Worst tire shop in Texas. I bought a used tire from them last year, and when I had a flat on a different tire yesterday, I found my little donut spare to have about 6 inches of rubber missing, 6 inches of steel belt exposed, and almost zero air. They had just thrown it back in my trunk and covered it back up. ZERO mention of that to me. When I called to complain yesterday, they basically told me that was not their problem. It was not their responsibility to show or tell me that I now had no spare. Apparently, their only responsibility is to take your money, get you back out of their shop, and wave goodbye. I have always had a good experience here. They have always been honest in their service and never up charged me for things. I never felt like they were trying to take advantage of my situation and have even encouraged me to not add additional services because my car didn't need it. Other locations would upsell anything and everything if they could. I have always felt their prices were fair and felt respected by good, honest service. Avoid this place at all cost.. went in for a simple state inspection. Was told my 3rd brake light was out. He told me $20 for a simple bulb. I said go ahead. The "manager" as I was told, broke my 3rd brake light in the process. Then they tired telling me I needed new windshield wippers. It was clear and obvious I didn't need them. At that point it was clear they were taking advantage of me getting my inspection on the 31st. They thought they could nickel and dime me for anything and everything. Wouldn't pay for the 3rd brake light he broke. He told me "you should have recorded me". I left with a smile on my face. These guys wont be in business much longer with that attitude. PS went to take 5 and my 3 year old truck was passed no problem! Learn the law! Wipers work just fine, and 3rd brake light only lights up when the BRAKE IS PUSHED IN! Scammers! read more

I had an emergency tire repair completed. The workers in the shop were nice, but the people in the office area used a lot of foul language and wouldn't explain anything or why the price was so high. They just said it's because of my tires. I understood it was because I needed tire work, I guess it was because of my tire size or brand or something, they could not explain. I was reassured that "we do not have insurance to cover any damage we do", and was cussed at after paying. I will never return. TERRIBLE PEOPLE! Im going to try and be as thorough and transparent as possible. Got my car towed there for repairs. No issues. Then getting my car back I discovered they had locked my doors (an issue bc my door handle doesn't work if the door is locked) which locked me out of my car. They attempted to rectify this issue bye using the air pump method to pop open my door. This Ididn't work. They then OFFERED AND INSISTED to go through my trunk to try and unlock my door. I told them that they probably wouldn't fit yet still insisted. Their employee Sergio tried to go through my trunk and broke the latch off from my bumper causing it to partially detach. He then apologized and realized ( low and behold) he didn't fit. At this point I go through my trunk and was able to unlock the door. The second employee "Z" then promises he can take care of the damages (They just need a clip) and to bring my car back when I want the other repair done ( I was getting a quote from him on fixing my door handle - about $149 according to him) Some time went by.....Fast forward to today. I called ahead to make sure Z was available to go ahead and fix my bumper I spoke with whom I assumed was the manager who told me Z was at lunch but by the time I got up there he will be back and could go over everything with me. I Get Up there and the owner Gazy comes out and takes a look at my car and starts asking me questions about what happened. I then retell the story about how one of his employees was trying to unlock my door and while climbing through my trunk he dislodged my bumper from the vehicle, but Z had promised to get it taken care of. He then says that they are not a body shop and aren't even capable of fixing this, but says he will bring Z out to see what they can do. Z comes out and all of a sudden has SELECTIVE Amnesia. He remembers where my car was parked, remembered me getting getting my car fixed, he remembers locking me out of my car, but when it comes to crawling through my trunk and causing damage to my bumper, all of a sudden Things become fuzzy. the owner then says for me to come back tomorrow morning so they can talk to the third person Sergio and figure out what happened (although I've stated what happened 3 times already). I Ask him what is the protocol on what's going to happen next as far as repairs in which he States again that they need to figure out what happened.... I left, but the how we left the conversation didn't sit well with me so I called them. This is when I saw the true ugly side of the character and how poorly their own business. The manager States that he refuses to Take liability because he was not there. He then starts accusing me of causing damage to my own vehicle, questions me about why I didn't come in earlier, and argues saying that his employees aren't allowed to climb through the trunk and neither am I so if there are damages done it was my fault. I continue to explain what had happened yet he still refuses to acknowledge the damage his employees did. I asked to speak back with Z in which I questioned him on whether he's trying to recant and claim not to have damaged my car. He claims he remembered Somebody went through the trunk but he doesn't remember who or how my bumper got damaged, even argues with me about the day I came in. We come to an agreement that if I provide proof of the day Services were rendered they match my date with their camera, and if the camera show Sergio going in first, he would pay for damages. He then recant that statement and says well we will only pay for half the damages because both of us broke of my bumper. I explain how that was not acceptable because I did not cause damage to my vehicle and its at this point where the owner becomes belligerent. He refused to give me any of his employers identification when I asked for the first and last name of the employees who serviced my car he repeatedly cut me off during my request and says "If I want any information I can send my lawyer up to him and they can talk like two grown men" (because I guess my gender was not acceptable). He then says he refuses to speak to me, how he gets off at 3 and isnt about to stay on the phone. When I continue to request his employees names He tells me that I can use his employees nicknames which is good enough, or in fact I can call him John Doe on my report and then hangs up in my face. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect. Not only did the employees lie about going into my vehicle and causing damage, they apparently broke company policy by doing so, and then lied again when claiming they could fix my car when they couldn't (because apparently they are a mechanic shop and not auto body shop), refused to take liability for their actions, and completely disrespected their customer. I will never in my life go back to these people and I strongly urge you all to be mindful if you dare to give them your business. read more

