msuhroom toast
Rebecca H.

We stopped in for what I thought would be breakfast but what GF thought would be "coffee and a snack". It's an order-at-the-counter type of situation. We made it just in the nick of time for breakfast. They have a bunch of good shit including vegetarian shit that was nice to see. Tons of variety too: sandwiches, scrambles, bowls, buritos, omelets, sweet breakfast things. I settled on the haven scramble with scrambled eggs, butternut squash, asparagus, spinach, and goat cheese. This shit was served with bread, salad, and potatoes. This was SO good especially with a splash of hot sauce they offered on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bite of the asparagus was a nice texture addition. The portion was very plentiful, I was full for hours which is very unlike me. I was also intrigued by their "caramel inferno" coffee. I did see some what I would guess is cayenne pepper floating around in there but didn't taste it. It was a good idea but didn't pan out. The coffee just tasted like a very good caramel coffee and I was not complaining about that. GF ordered a vanilla latte and msuhroom toast which she seemed to enjoy quite a bit. We really liked their outdoor patio which allowed us to bring the dogs. It was a lovely meal in very enjoyable weather.

It was our first time in the area, and we came across this cozy spot by chance. What caught my eye was the beautiful coffee art and the variety of latte options. We came in as a family of four, and the food was simple yet delicious. My latte was unforgettable--just the perfect morning pick‑me‑up. The staff was friendly, and the creative vibe with plants and warm lighting felt welcoming. We even picked up funny socks from their gift aisle. Highly recommend for meetups or one‑on‑one chats.

We stopped in for breakfast. We had the steel cut oats with a poached pear and homemade granola. Everything was delicious. The only thing was the oatmeal could have been hotter. Service was good. Plenty of seating inside.

We came to Haven everyday on our short trip to town. Frankly they are amazing in so many ways for a group style meal - casual and friendly, diverse menu with a lot of familiar yet unique options, excellent allergy awareness and great service all around. Though bustling, they are quick to move with attention and care and offer seating inside, outside and to go. My favorites list is almost too long: the gingerbread brownie - must try moisture and flavor. The pecan turtle was epic with delightful chocolate and crunch. The kale salad was so wonderfully balanced with the sweet potatoes and goat cheese. Each baked good feels packed with love and dense with nourishment. And to top it all - they have Oatly oatmilk, a favorite. Even better, they honor a classic brunch multi-drink setup with a delightful menu of classics like bloody Mary, espresso martini, and my favorite they fresh not too sweet elderberry blood orange spritz. Thank you for delicious meals everyday. Such a cute farmstore local vibe with a community space feel.

Haven Cafe & Bakery is located in the small town of Lenox, Massachusetts off Franklin street next to Yao Asian Fusion Cuisine, Prime Italian Steakhouse, and Bagel & Brew. Haven is a casual quick service cafe where customers must go up to the register and place an order and a server brings your meal to your table. The ambiance of Haven is traditional New England style with light wood tables and dark wood floors brick walls, and brick exterior walls. Haven specializes in coffee, breakfast, desserts, pastries, and lunch sandwiches. The blueberry baked French toast came with with maple mascarpone and a nice blueberry sauce. 8/10 The salmon Benedict came with Smoked salmon, asparagus and poached eggs on a croissant with dill hollandaise. 9/10 The Haven Cobb Salad came with Grilled chicken, NF bacon, marinated tomatoes, avocado and Spanish Bleu cheese on mesclun greens with red wine vinaigrette. 8/10 The Haven Burger came with a grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free 6 oz Beef burger with Spanish Bleu cheese, onion confit and roasted mushrooms on a challah bun, served with house cut fries for $18. The burger was not ready to eat. The blue cheese came as a scoop and was not evenly distributed. I had to distribute the blue cheese with a knife and move the mushrooms on top of the burger and move the greens on top of the burger too. The burger was tasty and juicy and not overcooked or too dry. 9/10 The service was not applicable as this was not a full service restaurant. However, the lady at the register was friendly and the server bringing the food out was friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there were no complaints from anyone. The haven mocha latte was delicious! Haven's prices were a bit on the high side for what we got but everything was good and that is to be expected of a small town in New England. If you're in the Lenox Massachusetts area and craving dessert, pastry, breakfast or coffee, definitely check out the Haven cafe & bakery!

Fine bakery! Haven has a serious parking problem and heating issue. Soft muffins. Hot coffee with ingredients and neat silverware station. Mixed size tables. Counter signage needs larger letters. Good for breakfast. Review: 4

So many options for eggs Benedict that I knew I had to try them bc I have trust issues with restaurants and eggs Benedict. Absolutely delicious and they served them over these house-made biscuits that was perfection. They had some really good latte flavors as well. Note: while this is a sit down place, it's not full service.

Beautiful place located in Lenox MA. Entering the place itself gives you the feel of old New England with a touch of now, the service was very good and the food was delicious . I wish I would have known about this place sooner.

PHENOMENAL. I guess we saved the best meal for last on our little winter weekend getaway to Lenox, MA. I had the heavenly Haven Scramble (Butternut squash, asparagus, goat cheese) with house potatoes, the delicious gluten-free sourdough and a Golden Milk Latte with oat milk. Picked up a bakery box of gluten free carrot cake and apple tart for the road--both were great (would have loved a little more filling in the apple tart, but still fantastic!). As a gluten intolerant person who has been strictly gf for the past eight years, this was one of the best breakfasts I've had just about anywhere. Fast, friendly service, full on a Sunday morning--but the crowd moved quickly. Affordable prices, nice location, lots of light flooding in through the windows, even on a snowy, overcast day. I believe TJ (or PJ!) was my server and he was so kind. Looking forward to returning.

