I really liked the food, portions, and service at this place. The spot was out of gyro (super popular!) but I tried a falafel platter and a lamb kebab platter. The lamb was cooked well, seasoned well, as was the falafel patty. The side salad was very fresh and flavorful as was the dressing (likely not the most traditional with the radish but I enjoyed it nonetheless). The tzatziki was a bit watered down in flavors but was not overly sour, which I prefer. The onion rings were super crispy, given in a generous portion. I enjoyed this meal twice with the leftovers. The staff was also very friendly and brought food directly to our table. Overall, this will be a new regular. read more

Been a minute since I ordered. The quality of the food is not the problem here - salads are fresh. Dressing delicious. Chicken is great. But.... It had been a minute since I ordered and I got a small salad. This was not a small. It was a SIDE size salad. I wish I knew they cut the portions in half before I ordered. Small used to be in a decent container. Can't even imagine how small a "medium" is now. Then the fries. They used to have amazing fries but they changed those too. The ones I got this week were terrible. Flavorless and over salted. No crunch. Just a generic, sad, poorly tasting fry. Really sad how everything has changed. Used to go here all the time when I worked in the area, but that was 8 years ago. I wanted to try them again since I remember their chicken lemon soup being some of the best I've had (definitely better than any I've had in the 8 years since). I saw some pretty shockingly negative reviews and thought, oh no! What happened? Then I decided I'd just try it and see for myself. FYI don't always listen to the naysayers! I had the chicken lemon soup which was as good as I remembered, very lemon forward, piping hot, and came with a pita. I had the falafel pita sandwich, huge portion, loads of fresh lettuce tomato and red onion. The falafel was probably the best I've ever had. Large log shape perfect for a sandwich (no little patties falling out), great taste - even had a little kick to it- crumbly but moist texture and cooked perfectly with a crispy crust on the outside. Actually incredibly delicious and filling. I asked for tahini sauce and got quite a large portion of that as well. Drizzled that all in my sandwich and it was absolutely chef's kiss. Service was friendly and speedy. I also like the old-timey atmosphere, it's like a mini Greek diner with all these booths. It's comforting and cute. When possible, it's smart to visit a place more than once before reviewing it. You'll get a better idea as to how said establishment runs, from service to food quality. So after visiting Voulapitta for the second time in the last bunch of months, I can vouch for their reasonably tasty...um, tastiness. Voulapitta isn't anything spectacular in style. It actually looks a little like a 90's pizza parlor or Chinese take out spot. But outdated digs isn't something to shy away from (hey, maybe you'll enjoy the nostalgia). Employees were friendly and better yet, (most of) the food does it justice. I mean if you want a true gyro, you'll need to wait for a Greek festival or find a Mediterranean acquaintance who can hook you up with some freshly-sliced goodness. Until then, Voulapitta does well with the gyro and served me nicely on both my visits. A respectable amount of meat was found inside the pita bread along with lettuce, onion, tomato and a deliciously creamy tzatziki sauce. For a few more dollars, make it a plate and get a side salad (great dressing!) along with your choice of seasoned rice or French fries (went with rice both times and was pleasantly pleased). On this past and more recent trip, a spanakopita (spinach pie) was also purchased. Here's where things veered off a tad. Put the ingredients of a gyro together and you're bound to have a good experience...I can't say the same for this spanakopita which wasn't bad, but paled in comparison to most other spinach pies I've had the liberty to digest. Perhaps that's why it was on a part of the menu that was almost hidden. Let's just stick to gyros. Overall, Voulapitta isn't about the frills. It's all about the gyro and that shows by how things jive on your tastebuds. Maybe the place isn't a gourmet wonder of grub, but if you're craving that pita-based handheld, Voulapitta will answer the call. Here's to the third round coming soon. read more

I got a Gyro was disappointed. I felt price for gyro was high for what they gave me. They don't make gyro for u they serve in an aluminum pan salad with very little meat on top of salad 1 grape leaf and wrap pita( my order was to go. I have never got a gyro this was and I haven't been here in 2 years. Definitely new owns. It cheap for them to give it to u that way but no satisfying . Got the chicken souvlaki sandwich with a side of rice and salad. The sandwich was meh. Chicken was under seasoned and the portions were small for what I paid. Salad was probably the best part even though it was tiny. The rice is barely edible, has no flavor and was under cooked. This used to be my favorite Greek place but ever since the new owners have taken over, the food isn't as good & they cut the portion size with raising prices. The dressing provided with the gyro platter used to be in 4 oz. containers when double salad was ordered, now it's only 2 oz. & seems watered down. The tzatziki sauce also appears to be watered down as well. The lettuce isn't as fresh as it used to be with too many radishes in it, makes for a lousy salad. Now the staff - they really should focus more on getting orders inputted correctly instead of talking to other staff. Time to find another Greek take out place. read more

This is the best Greek salad around! Seriously, I have never had a better dressing than this anywhere!!! My suggestion is to come in and sit down for this delicious salad. Yes, it's good for take out, but it's amazing eating it with your side of warm cut pita bread. Taking one of those tasty pita triangles and layering it with their thinly sliced marinated chicken (I like thin chicken) and topping it with that salty feta, perfectly dressed salad...yummmmmm. I crave this salad at least once a week. My husband enjoys the gyro meat, but me, I Chicken. Best Greek salad in the game, with the best home made (?) dressing I've ever tasted in a Greek salad. Their lettuce seems crispier and fresher than other places. Their pita is warmed perfectly and it not stale when you get it. Gyro's are top notch, not incredibly greasy, more gyro meat than you'll need, and not skimpy on the sauce in one of those delicious pitas. Side note, French are fries are amazing. Fresh! You can't knock this place for their salads or their gyros, they are TOP NOTCH-- the only knock is that they are super expensive. That salad will cost you $14. read more

Grabbed a quick bite before heading to Wal-Mart. I had the Chicken Lemon soup in a bread bowl. Not great. Overly lemony for me, with a flavor I couldn't quite make out. My husband had the gyro, which he enjoyed. Fries were fried nicely and crisp. Neither of us cared for the rice and seasonings in it. We shared fried shrimp, which were pretty good. Cocktail sauce was more sweet, not too spicy. Would have preferred tasting more horseradish, but cocktail sauce really isn't a Greek condiment. Overall, food was okay. Great local gyro joint that's been around for years. Four stars is alittle high but three would def be too low It hasn't aged well over time in terms of innovation with it being VERY STANDARD in terms of Greek food. You could def get better gyro at other locations but this place has a great track record in terms of order accuracy, convenience and consistency (I've never had a bad experience with the food) The yogurt sauce is Def the star of the show when it comes to the gyro sandwiches and has a great flavor (I always pony up and buy an extra sauce). You can tell the meat and Pita are food distribution items and nothing spectacular. The chicken lemon soup is great on a cold day and is AWESOME to dip with a few extra pitas. I tried this place once before and was not impressed. We just had food delivered from there and I got a lamb Gyro. I threw it out. They should be ashamed of themselves. The lettuce was soggy and it smelled. The tomatoes were sitting in this thing for a while they were clear. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. It was truly disgusting. We usually get take out here and have been satisfied every single time. The large Greek salad was gigantic packed with cheese and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Falafel sandwich was very good but slightly dry. Gyro delicious and super filling but doesn't really taste like lamb. Yoghurt sauce.... I could drink that stuff I love dill and it has plenty of it. The cheese pie YUM. It is pricey but i don't mind spending money on something that's filling and tasty. The staff is very friendly on the phone and in person. The young cashier girl is always so sweet and accommodating. You can tell everybody there works hard. I will definitely be back for more, this place has a spot in my rotation.
