This is an excellent Greek spot. We had heard from others that the food here was very good but we don't live in town so have not really had a chance to try it. Well, we will definitely be taking the 20 minute drive here from now on. Ordered two salads, one with chicken, one with gyro and an order of lemon potatoes. Both salads were very generous and the meat portions extremely generous. The dressing had great taste, light and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh. The lemon potatoes were perfectly cooked and the flavor, perfect. So many times have we gotten lemon potatoes that are bitter. Not here. The restaurant is very clean and the person who helped me, who I presume is the owner, was very friendly. I highly recommend Greek Tastes. Definitely try it out if you are in or are passing through Rocky Point. read more

One of our new favorite local spots! This is a great family-owned takeout restaurant with fresh, delicious food and very reasonable prices/portions. The grilled chicken is my go-to order (my son's favorite too!) and my husband loves the beef and lamb gyro pita sandwich. The lemon potatoes are amazing, and my son is officially hooked on their lemonade. The restaurant has such a warm, authentic feel, and I absolutely love the artwork on the walls which I'd love if they'd sell. Great food, great people, and a local business we're always happy to support. Definitely recommend! read more

Disappointed. Repeat customer. Greek chicken dinner and lemon potatoes. Chicken now skewered, smaller sizes, less chicken , overcooked dry as heck and overly salted. Seems like meager portion of tzatziki sauce. Side Greek salad was uninspiring, meager cheese just iceberg a few tomatoes and onion. No love whatsoever. read more

Super delish and fresh Greek food. A step away from the other Americanized repeat. This place is family run and it shows. I love there home made dolmas! read more

Food is excellent! Very authentic Greek food and Very reasonable prices!! Highly recommend!!

Really nice family that owns the place, they remember us and are very friendly and kind. The food itself is excellent! I prefer Greek Tastes over the longstanding Greek place in town, and other places I've been to in Suffolk. The gyros are flavorful and tender, very fresh ingredients and generous portions. Their salads are fresh and delicious as well. We've even used them for catering, and the amount of food they put into the trays was incredible. Enjoy! read more

Food was delicious and fresh. Super flavorful, we loved every bite! The seasoning on the fries and onions was a nice touch. And the Athens sauce was fun to try - it's like a mustard/mayo blend. read more

Best Greek food around. The beef and lamb souvlaki is amazing but so is the chicken. The platter is a generous portion and the dessert is so good. Great deal for the platter or just the gyro. Their Greek fries work the tzatziki is so good, definitely recommend. Have loved everything I tried read more

Monday: I'm a delivery driver, but I sampled the menu for myself. Tuesday: I feel like part of the family; signing up for Greek lessons. HIDDEN GEM!!! This is a beautiful family-run business. I would love to dine in, but Covid precautions are what they are, I guess... Ask Momma. Clean! Extremely accommodating! New family! Ps. Delivery Soup arrived piping hot! Excellent !!!! read more

Love this new Greek place right in the heart of Rocky Point! Owner on site and, along with the rest of the staff, very friendly. The food is spectacular- seriously the best Greek food in this area. The stuffed grape leaves are just the right size-they go perfect with the tzatziki sauce! The warm pitas are perfectly seasoned. The chicken salad bowl is a nice size-I always have enough to share! The chicken sandwich with the Athens sauce was spicy and delicious. And they have amazing Greed delicacies for desert too! Everything is homemade, warm, and delectable. This has become a favorite weekly takeout place for us. Give this tiny place a try- you'll be glad you did! read more

Best gyro around hands down! Their pita bread and gyro meat are well seasoned. They fill their gyros generously. We've enjoyed their apps and salads as well, but their gyros are always repeat orders! read more

I usually get a traditional gyro or a falafel gyro. This place is pretty good, and the people are very friendly. I think the pricing is fair and try to go once a month to get my fix. read more

Food is great. I loved how nothing was greasy. I ate so much, yet don't feel bloated or horribly full. The chicken soup is amazing, and I will be back to grab that for a quick lunch. We had the platters, and too full for dessert now, but it looks great, and comes with the platters. Everything was exactly how I like it. Fresh and perfectly cooked. Excellent!! Welcome to RP.... read more