Most recently, I had a nail in my tire. I have a service to address this with Discount Tire. They said the tread was too low for them to repair. The tires came from the dealer on a new car so I need to have them replaced on the tread warranty, but need to have the nail removed. I had the nail removed and a patch applied within 10 minutes for $17. I cannot speak about the tires they sale, but for services like a flat, nail, or alignment (quoted $60 for a RAV4) this location is my first choice. read more

Saturday was the last day that this place will be my first choice. I went back after having some work done bc I was told my shocks were bad when I requested a rotation and an alignment. An old guy told me to go inside to tell the attendant and no one was I there. I went outside and asked if I could get help and the guy came in and asked "what." I explained what I needed help w and he was completely focused on what was going on in the service area to HEAR me. He cut me off and said we don't do tire rotations and shocks over here go to the other side. I said the other side is not where I had the work done. He was rude and adamant that I go to the muffler area and talk to the guys over there. Went to the other side, but not before telling him it would be my last time there bc he was extremely rude. On November 4th I went by to get a alignment after I just went to get new set of tires out on my truck at a different shop. The guy that Does the welding he told me "you will have to wait for the alignment" I told him that's fine I can wait. A car was on the lift for the alignment for a good 45 mins to a hour. Nobody touched it, I went to go get another employee and he went to ask the guy nobody doing a alignment? And the welder POPPED OFF! And didn't see me I was listening and he started cussing saying "I told that mother fucker that he can't get a alignment till two hours!!! What a damn shame. My family and I have brought cars here since before I was 15 (I'm 28 now) and used to get excellent service. I showed up at 745 to have someone put new brakes on my truck. The guy I'm assuming is some version of an office manager told me his brake guy gets in at 8, so I said no problem and sat and waited. No one touched the truck until 830, at which point I'm told he was waiting to put my truck in the bay he had just put a different car in. Whatever, I can wait. It gets to be 915 and I'm starting to feel like I'm wasting my time sitting here, so I go try to find someone. They tell me I may need new calipers as well. I still haven't been told a price, been here almost 2 hours, and no one has done anything except lift the truck up. I tell them to forget about it, they're taking too damn long. The manager guy proceeds to come back outside and tells me not to come back, to which I reply why the hell would I come back when they didn't do any work? Awful. It's crazy that I remember taking my first car here and now this is the service experience here. There are PLENTY of other options. read more

I've always found them to be convenient and reliable until my past few visits. They can't seem to do a simple oil change without messing something up. I go in for an inspection to be told paperwork is in the car, and that wasn't true. If they can't do the simplest of things there's no way I can trust them to do a brake job, which I took my car somewhere else for that and everything else in the future for that matter. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Took my car here for a quick break pad replacement or so I thought... worst mistake ever! They called me and said my car was ready, I paid not thinking anything of it and left. On my way home I noticed my car making a humming sound, a sound my car had NEVER made before. I called First Choice Auto and explained what was going on and they said " come right back." So I immediately did to resolve the issue. When I arrive I take a drive with the mechanic and he claims he don't hear anything at all. I tell him "How can you not hear that sound?" He's then says "Can I drive?" So I pull over over and let him drive and still he claims he don't hear it. We go back to the shop and the assistant manager drives my car with the mechanic in the back... first light he comes to he shakes he's head as if he knew already and says "Yeah, you're right I hear it" lol then all of a sudden the mechanic says "it's a humming sound?" ;But yet earlier he claimed he never heard anything lol. Then we return to the shop and they lift my car up pull the tires off and proceed to tell me it's making the sound because it's new break pads and give it time the sound will go away... Umm how about NO lol that's a lie! Then they start to say "oh,ok now you need new wheel bearings on your car.", because apparently my break pads were so worn out my bearings are now bad. By this time I'm so aggravated and livid that they didn't hear the sound it was making at first. Then by then trying to difuse and deflect off of the situation by saying the sound will go away after a while.the sound will go away after a while and how unbeknownst to them I now need new bearings! I tell the assistant manager "How does this happen?I bring my car in for one thing and and it comes out with something completely different that it never did before?"I told the assistant manager "Let me talk to a manger with more hierarchy." He then proceeds to tell me "There's no one there, the store mgr should be there,but he called out."So I say "Just give me a refund and I'll go somewhere else.. put my old breaks back on and void the transaction." He begins to tell me "He doesn't know how to do refunds and he can't help me." So I then replied by saying " Then call your mgr. and ask how." He tells me "He will not call him and there's nothing he can do." What business is ran like this? Where you can't get a refund, you can't get a mgr. and to top it off he gave me a name and number to a person who never picked up or called back. So now I can't get my old breaks put back on, I can't get a refund, never could talk to a store manager and now have to pay another place to have my car checked and fixed... just mind blowing to me! You would think that if these were good, honest mechanics they would've told me "Hey, we're changing your break pads now ,but we noticed your bearings are pretty bad." Or " We fixed you break pads and afterwards we test drove and noticed a sound, would you like us to take a look?" Or something to that nature. To run a business and then say you can NOT do refunds or void a transaction, I feel sorry if they ever over charge someone and then say no refunds and we can't void it... it's really hilarious! To anyone who's not car knowledgeable or savvy I totally recommend that you do NOT bring your car here! Anyone who knows how a normal business is ran and customer satisfaction is top priority along with a normal refund policy I highly recommend you don't do business here! They have proven to not only be incompetent, but dishonest and not organized. Once again , I implore you to stay away from this business. I wouldn't want you to risk coming out with more damage than when you went in or investing more money fixing their mistakes. read more

