Pretty typical Hawaiian grub served in a clean setting and actually the friendliest gal who was serving, taking orders and cleaning who actually appeared to like her job!!! Pretty good, considering her age and the times, so kudos to that young lady! I usually have the Regular Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Macaroni Salad. Yum! Great place to get your Hawaiian fix!

$16 worth? Not one bit. Won't be back

This place sucks. I ordered the large chicken and vegetable plate, and asked if they could sub the rice and max salad for extra veggies. They charged me an extra 1.50 for both, so extra $3. Total was $16....that's a lot of money for a meal but if the amount was right it would kind of be worth it? But they still somehow managed to skimp my order. For $16 including added charges you would think the to go box would be filled to the almost brim but it's just so skimp and not even close to what it's worth. Plus I got about 10 pieces of chicken...lol SKIMP and CHEAP. This isn't the first time it's happened. Won't be back, the food isn't even that good.

We are at the Coburg Rd. Hawaiian Time. Very nice clean utilitarian setup! The teriyaki chicken was delicious and service was quick.

The food was fresh and hot. Seasoning was there both on the pasta as well as the meats.

Steak frites. Seafood ceviche. Tomahawk steak. I mean... come on. Also -- the bar! Some of the hardest-working pros in the Springfield/Eugene scene are behind it. Great wine list and cocktails that feel like smart little love letters to the classics. In short: this place is legit. Great people, great food, great drinks. I wanted to like this place so bad. My family took me here as special celebration of getting to see…read moreeach other while I was visiting. The inside was pretty but it REEKED of used kitty litter the second we walked in. I have no idea why it smelled like that but that's what my entire family described it as and it got even stronger when you walked by the end of the bar. We ordered drinks and I did really like mine so that was a plus. We then ordered a couple appetizers as we had a fairly big party. The sourdough trio and the beef carpaccio were okay. We loved the scallop esquites though which were delicious. The bathroom was really weird, you go through a back door down a hallway and once you get to the all gender bathroom it's closed off by plywood doors for each individual stall which was really weird and felt cheap in a restaurant that looks nicer. Our waitress sucked (a middle aged blonde woman). She took forever to take our orders because she for some reason assumed we were just getting appetizers even though we never said that. When taking our orders my stepdad said "oh you're starting with me?" Just because I think he wasn't ready and in a rude tone she says "well you're sitting in seat number one so I'm just going by order". She was rarely at our table and spent more time talking with the bartender and who I assume are regulars who were sitting at the bar. When our food came out she said "you also ordered the teres major right?" While setting it in front of me before I said no. She then said "oh yeah, I knew that was wrong before I even said anything" and that she had put my order in wrong. She said she'd have the cooks put a rush on it but you can't really put a rush on a steak. She brought out the sides that go with my dish so I wouldn't be without food but the green beans were incredibly salty and the mashed potatoes were dry and almost cold. When my mom offered to let me have some of her steak for the time being the waitress butted in to say "she does have food coming". When my steak finally came out everyone else was already finished eating but she did bring it out with fresh sides and the mashed potatoes were much better! Granted the texture and appearance was so different from the first ones it really made me wonder just how old those first potatoes were which grossed me out a bit. My steak was delicious and I did get a side of chimichurri which was the best chimichurri I've had in a long time. My sister said the sauce for her seafood linguini was pretty bland but she otherwise enjoyed her dish. My mom also mentioned the teres major was really good. So there were some pluses but we all decided the negatives outweighed the positives. Would not recommend.

The food was incredible--like the kind where you take a bite and just stop for a second because it's that good. You can tell there's real skill and intention behind every dish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable without feeling overdone or pretentious. It felt like the kind of place you actually want to sit, relax, and actually enjoy your time. Chef Billy was a highlight--super personable, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about what he does. That personal touch made the whole experience even better. And honestly, this place set the bar so high that when we went to another restaurant the following week and paid more for our meal, it didn't even come close. We literally left wishing we had just gone back here instead. That says everything. If you're considering trying Dueling Spoons--do it. This place is something special, and I'll absolutely be back.

I came down this week from the Bay Area (California) and stepped away from the crowd and decided to launch on my own and find a soul food restaurant, since most of my friends are bland eaters. I never had smothered pork chops with white gravy ( I prefer brown) but it was delish. Served with I'm not too sure what kind of white rice it was but I don't think long grain.. Also, I forgot although I do not typically like cornbread , they cornbread is something else very delish I ate the whole slice nd that was my 1st time ever eating a whole slice of cornbread. There were a lot of issues with the order one of the issues was that the salad dressing was literally hot when it arrived. The steak was missing etc. I was contacted by the owner who apologized and sent me a full refund. I will be trying this restaurant again but maybe in person instead of delivery. I feel very grateful that someone listened and gave us a refund. Um. What. First time ordering from here and last time. Why would this be $85?. Paid extra for steak AND for extra serving of steak on all 3 orders and got a small serving of steak on 2 orders and chicken on the other one, definitely not extra. Ok. The dressing was hot. Paid for 3 extra servings of potatos on one order and got what looks to be a regular serving. Worried we might get sick coz if the order is this off ..who knows. Hope not. Wanted to like it!!! The chicken tasted ok. The fruit cups were good except i paid for extra fruit and well .. nothing looks like the photos at all. My family is throwing a fit and won't even eat it. Ugh.
