UPDATE: Came on a Tuesday evening and sat at the bar. I will say it was busy but I was disappointed in how long it took to get my food. The bartender Myles, had to check twice. Also two men sat next to me about 10 minutes after I ordered and they only ordered the tacos but those came out in less than 5 minutes while I had already been waiting like 25 mins for my food. I ordered the $30 women's month special which consisted of a 5oz steak, Caesar salad, fries and l did a lemon drop martini versus the dry martini. In looking at the glasses other people's martinis came in, I feel like I received a smaller glass for. I drink - it wasn't in the typical martini glass. And no they didn't run out of glasses nor was it specific to this meal because other ladies at the bar who had the same meal, had a martini glass. Overall this was a 5/10 for me. Steak was salty and lukewarm, fries were cold and I wasn't a fan of the salad. I think it was the Caesar dressing na famine the lettuce. But the ranch and barbecue sauce were good. I'd still come back try something else on their menu.

Hey! I didn't know this was a sister restaurant to The Ranch so if you have been there it's practically the same thing. I had been wanting to go here forever and finally did I thought it would be a new experience or different but it wasn't it's the same food as The Ranch but both places are fire regardless. I loved the location and decor feels nice. The food and drinks were amazing. My friends steak was too rare for my liking but they are it anyways I would have returned it so I'm glad I got the chicken fried steak you can't go wrong with that. I totally recommend and would come back.

I love Haywire! Always so fun to go with a group of friends. I always dream about their fried green tomatoes. This time I got the cheeseburger and it was very good. Their French fry sides are like no other as well and the servers are always so fun and excellent. You definitely can get a better steak elsewhere but they are certainly good still and I appreciate that things like appetizers are reasonably priced here!

Despite having a reservation, my group still had to wait 15 to 20 minutes just to be seated. The service was just okay, nothing terrible, but it didn't exactly make up for the initial wait. However, the real disappointment was the food. Most of our entrees were over-seasoned (specifically very salty) and felt quite underwhelming for the price point. On the bright side, the drinks were well-made and definitely the highlight of the day. Thy also had fantastic salads; it was the best thing we ate.

We enjoyed a fun ladies night out here on the last day of the March cowgirl dinner. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, wine, elk tacos, cowgirl dinner, and delicious hot desserts! Our young waitress was not really on top of it, but came through in the end. The decor is eclectic, lots of room for big parties, and just well put together in general.

Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed my experience! We were sat in the "covered patio" side of the restaurant which I loved. It was so warm and cozy. Our server Jen was great! The most memorable thing about our lunch was the choice of unique flavors for every menu item. From the broccolini and green beans to the creamy corn, to the chicken fried steak. Everything had its own original flavor. I can't say there's anywhere else restaurant wise I could compare the flavors here to. I think my food was slightly lacking in salt but for most things on the table I was able to add that myself. I was just hoping for more saltiness in the chicken fried steak batter. Overall I enjoyed the vibe and food here I'll definitely be returning.

Some of the best bbq food I've ever had!! Baby back ribs were so lean and flavorful and sauce was spiced just right and not too sweet. I will dream about those ribs!! broccolini and tomato side was garden fresh perfection. Corn muffin was toasty and perfectly sweet and buttery. And the apps we shared were amazing! Fried green tomatoes with this cilantro crema were delicious, as well as the elk tacos and onion rings. We all loved our food!! Breakfast potatoes and fries were seasoned and so flavorful. 10/10 you must go!!

Came here for the cowgirl dinner with a group of ladies and our waitress was wonderful. The steak was great, the fries were omg. Cesar salad was pretty good but it wad definitely way bigger in the promo photo. I really appreciated that you could also select one of their mocktails as your drink. This is the 2nd time we have been here and we love it. The service is always fantastic. The valet wasn't happening when we went on Wednesday night so we ended up parking in the garage across the street. The food was fantastic! We will definitely come back.

The fish was great. The flavor and texture was definitely immaculate. The shrimp was cooked well. Not tough or chewy. Flavored similarly to the fish. The rice was different. My first time eating Chimichurri rice was decent. The texture of the rice was good. The decor in the restaurant is very rustic but elegant. This place did not disappoint! My family and I had an incredible brunch at Haywire. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and rustic with a great aesthetic appeal- setting the perfect mood for a short weekend in Dallas. Our server was a gem- super attentive, offering fantastic recommendations, and keeping our cocktails flowing without us even asking. The real standout, though, was the delicious food- The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable for the quality, and every dish was a hit. We're already planning our next visit! Highly recommend this brunch spot!

Visiting Dallas and went with a group. I ordered the Chef's "Favorite 4" queso blanco, branding iron onion rings, mini elk tacos, fried green tomatoes. The queso blanco should have came with chips. But nicely presented and tasty with huge onion rings. House salad was also huge and the greens were fresh. Couldn't resist the Whiskey Bread Pudding so no entree for me. Busy Thursday evening but we had reservations and the service was efficient.