If you try and get your vehicle inspected they will try and get you to get something else fixed, that doesn't need to be fixed, in order for you to spend more money. If you go try to get your vehicle inspected, and they tell you that you need to fix something like your steering wheel before they can pass you, take your vehicle somewhere else because I guarantee it will get passed. read more

I spent $660 on tires and 2 months later the manager not only didn't honor the warranty- I found out that they didn't tell me about a VISIBLE ISSUE when putting tires on! Now I'm out another $700. Buyer beware they will skirt any responsibilities in regards to their work and warranties. My family and I have spent so much money here over the years because we TRUSTED them. These guys have good prices and are very helpful. I stopped in one day when I hit something on the road that ripped off my plastic air panels under my car. They were dragging the road and I couldn't go anywhere without scrapping the concrete. They had me pull in and in a few minutes had reattached my plastic under panels with bolts! They didn't rig this or use zip ties, or some crap like that. They perma fixed it and only charged me $15. I am sure a dealership would have hit me for like $ 200. You Guys ROCK! Friday 6/22/18 at 11:17am, First Choice Tire and Auto put 4 brand new 315/70/17 tires on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. They were reasonably priced, and they were able to get them on quickly. Super quickly. Almost...TOO quickly. Fast forward to about 24 hours later. I'm traveling down the Dallas North Tollway at about 70 miles per hour when the back end of my Jeep starts to drift back and forth a little. I was immediately angry...I thought the valve stem had worked loose in my brand new tire and that it was going flat. That would have been ideal. What happened next...was not. I changed lanes and noticed something was amiss. The rear end had dropped and it sounded like a car slammed into the back of us. I look to my left in utter confusion as I watch my rear drivers side wheel rolling past me as if we were racing for pinks. As sparks flew and metal tore from underneath the Jeep, I had to navigate this rudderless ship to the shoulder through traffic and the screams of two little girls and a wife. Luckily I'd watched enough Days of Thunder as a child that my inner Cole Trickle was able to take over and not lead us to a fiery death. But it was close. Way too close. Rear end was trashed, fenders were hanging off, wheel was headed towards Legacy, but aside from being scared sh*tless, everyone was ok. So, I call First Choice Auto and Tire the next business day just to clarify that checking the lug nuts is indeed standard operating procedure at a shop that specializes in (based on the signage) putting tires onto automobiles. Gazy, the guy in charge basically tells me that they don't work on things with aftermarket lifts etc on them and that hey, I probably shouldn't have taken it there. Well thanks news, that thought hadn't even crossed my mind while bouncing down the highway in a metal husk being showered with sparks. He then proceeds to tell me he needs to inspect the Jeep to determine whose fault it was. Now, I'm no investigator, but prior to them PUTTING TIRES ON MY CAR, since it rolled off the lot in 2012...no tires had previously fallen off. So yeah, I'm pretty sure we know where to point that finger dude. Anywho... TL;DR. First Choice is no longer my First Choice, they fought tooth and nail, and basically blamed me for taking my Jeep there, even though they were more than happy to take my $1000 and send me on my way with a wink and a smile. read more

Worst tire shop ever. Bait and Switch

This place is great! From the first looks of it, it looks like a hole in the wall, but it's really because it's just a local mom and pop shop-not some overpriced corporate chain. I have taken both cars here to get oil changes at he standard service for $19, plus a tire rotation for another $10, in and out with quick service. They also complete inspections for $25 and it only took about 10 minutes! Granted I did go around 11am during the week so it may be just a tad longer closer to closing time. Overall, great service for a great price! read more

I've been going to this place for years and was always satisfied (I'm changing this from my previous five star review). They recently performed a front end alignment on my car but left the steering wheel cock-eyed. I pointed it out to the mechanic and he said that there was a problem with my rack-and-pinion. I took the car to Discount Auto Care on 380. They checked it out and told me there was nothing wrong with the rack-and-pinion... and straightened the steering wheel. read more

They are so sweet, honest .. Fast... and affordable. I brought my old 98 Expedition in the 1st time for a coil problem in 2014 after being quoted 600.00 by the ripoff Christian Brothers. This shop did my coil change and an oil change for less THAN 200.00!! Since then, I've gone in for used tires, bearings, and more and always great quick inexpensive service.
