Ruined Father's Day!!! My gosh, this place should have closed down for the day. On Father's Day when you want to have a variety of BBQ, this place completely failed. Here's the list...
1) Air conditioner was broken. If it's broke and not functioning, have the decency to let the patrons know upon entering. That's important enough to know to decide if we even wanted to dine at the establishment. Point to note: we did not stay long enough to allow the the fathers in the group to open their gift bags and cards. Again, the inside temperature was uncomfortable and rising. Who wants to dine in their own sweat? No me!!!!'
2) It was evident our waitress did not want to be at work. Despite it being a hot day (95 degree and rising), your job is to serve the customers with a smile. We were a large party with children, and we ordered at two separate times. To roll your eyes at us because it may have been an inconvenience to you is absolutely unacceptable in the food service industry.
3) When I asked two members of the wait staff that I would like to speak to a manager...it took a long time. I finally waived down a manager myself and he told me he was specifically headed my direction. He was eager to listen and offered "a hundred" apologies for the less than stellar experience and the air conditioning problem. He offered to make it "right" next time, but not today's poor experience. A promise for better service during "at a future date" doesn't amount to much if today's was downright terrible.
4) The drink menu was better if you are a craft beer lover, especially on Sunday Funday. The concern I had is that the menu did not inform the customer as to how the beverage was served. I had to ask my wait staff, and even they were unsure as to how it was poured...in a pint or some other tulip or fancy glass. An image or icon on my beverage menu would be fantastic. Was told that it is in the works, however, just waiting on the need to print mass amounts of menus.
In the end, I was told by the assistant manager to always sends concerns to the HR email address. I was informed that the corporate office is collecting feedback and concerns from the patrons because recurring issues have been brought up during recent dining experiences this year alone. It appears as if there's lots of new members joining the team. They just need time to all start working well together.
I was promised a "better experience" next time. It was only verbal and I was instructed to explain all this to a staff member working the front desk to ensure it doesn't happen again. No promise written down or monetary incentive offered to help promote a follow up visit. The jury is still out if there will even be a next time. Resolution of the problems should have been solved the day of, however, no financial accommodation was made by anyone in management. That is the biggest fail from this establishment...brushing under the rug and hoping for improvements in the future. That's not a good business model for success! read more
