therefore have been to countless garages, shops, dealerships for repairs. Some good, some horrible - Provision Auto shouldn't even be considered in that category, as they are light years above the rest. Every little thing - professional, even the waiting room. Excellent! read more

Beyond satisfied with my experience here. A problem we went to the dealership twice for and paid hundreds to get fixed and never got fixed we took here and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it at a very cheap price. The overnight drop off due was easy. The service was impeccable. I will 100% be using them for all my future automotive needs. read more

Since moving to Melissa we have used Provision a few times. The staff is so friendly and honest. The prices are fair and they do not overcharge! Richard is our "go to" guy! We have recommeded them to several people. So, if you are seeing this let me recommend them to you. They will not disappoint. read more

I've used Provision for nearly 4 years since I moved back to Texas from Florida. My car is old and very special. She's 2005 BMW Z4 with just over 50,000 actual miles. Gordy, Ronda & Richard love her almost as much as I do. To have a crew who appreciates your car is a GIFT. There are lots of mechanics out there, but few who take a personal interest in a vehicle. They called & kept me updated as if they were docs telling me about my loved one. I trust them. I believe them when they tell me what's wrong BECAUSE they also tell me what's right with her. I wouldn't know a thing from a thang as cars go. They could take me to the cleaners. Yet, they have literally walked me thru the shop to show me exactly what's happening to my car & how they can fix her. And they have ... once again ... fixed my girl; and now my dog & I are back on the road ... top down & enjoying fall ;) Bless 'em at Provision. Truly a gift to know them! read more

I do not recommend this automotive repair place. I brought my BMW in for a diagnosis on a whistling sound I was hearing in my car. The mechanic came out on my pulling up and told me he knew exactly what it was that was causing my issue. I needed to have the PVC valve replaced. But because it was attached to the engine cover I would have to have it replaced. They charged me 1,100.00 for the repair. I paid it and when my car was ready I had developed Covid and couls not come to pick it up. They did deliver it to me. Once I was better I took my car out to drive and the engine was riding really rough and stalling and the check engine light was on. Before I took my car to them none of that was happening.I called and they said they had found several other issues with my car. But no one called me to discuss the issues. I took it back to them for an additional diagnosis and they came back with a list of issues that totalled 5,200 dollars. In that was a charge for my 2 oxygen sensors. I told them no I would not be paying that and I would be there to pick up my car. Once I got it back I took it to Firestone to have them do a check on it. Because my car was not driving in the horrible condition that it was and I didn't have a check engine light before Provision Automotive touched it. Firestone told me that my oxygen sensors were reversed. Provision Automotive had to have done it when they put my new engine cover on. Firestone put the oxygen sensors on the correct way changed my spark plugs and coils for about 600.00. My car is running like it was before Provision Automotive got their hands on it. Please save yourself time trouble and money. Don't use this place to fix anything on your car. They tried to rip me off for almost 5,200 and put my oxygen sensors on backwards and then tried to charge me for replacing them. They are not trustworthy. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

The team at Provision Automotive has fixed my Jeep multiple times and every time I've received great service! I cannot say enough good things about this place!! I have taken my Benz to the Benz dealership in both Plano and Mckinney. Plano I absolutely will never step foot in again because they are so condescending and rude and did absolutely nothing but waste my time. At least the people at McKinney were a little bit nicer but they could not figure out what the issue was with my car. Apparently nowadays everything has to show up on the computer system in order for the technician to know what to do, no one can use their own brains or be creative. I spent so much money and was there multiple times but still had car issues. When my husband decided to take this issue to Provision I didn't have much hope. However they did an AMAZING job, fixed my issues, and my car now drives great. Not only that but they are incredibly nice and HONEST. I will go nowhere else now! I encourage everyone to give them a try. You'll be happy you did. read more

My sister recommended this shop when my Jeep's 4x4 system needed to be serviced. What an amazing experience!! Richard, my mechanic, went above and beyond. Making phone calls to my extended warranty company and keeping me in the loop with the results of every call. When it came down to it, I did not want the dealer touching my vehicle. I put my trust in Provision and they exceeded my expectations. Honest and caring. I drove 65 miles to take my vehicle there and will do it again in a "New York Minute!" Gordy and Rhonda and their team are amazing! Thank you Provision!! From the front office to the back, you all ROCK!!!! ELO read more

My first contact with Gordy at Provision Automotive was about my Range Rover. I have been getting ripped off by Land Rover of Frisco since my warranty ended in 2016. They had just replaced parts of my coolant system for $2500. A week later I was leaking coolant. They looked at it and said it would be at least another $2500. I took it to Gordy. He fixed it for $700. Never going back to Land Rover of Frisco! My second project was my restored 1940 Ford pickup. I bought it in November. It was missing and stalling. I took it to a trusted mechanic my friends used for 20 plus years. He fixed/replaced several things he thought it could be, between Thanksgiving and Memorial Day. He said it was perfect and I picked it up. Within a few hours it was chugging and stalling again. I took it to Gordy who replaced a part and rebuilt the timing. It runs perfect, even at high speeds! I never had confidence in the truck since buying it. I rarely took it out and stayed on backstreets. Now I will take it anywhere and everywhere. When I picked up my 40 Ford, I took in my son's FJ Cruiser who no one has been able to fix. Toyota of Plano charged $168 for an estimate of $8200! The FJ runs great even on highways. It just has an engine light that won't turn off. Another mechanic said it needed none of what Toyota proposed. I fully trust Gordy to figure it out. Trust, trust, trust Gordy and his Provision Automotive!!!!! read more

This has been my go to shop. Brought our S4 Audi b6 2005 for plate number light fix and it was done fast. I have been using Provision Automotive for years now. I had a 2010 Toyota Corolla and there were times it needed dire repairs. I was told about Gordy's family owned car repair business and the amazing hospitality he provides. Gordy's business is in Anna/Melissa, TX and he came all the way to Dallas himself to see the problems with my vehicle, drove it back, and brought it back to me personally without me ever having to go to his repair shop. Not only did he provide the best customer service, he truly saved me an extra $200-$300 on repairs because he is a straight shooter with good moral character and does not purposely overprice his business work. I have a new vehicle now because someone ran into my old vehicle and totaled it, so I won't be needing repairs for some time. But once I will need them, I guarantee I will be using Provision Automotive. read more
