Delicious food, great sized portions, friendly staff, and a beautiful spot. Perfect for a nice summer night out.

Everything is always great! The ambiance inside is very relaxing and outside it is situated on the river which makes it very calming. The food is always fresh and delicious. My favorites are the falafel platter and the babaganoush appetizer. The service is attentive. Overall no complaints and highly recommend to anyone in the area! Walking distance to the Long Island Aquarium which is a plus. read more

The food was good. No complaints. But they were grabbing at our dishes before we were done. There were 3 or 4 empty tables still , and we were there all of 30 minutes. I found it rude and disrespectful to start rushing us and it wasn't as though there were lines around the block. Then they charged a credit card fee of 4 dollars but we paid cash so check your receipts. We dropped 170 bucks for 4 people . They need better management. read more

This little Turkish restaurant was packed at 5:30 on a Saturday. The staff were pleasant. We shared the cold meze to start. It was excellent. I had a combination platter that was really good. Friends who had been here before said that the food was better than they remembered. Prices were moderate. A better than expected Turkish meal in eastern Long Island. One of the best restaurants in the area. read more

The Turkish food here is fabulous! And perfect outdoor patio ambiance. The restaurant is inside a house. You get a nice relaxing view of the Peconic River. Points of interest: the Long Island Aquarium is within walking distance. Highly recommend coming here when the weather is warmer, so you can sit outside, on the many picnic tables and enjoy the view, atmosphere and of course, the delicious food! Tried different dishes across the menu and everything was delicious. If this place was closer to me, I'd come here often. I was with a large party so we got to try many different dishes on the menu. I must say that everything was delicious! The only con was that there was a bee going after my friend's soda and she freaked out. Such is nature. Eating outdoors. Service was super friendly and efficient. When the weather gets warmer, looking forward to going back. Oh, they do has plenty of indoor seating if you prefer. It's pretty cozy inside. read more

My parents and I have been coming to Turkuaz Grill for several years now. I've had quite a lot of Turkish food, and let me tell you - Turkuaz Grill is the absolute gold standard! The platters are just remarkable. Every item on the plate is just so wonderfully seasoned. Cutting a piece of meat and forking it together with the bulgar, rice, salad, and beet salad makes for a truly heavenly bite. The restaurant itself is small, but so welcoming. The owners are lovely! read more

What a quaint and lovely place...right by the riverwalk. The service was stellar along with recommended beer and wine. We hope to be able to find that Turkish beer somewhere!! We enjoyed the spinach pie as an appetizer. No additional seasoning was needed for anything! I had the chicken kebab which came with the beet salad that I wanted to have earlier but was happy to find out it was part of my dish! It also was served with another side salad, and rice. My partner had the Donner wrap. He said it was exceptional! The meat was so tender and tasty. We really enjoyed our dinner and time there. read more

The gyro was scrumptious. Service was friendly. Ambiance was pleasant. A nice stop for an outside lunch.

Today was our first time at Tukuaz Grill. I was here many years ago but after seeing it on News 12 East End, that sparked my interest. We ordered the humus and the babaganoush appetizers. I have no pictures but I will say we devoured them quickly! They were both tasty and excellent. We just needed to ask for more pita. For lunch we had the lamb kebab, Doner platter and the Falafel. Here's my take on the food. The portions are all very nice and came out hot. My wife enjoyed her Falafel and m my daughter in law enjoyed her Doner platter. My Kebab was 8 pieces of lamb but I thought that the seasoning was kind of bland. I was expecting that string lamb flavor like when you are biting into a nice Lamb Gyro at the diner! Again, it wasn't bad, I just didn't get that "wow" of flavor that I was expecting from the Lamb. I think the meat was missing a little char to it as well. I also tasted the meat from the Doner platter and felt the same about the seasoning. My daughter in law said it was delicious so maybe it's just me..... who knows, Covid again? I hood not LOL! I will go back but then I will go for the Lamb Gyro. read more

perfect food with lovely surroundings and very friendly staff. We go there and it is great every time

The ambiance, right on the river was beautiful. While it is more of a fast food Turkish restaurant, the meat is delicious and seasoned perfectly. I would have loved a pickled veggie for more depth of flavor, instead of everything being raw. Also when I asked for Turkish hot sauce... guess what I got. Seriously guys, check the pic. We tried a delicious bottle of Turkish wine and ended with Turkish coffee and birdnest. I can see why this restaurant has a good following. read more