The food here is fresh and well-executed! Great selection for brunch, and I appreciated that each entree included home fries and greens. They also bring hot sauce to the table without asking, which is always a nice touch. Definitely recommend the Haven Scramble & Eggs Benedict. Parking & the wait can be a bit much during peak hours, but overall the experience is great!

The food here is incredible. The prices are reasonable, the portions are large, and the quality is excellent. The eggs were the perfect texture. The servers are kind and friendly too. There is a line (even on a Monday midday!), but it moves efficiently. The outdoor seating area is lovely with umbrellas for shade & beautiful flower boxes. I can't wait to be back just to have these pancakes again! 10/10 highly recommend

Consistent line on a Sunday all the way until the place closes. Fresh food and quick serve. A solid choice in the area for breakfast/brunch.

A Valentine's dinner that did not impress!…read more Valentine's has always been a very special holiday for me. My husband and I decided to spend the weekend in the Berkshires, which was lovely and quiet. I made reservations ahead of time for this highly rated wine bar and very close to where we were staying. First off, due to the previous weather/storms they had no street parking. But luckily we parked in a nearby lot. Upon arrival, the restaurant bar area was very nice and romantic. The server brought us to our table but I was a bit disappointed in the ambiance. I mean the bar area was a bit darker and the table that we were being seated at had a lot of light. Now, don't get me wrong, It was Valentine's day which screams romantic and there was no romantic vibe to this restaurant. After mentioning this to our server she did move us and turned down the lights a bit which was much better. Food/Drinks: The menu was not big at all which was nice. I ordered a dirty martini to start which needed more olive juice and my husband ordered a rum cocktail which he enjoyed. For starters, I ordered their Over Roasted Parsnip which was very good and filling. My husband had their Beet Salad which he said was excellent. For entrees, I had their Seared Duck Breast. I really enjoyed the caramel sauce but did not love the duck itself. My husband had the Oven Roasted Chicken Statler which was very dry he could barley eat it. Also, since this is a wine bar I will say the wines were nothing special which was also a bit disappointing. I wish they had something unique and special to offer especially being on a Valentine's Day. I feel this place may be more of a summer destination. Service: Service was excellent I will say. Our server was always asking how things were, checking on us and if we needed anything and asking about any additional drinks. etc. Also, the Manager came over to ask how everything was but he spefically looked at me. I think my husband would've mentioned his meal being dry if he looked at him as well but my husband could've spoken up too. We did say something to our server after she asked about the chicken dish, which they ended up taken off the bill which was very nice. Overall: I didn't love Alta Wine Bar my first time here, but I would come back in the spring or summer months when the weather is warm to try it again. Cheers~

The service was so friendly and so efficient. Since my friends and I are doing "dry January" we order faux mimosas...which we made ourselves at the table...sparkling water and orange juice. We had coffee and teas (a good selection of teas!) The two best items we tried were the Full Stack Lemon Ricotta Pancakes & the Eggs Benedict with Avocado, Bacon & Brie Eggs Benedict. The pancakes were lemony and creamy and not too sweet. The Benedict was savory, the poached eggs were perfectly cooked (runny), and the English muffins were toasted to perfection. The avocado and bacon and Brie was so savory and creamy and in sync with the hollandaise sauce. SO GOOD! We also had the Sweet Potato Bacon Hash, which tasted delicious but the texture was a little mashed potato-like. I wished the potatoes had a bit more structure. The Corned Beef Hash (side) was not special, just basic corned beef hash. Large fruit plate was fresh with a great variety of fruit! I will come back again for sure!

Like the size of burgers, I wish they had told us how big because the hubby and I both got an order. On top of that, I asked twice for my plain black iced coffee, and it didn't show up until after I finished eating, which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering it. It genuinely felt like the staff was more focused on chatting with each other than taking care of customers. The vibe from the employees was also not great. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, I got a reaction that felt really judgmental and dismissive, which made me uncomfortable. When I asked for the Wi-Fi, I got hit with a snarky, "Do you not see the sign?" while they pointed at something completely hidden. The whole thing came off as really passive-aggressive. Overall, the service felt rude and unwelcoming, the food was cold, and the drink situation was just annoying. I left feeling like I had spent money just to be treated poorly. I've actually given this place a few chances, because I do like the aesthetics, but the food and service are just not good. The food is bland, and I don't feel like paying $20 for something that tastes like cardboard. ALSO I ordered a kale salad and the kale wasn't even massaged. It was just straight up kale dressing and a few pumpkin seeds. This was $17 by the way.

Most recently my husband and I split a turkey club crepe, French onion crepe and seasonal strawberry rhubarb crepe. All brilliant. 2 years ago when we came through we had the French toast breakfast crepe (which included eggs and bacon inside it) which I still think about because it was delicious, but so confusing that those flavors were so good together. The little salad given with the lunch crepes is appreciated too. This spot is usually pretty busy. You order at the counter, take a number and sit. They have a fridge of tap water carafes you can grab for your table and they will bring the kitchen items out to you. Sometimes there's an in shop singer. It's a nice space with flowers, art and local interest items as decor. The only uncomfortable moment is it bottlenecks a lot by the order counter and can be crowded there.
