Outstanding as usual. In East Marion, skip the cool places in Greenport and head over to East Marion for this landmark Greek restaurant . Their food is outstanding. The marinated onions & tomatoes atop salads & with the tender, moist Souvlaki ; Cauliflower Croquettes( just get them they're great) outstanding Calamari, split pea salad- a delicious creamy spread or the eggplant ( like hummus but fabulous) and many more appetizers; Soups, you must get the Yigantes Plaki giant Lima beans and the green beans with tomato- onion chutney as a side or served with the lamb, Pastitio, anything with Skordalia sauce and really, everything is so good! Interesting cocktails , we had the Hail Mary , a nice twist on the Bloody Mary and you should try the luscious lemonade. A great value with dinner was the wine flight , your choice of 4 mini carafes , try some of the L.I. Wines! So glad we got another chance to dine there after Thanksgiving before they close for the winter on Nov. 29th. read more

How could anyone not give this place 5 stars?!?!?! This is by far the best Greek food I have had in the USA! Service was awesome!

Absolutely amazing food. The Greek cuisine is authentic and delicious. Sandwiches are packed and full of flavor. The staff is amazing especially Robin who was a thorough pleasure. The overall atmosphere is relaxing and scenic. It is a bit of a drive to East Marion, NY but well worth it!! read more

Ok, this place must put CRACK in their Greek omelets because I don't think I've ever had a tastier one. I give it 4 stars simply because I've only tried one dish. I look forward to going back, although I'll probably be ordering the exact same thing. Mouth watering just thinking about it! read more

first class family orientated Greek restauraunt. Not far from the New London Orient Point Ferry- and Greenport is close too. Food is very good portions and large everything is fresh prices are a good value-you get your money's worth. Be sure and try the black olive paste from Greece they sell in small jars- that is excellent. Only downside is an jhour or more ride east from most of Suffolk County NY. Still, a good way to end a day trip by ferry to CT or Mass or a day on the North Fork read more

I loved the swordfish burger. It was completely amazing--moist, tender, rich, and flavorful. I was expecting a passable burger, but this exceeded my expectations! Their traditional Greek fare is also excellent (I had two meals there). read more

Had lunch here for the first time on a day trip out east. Delicious and refreshing lemonade, I believe it was fresh. Greek salad was awesome and so was the falafel! I think the falafel was probably the best falafel I've ever had. Our server was lovely and prompt. Cozy and quiet atmosphere. Will definitely be back! read more

We had a wonderful experience at Hellenic! Our amazing waitress Robin was fantastic, and we enjoyed everything that we ate! We will be coming back more often! read more

Always a good time here. Lynn the waitress is very entertaining so that was enjoyable. The food was good. The only thing that was a let down was the calamari portion size. We got the entree portion for the table but I would say that 1 person could have eaten that by themselves as an app and then gone on to dinner. Not a big deal at all because the rest of the food was great. Love the outdoor seating. read more

Every time we come here, we are impressed! Service is great, along with the food. We tried the breakfast menu last weekend and all of our breakfasts were fantastic! I'm looking forward to hanging out by the fire pits this summer. read more

I have never had a bad meal here! I visit this place every time I come off the ferry from Connecticut for at least the past 15 years. They have great Greek food, they make fabulous homemade lemonade, the service is good and in the summer weather you can sit outside. Definitely an affordable gem with really good food. read more

Well George, here's our yelp review after having gyros all over Greece...John and I unanimously agree that Hellenic's are still the best! Will see you soon! read more

Went tonight for the first time and was blown away by the freshness of the food and friendliness of the staff. Wine list included picks from various regions but didn't shy away from representing many of the better local vineyards. Ordered the whole roasted fish which was just as good or better than any NYC spot I've ever been. This place is worth a stop whether you're visiting the North Fork, passing through from the ferry or living in the area. read more

Vegetable lovers, surround your broiled octopus with stir-fried asparagus, sauteed spinach, and string bean casserole. It's a wowser.

Stopped by for an early dinner with my husband. Prompt and friendly service. Clean establishment. Great food! The best lemonade ever! read more

My husband and I got something to go from there, my husband got fried eggplant which he loved, I got a Greek salad the lettuce was brown, I went back in to return it and I saw the cook bringing fresh lettuce to the cooking station, they exchanged it no problem but it wasn't that great anyway, the tomatoes were hard, it just wasn't a nice Greek salad and it's expensive. read more

Stopped at this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The food is fresh and the pita bread is on point. There is a large patio dining area and indoor dining. Wait staff was friendly and service was fairly fast. read more

Great food. Nice staff. The restaurant is very clean. The lemonade is the best I have ever had. I have had Greek food allover the world. This might be the best outside of Greece. The dishes are genuine Greek style. It is very expensive but hey your at the end of Long Island what do you expect. Love this place and I'm very picky about Greek food. Great for any meal. Obv the lemonade is a must. Last time we were there we ordered the app platter for 4 and 2 salads. It fed 2 adults, 6 teens and 2 hungry 9yos. The teenagers LOVED it - even the vegan. The service is attentive and the food is always great. Dolmatha omelette is a treat for breakfast. read more

Best Greek salad I have ever had. All of the ingredients are so fresh. My family and I had a wonderful dining experience here last night. The beet appetizer and the grilled octopus appetizer are a must. The $20 wine flight is the best deal in town. They give you 4 very generous tastings of your choice. The owners made us feel so welcome. There aren't many places left that give you that genuine family feel. If you are ever out in East Marion and are craving authentic Greek food go here you will not be disappointed! read more

So far, I have had the spinach omelette, spinach pie, octopus tentacle, and lamb chop with roasted lemon potatoes. They were all quite fantastic, and in the case of the latter two the way that they were prepared really made the deal for me. The octopus, notably, was better than most seafood dishes I experienced in Athens thanks to a tenderness reinforced by the sauce used. The service was also fantastic and waiters were incredibly polite. The best Greek food south of the Hudson River. read more

Thank you for a great meal. The lemonade is an absolute must as well as the traditional Greek Salad. It has been a family and friends meeting place for us for 41 years. read more

We come to North Fork every year and we love Hellenic. We just came from Hellenic to celebrate my husband's birthday. I can't say enough good things. We were a party of 40, half of them were kids, and they were so patient with the kids running around inside and out, they are wonderfully nice, our server was a riot and super attentive and the food is delicious as always. What more could you want! Highly recommend... read more

I absolutely hands down, LOVE this place. No exaggeration. Literally one of my favorite restaurants on the entire east end. 100% genuine Greek cuisine all made from scratch. If you are ever out here it is worth every second to drive to this place. I guarantee you will love their food. The flavors of the food are decadent and always delicious. Great portion sizes and their prices are so fair for the food they make. So, if you are ever strolling through Greenport for a nice day out on the town and you find yourself hungry.... go here! I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

Just moved to Greenport for the summer and was excited to try a Greek restaurant in the area. I liked the open feel of the entire restaurant. The wait staff was friendly but seem a bit unorganized. I ordered the traditional Greek salad with dressing that seemed like it was sitting on the lettuce too long, very soggy. I decided not to finish the salad and just ordered fries that were pretty good. Very average. I don't think I'll be returning. read more