I used to love them, but I feel their prices are too high now. I can go down the road to Greek Island diner and get a HUGE Greek Salad for the same price. Their food is ok, but again, I can get the same somewhere else and they give you a better portion. read more

Can you say delicious...well you will after you have one of their sandwiches! Chicken Gyro sandwich with fries onions tomatoes and Tzatziki sauce on a Pita...Yummay!! I have always loved there food so I will give them a 5 star. I know prices have gone up but they have gonna very chincy on their portions. I feel I have been getting much more at Greek Island in Wading River than I have here. Love the people who run it, always nice and remember me, but I wish they would go back to better portions. read more

Their gyro is fabulous. My orders are always ready super quick. So glad to finally have a great Greek place in town!

I can not say enough nice things about this place! The staff is so friendly and the food is some of the best Greek food I've ever had. The portions are generous and they also have the best rice pudding around! Nice to support a small business that deserves the praise and is always consistent! read more

Wonderful soup and gyro. Great service, food is always delicious. Gyros are fantastic.

I bought a gyro only. It was $14 which is ridiculous. I went home and took a bite it was rancid! The whole house smelled! I went back to get a refund at least. The guy told me it's not his problem that I don't like it. I told him to smell it and he said, "you could've done something to it". Really? Then he started cursing at me and wanted to fight me. I walked out and he followed me. Pathetic and unacceptable! read more

Very Classic Gyros w/o the salad and fries instead- the way they sell them on the streets of Greece! The Falafel is extremely tasty!

So good. The owner is great. Portions are insane. Tasted. Fresh. Best Greek around. Great service too.

I'm new to the area and have been determined to find a good Greek and/or Mediterranean restaurant. Greek Tastes is the best that I've had so far and I WILL return. It is take-out only, which is great for the current situation but is also just a better business model in general. I made my order online through their website and it was ready within 20 minutes. Got the falafel gyro, chick gyro, and a side of hummus. Both gyros were great. The falafel was crispy on the outside and very FLAVORFUL on the inside (and not dry). The fries in the gyros were a nice touch. The hummus was very good and was perhaps my favorite part. It was obviously homemade (that's a huge compliment). The tahini, lemon, and garlic flavors all shone through. The pita was soft and sprinkled with herbs. Great experience for an at-home movie night. Highly recommend! read more

Not only the best Greek food I've ever had, but the nicest staff we've ever interacted with. My wife and I eat here once a week and we are never disappointed. The portions are large, the food is delicious, and most importantly to me, consistent. We have never had an issue and will continue to support one of our smaller local establishments. read more

Amazing and authentic tasting greek food! Good prices and quality food. We had the hummus, Gyro Salad and the Grilled chicken dinner over rice. Everything was delicious! read more

Salad was tiny and mostly iceberg lettuce. Very small portions for price. Falafels we're very dry.

Ordered take out- still delish when I got home. Awesome Gyros! Came with fries inside- a little different if you're not expecting it, but I enjoyed! Everything was fresh. Loved the extra tzadziki on the gyro (I usually ask for extra and forgot, but it was perfect). Also ordered a platter with lemon potatoes and Greek salad and got the yogurt with sour cherries for dessert- AMAZING!! I did not order the spanakopita, but a friend (who is Greek) did and thought it could use a touch more cowbell in the dill department. I hope the chef can appreciate this one small critique to improve their menu. Staff was so nice - very polite and so thankful for my order. Love this local business, so glad they are in my town and hope they stay for the long haul. read more

We were looking for a greek spot, we live near a few that are ok, tried Greet taste, it's very good and just in my drive range. We tried the gyros, sticks, and soup, all good and authentic tasting. It's a clean kitchen, and welcoming spot. We will put it on our takeout rotation. read more

Disappointed with my Greek Salad bowl with beef And lamb. Salad was crammed into a small tin with only two Greek olives, one stuffed grape leave, two or three slices of tomato, no onion, too many thick cucumbers and skimpy on the feta cheese. Not the same generous salad dish I got a few months ago. Also got a gyro...skimpy on the onion and tomato. read more
