Great shop, honest mechanics, they definitely lived up to their amazing reviews. I stopped in for a slow leak right when they opened up, and they were able to patch jt up for only $20, and I was out in ~20 mins. No BS, no upsells like some other big chains. I stopped by Firestone this morning wanting two, new take off tires put on. Firestone didn't ask me anything other than personal information to get me in their systems, name phone number and address. after I provided it, he said he asked for the keys and I reminded him they were new take off tires, he laughed and said "we don't install used tires, they have to have a sticker on them" disappointed, I drove to Thomason Tire. I told the gentleman working the front counter I had two new take off tires, he said "absolutely, have the keys?" - this is a place that sees people over sales. you have a customer for life. read more

Hooray for Thomason Tire! We live in McKinney and needed to get 5 new tires for our motorhome. There was a highly recommended tire store in Plano but we would have had to get the MH there by 8:00 a.m. And it would reportedly take all day. Obviously rush hour traffic both ways. Then we heard about Thomason Tires and it is minutes away. Not only that, we could bring it in at any time. Additionally it was going to save us $$$. The Toyo tires were ordered and at the tire place in a day. Tires were put on today -- in just a 2-3 hours. We could drop off the MH in mid morning and it was ready to pick up shortly after noon. This place is the best! Great service and they always had the car, tractor, wheel barrel & cart tires we have needed. We left for vacation Friday night, got on the highway and at 70 MPH something was wrong with either the car or the trailer we were pulling. We found out it was the trailer tires. Thomason tires was closed already so we tried four other tire places and no one had the tire size we needed. Got to Thomason tires at 7:30am the next day, they had what we needed, got 2 new tires and were out of there in 20 minutes. We we're on the road again. Don't go anywhere else for tires if you're in the McKinney area. read more

I was just there with a screw in my tire. A friend told me about Thomason so I went in, fully expecting to have to buy 2 new tires. I would have been thrilled if they had told me they had to patch the tire but instead they handed me the keys and told me it was fixed, no charge. They could have easily charged me for work that didn't need to be done and I wouldn't have known any different. I so appreciate honest businesses. They earned a new customer today. I have taken my cars to Thomason Tire for years with great results, but last week was a different story. I needed 2 new tires on my Honda Civic. After installing the tires, I was told at checkout out that one of the lug bolts on a rear wheel was stripped and the lug nut could not be put on, so only 3 of 4 lug nuts were put on tire. The employee checking me out said that it "wasn't their fault it was stripped, it must have happened somewhere else." To be clear, I have only had the tires on this car replaced or rotated at Thomason for the last 3-4 years. Nobody else has touched the tires/wheels on this car. When I asked what needed to be done, the employee told me to "go find a mechanic to change the bolt, we can't help you, and its not our fault it is stripped." When I asked if he could recommend a place to do the work, he said no, and quickly walked away saying he had to help someone else. This is not the type of service I had experienced previously at Thomason; sad it happened this time. It was clear he didn't want to discuss responsibility, quickly blame "someone else" and get me out of the shop without offering any help, even suggesting a good repair shop to fix the bolt. I hope this was an isolated incident and not a sign of bad things to come at Thomason Tire. I believe in shopping local, but when a locally owned business isn't willing to admit mistakes and make good on what went wrong, it is very concerning.