I've been to Haywire on three separate occasions and never had an experience like the one I had this evening. The service was slow, and the staff was uneducated on the menu. My friend initially ordered the short rib, only to find out it's no longer on the menu. She expressed that she was a non-pork eater and asked the waitress for beef recommendations...raving about the beef ribs, my friend decided to go with the waitress' pick. A few bites in she questioned if they were in fact pork instead of beef. We asked a waiter walking by (since our waitress was no where in sight) he advised it was pork, still in disbelief the chef walked by so we stopped him just to confirm it was in fact "pork" but he assured us it was beef. My friend wasn't convinced so we when the manager Jenny passed (3rd times a charm) for one last confirmation she emphatically told us they were pork and sprung into action to rectify the situation. The disconnect between the wait staff and the chef on the menu items left a bad taste in our mouths. Thank you, Jenny, for attempting to correct the situation, but I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. read more

The food was incredible!. I had the barbacoa grilled cheese dipped in tortilla soup. One of the best things I've ever tasted in my life. 3 stars because the service was severely lacking. Every single front of house employee was on their cell phone the entire time I was there. Hence the service was extremely slow. It was hard to get the hostess's attention because she was on her cell phone. EVERYONE was on their cell phone. I've never experienced that. Everyone was super friendly but, yeah, plan to be here at least a couple of hours. read more

This place is pretty cool. The worst part was a group of 3 once we got seated took 3 hours for food and another 40 minutes to get our bill. I had great company so it was not horrible but the drinks were empty, the food was gone and the restaurant was almost empty. They do have a great bourbon selection and be prepared for a little on the spendy side while in Uptown Dallas. read more

My husband and I went to Haywire for dinner before attending a concert at the AAC. We got the chef's favorite 4 appetizer: queso, onion rings, elk tacos, and fried green tomatoes. It was great. More than the two of us could handle for sure. Then we shared the grilled caesar, the 10oz filet, and the whipped potatoes, all of which were fantastic. We also had several drinks which we enjoyed. Very trendy place with ample seating and seems to have its own pulse! We had the cheese appetizer along with Fave 4 - all was yummy good! Hubby had the CFS and LOVED the jalapeño sausage gravy! I tried the shrimp salad - it was good, but probably wouldn't get it again. We were celebrating my birthday so I got a free dessert! I chose the Homestead cake which isn't a carrot cake, I'm not sure what it was kind of a spice/caramel with pecans, which made the dessert! Our friends got the bison and they LOVED it along with the Chipotle Chocolate cake - tbh I liked the chocolate cake the best! Overall a good experience except with parking. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PARK IN THE RIGHT PARKING GARAGE! Or better yet, just do valet for $5. We parked at 2000 McKinney Ave, which is Texas Capitol Bank building and it cost us $14! We came for Sunday brunch, a party of 6. We got there early and they seated us soon after opening. We had three vegetarians in our party, and the pickings were slim! The choice was either pancakes or veggie pasta or sides Hey guys, it's 2022! Having said that, I had the pork belly appetizer and a side of their Mac 'n cheese, and I thought it was top notch. Everyone seemed to like their food, but those pancakes were not for the faint of heart! Service was very slow: one hour from being seated to food delivery. We didn't order bar beverages. 3 of us had dinner there tonight. We went about 5:15 so it was not busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and my friend had the 6 oz. filet and it was cooked perfectly, I had the chili brined chicken and it was moist and tasty. The mole amarillo had a strong dried chili pepper flavor, more of a ranchero sauce. Not bad, just not what I expected. The romanesco still had texture and the pepitas added nice crunch. Checked out Yelp reviews and decided to come here for Saturday brunch/lunch- and so glad we did! Such an enjoyable, delicious experience- starting with our server Khyla and ending with great food. My husband and son had the Ranch Hand breakfast and I had the Pecan Brown Batter pancakes- something sweet and savory for everyone! Highly recommend their Bloody Mary, too! There was a bit of a snafu getting us our food on time, but it was mostly just a misunderstanding. I've been in town for a business trip this week so I wanted to try a local DFW hot spot. I found Haywire and decided to give it a go! I was greeted and taken care of by an amazing server named Jennifer! She recommended that I order the prime rib sandwich and WOW!! Completely ambrosial!!! I also appreciate how late their kitchen is open in the evenings (10-11 pm) so you can stop by for a late night bite.

I came in for the first time of Sunday for dinner and sat at the bar. Would have given five stars but there was one thing I didn't like and that was the silverware on the bar just sitting out in the open. In an almost post Covid world where people are still pretty aware of health hazards this doesn't seem like a wise choice. Anyone can sit down and cough or sneeze, touch them with their hands, you never know. It wouldn't be hard for the bartenders to present silverware upon greeting a customer. I did ask for new silverware which wasn't hard but just seemed like an extra step to something that didn't need to be done. On another note my bartenders kayla and Columbus were fantastic and took very good care of my needy self. They get five starts in my book. read more

We were seated with no reservation which was nice. It took a while before anyone came to bring menus and drinks but our server was very nice. Once we got our food it was very good. The steak I ordered was burnt on the ends but overall it was seasoned well and very tender. The Texas Twisted Lemonade was delicious I wish I could have had more than one but it got busy and I think our server was tending bar as well as serving guests. We created a reservation because we didn't know how busy they were going to be, but we came at a good time and got seated and we're able to get our food fairly quickly. Every time I go out to eat, I love eating at Haywire Uptown. Whether you are seated at a table or booth or at the bar, the atmosphere is incredibly pleasant. Along with a house salad, I adore striped sea bass. My only gripe is that, for hygienic reasons, please remove your thumb from the dish when the staff bring out the food. I find this offensive since I'm not sure if their hands are clean. When delivering food to the table, I wish restaurants would require staff to wear gloves.