This is our second time coming here and I already look forward to going back. The amazing waterfront view and beautiful patio decor makes this such a wonderful place to grab lunch or dinner! We've only sat outside so I can't speak for the inside. Would love for a little ambiance music to play but overall the breeze and view takes the show. Fresh quality food and decent size portions that we split the combination and the gyro. There are so many good items it's hard to choose from! Service was good and very friendly. WORST service I have literally EVER experienced from a restaurant staff - coming from someone who lives in New York City. My table and I were literally yelled at... after spending $200+, towards the end of our meal, we noticed that there was a powdery substance in our glass of water that had a peculiar taste to it. We noticed the taste and color of the water almost immediately - I literally spat it out not knowing what I just put into my body. I was so freaked out that we mentioned it to the woman who brought over out check - she literally tried gaslighting me into thinking there was nothing there and that it was "probably backwash." She ended up yelling at our table that she would "never want a customer like us" because of us bringing this to her attention. All I wanted was her to acknowledge that there was in fact something weird in our cup and show any amount of understanding from what seemed to be a manager. The whole vibe of the restaurant even matched hers. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant. read more

Fantastic little restaurant that is tucked away on the waterfront. Our waiter, Nika, was on top of everything. He made suggestions spicy beyti and Turkish Cigars both were fantastic , well prepared came out fast. Not fast paced, but I wasn't left wondering where my food was either. It's a tiny restaurant, very tight they have out door eating, so I imagine it's really popular in the spring and early summer months. The meal came out to $25 per person. So reasonable price, considering they are located on the waterfront. I highly recommend them, and definitely would go again! read more

I live in Florida but make it a point to come here every time I'm in town. I've been a few times and it is always consistently delicious. Our favorite menu items are the calamari and the chicken kebab. The soup was very good too and is served with pita. It's a small place but we're always seated right away and there is outdoor seating as well. The spinach pie was not very good so we did have to send that back, but this is the first time we've ever ordered something that we didn't love. Definitely recommend this place, the portion sizes are a great value for the price. read more

Thoroughly impressed from start to finish. That was one of the best meals I've had in a long time (not just best Mediterranean or Turkish...but best overall). The two gentlemen who assisted me were wonderful and accommodating, the vibe inside was cozy (a solid reprieve from the chilly weather that has extended into April). Music was fantastic! Two of us shared the mixed cold appetizers and a falafel wrap w tahini. Perfect portions. Takeout isnt often known for its visual appeal but the appetizer platter was beautifully arranged and each item was better than the next. I am also very picky about falafel balls...this is how it should be done everywhere. Frickin delicious. Glad to have wandered in here, grateful to the restaurant team for such great food and vibes, and looking forward to coming back again ASAP. read more

Went to the Riverhead Tanger Outlets and stopped in here after for a great meal. The turkish cigars were standard as was the tea. The portions for mains were large. I though the doner platter had a good variety of sides (white rice, bulgar, salad, beets) and generous amounts of doner. I do think the doner was a bit oily and heavy for my liking and could have been seasoned better, but this was definitely a good find in the area, and I would return if I were in Riverhead again! read more

I punched in "ethnic eats" in my trusty Yelp search bar while having a relaxing weekend in the Hamptons and Turkuaz was the first up on the list. Being a lover of Turkish cuisine, we set out for a great meal and we were definitely not disappointed too. Started with their cold appetizer sampler: a medley of all of their dips plus a lentils and a bulgar salad, deliciously prepared and spiced more for the American palette but still delicious. Had a combo platter of lamb kebab and lamb chops: both were simply seasoned and grilled to tender perfection. The spicy beyti kebab had a nice spicy kick to it and was really juicy and flavorful. Of course had to end the night with their insanely delicious house made baklava and Turkish coffee. They've been here since 2010 and doesn't look like they will closing any time soon. We will definitely back again. read more

Chose the worst weather to locate and visit Turkuaz after dropping off friends at a wedding venue. However it was the best decision we made. Greeted warmly when stepping into the restaurant we were promptly seated and given time to review the menu ( unlike some restaurants that tend to rush you for your order. The spicy spinach soup was fantastic. Ordered the doner and vegetable and lamb shush kebab and doner and both servings were plentiful. Meats were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. First time trying Turkish beer and was not disappointed. If you're a beer drinker I'd definitely recommend the Efes pilsener. Although the dining area is small but cozy ( approximately 10-12 tables) there is outside dining available weather permitting. The restaurant did a great take out business while we were there just another testament to the delicious food this establishment has to offer. Although we live in Nassau we will definitely be making t trip back. read more
