From the lovely murals guiding your way from the garage to the restaurant, all the way to the adorable airstream on the patio. Haywire does not miss! Everything on the menu sounds amazing. Looking at the current menu online, i am not seeing the Fried Okra. I really hope they didn't remove that because that's one of the best items on there!! Fried okra spears were so crispy and flavorful. The dipping sauce that came with it really took it over the top. I think it was a spicy ranch possibly. Gonzalo kept me entertained at the bar and gave me great recommendations on what to try. Gonzalo is knowledgeable, personable and just fantastic! The bartenders were making holiday cocktails so i got the pleasure of trying one. For my entrée i had to try the slow n' low chicken with a little extra shrimp on top and OMG. To die for. Sooo much flavor. Cannot go wrong with either of those menu items but i think they have a seasonal menu out right now and these may not be available. You can take the trolley right up to the front of the restaurant but there is garage parking. The garage can be easy to miss, i had to circle around a couple times until i found it and could make the turn. From there you take the elevators directly to the inside of the restaurant. I found Haywire via Yelp and it didn't disappoint. I love the decor, location and the vibe of the restaurant. The food was 10 out of 10 and my server was amazing. He was very personable, friendly and not overbearing. This is on my list of places to keep in rotation. read more

Haywire is a cozy Texas-themed restaurant with attentive service and Southern-inspired cuisine (although their chili is the Texan version, no beans to be seen here!) I ordered the chicken BLT with an included side of Caesar salad (you could also get fries or fresh fruit). The sandwich was a good size, although it felt denser and richer than I expected. The salad was unique with a balsamic dressing instead of the usual creamy dressing that accompanies Caesar salads. Overall, I would say Haywire is a place to go if you want Southern hospitality and don't mind a cheat day! read more

Came here for a bday dinner and it was great! They wouldn't seat our group of 9 until everyone was there so that was slightly annoying but understandable. I split the chicken fried steak with a friend and they brought it out on two plates for us, we subbed the green beans for the Brussels and those were so good! The restaurant is so cute and our server was very nice and brought out a free bday banana pudding dessert for the bday girl and extra spoons to share. They did automatically add gratuity to our bills so just be aware when you are signing on their little thing he hands you because it will ask you again if you want to tip even though your receipt has a tip included! I've been going to Haywire for a while now. It's such a chill place, great if you're wanting to grab a quick dinner in casual clothes or dress up. All of the food is sourced locally which I love. The staff here is always so nice. I always either get the bbq ribs or meatloaf, you can't go wrong with either and you MUST get the cornbread no matter what you order. All the service staff are in Cowboy/Cowgirl chic attire. Love the ambiance and location specially at night. The lump crab dip are to die for. Portions are good enough for 2-3 people to share. I'm so disappointed how the Haywire handle the reservations requests. I called and email several times to get a group dinning for business and no one was able to give me a replay, when I called and ask to talk with management as suggested in the website,someone said that sales team would get back with me in 48 hours and in the weekend they don't have management available to handle reservations. I use to love this restaurant and I chose them for my business Christmas dinning this year but what a regret. I never saw a such terrible costumer services like this... I enjoyed my visit. I had reservations for 2 on a Saturday at 7:45 via open table. We were seated in a booth by a window. The aesthetics of the restaurant are nice! There was a nice soft romantic glow inside. The patio area looked nice as well but it was still warm outside. The waitresses and waiters were some nice looking people! Our waiter could definitely audition to be a Chippendale dancer! Now on to the food. We started off with the queso dip and Long Island frozen tea. The queso was ok, a little too thick for my liking but still edible! I'm a light drinker so after a few sips the tea had me a little buzzed but it was good nonetheless. For my entree I decided to go with the Smoked Fried Chicken with a side of zucchini and cornbread. The chicken included 3 pieces that I definitely couldn't finish. Brought a couple of friends on Thursday of last week. We shared a couple of appetizers by the suggestion of our server Crymson, who is amazing at her job. She knows the menu inside and out and knew exactly what to suggest. We had the delicious onion rings, and of course the best queso and chips. After stuffing ourselves on appetizers we then had garlic stuffed filet, red snapper, elk tacos and shared buttermilk whipped potatoes, and delicious Mac and cheese. After, Crymson talked us into the bourbon pecan pie which was to die for! She is excellent at what she does and has a lot of pride in her job and what she is selling. I am always beyond pleased when she is my server. Haywire Uptown is one of my favorites in Uptown. So good. read more

We made reservations for a Thursday night at 6:45, but it was not very busy at that time. The staff was fast and friendly. Our server had great service as well as very knowledgeable with the menu and gave great recommendations. The crab dip is ABSOLUTELY delicious, very creamy and rich in flavor. The steaks were cooked to perfection, very juicy and melt in your mouth. (They even wrapped the bone from my steak for my dog!) Even the sides were great, from the cheesy & velvety Mac and Cheese to the savory charred jalapeño cream corn and the grilled asparagus. For dessert we got the route 66 pecan pie, although we aren't the biggest fans of pecans, it wasn't overpowering and the cinnamon roll crust made up for it. Will definitely return! read more
