When out of town I love trying local coffee shops. Unfortunately this one was not as satisfying as I had hoped. I waited almost 10 minutes for an iced latte despite the fact that there was only one person who ordered ahead of me when I arrived. The drink was ok. A great way to round out the small town experience in the Berkshires. This cute corner cafe offers up a variety of coffees, sandwiches and pastries. I enjoyed a damn fine cortado here (even on a sweltering morning). Unfortunately closed on Sundays -- missed that option. read more

Stopped on a whim at 1 pm on a Tuesday. Grabbed a biscotti, hot cocoa and latte. No one else was in the store which was modern looking and filled with delectable looking pastries. We sat outside sipping our ordinary drinks and munching on my yummy but rock-hard biscotti as the sitting area slowly filled up. People even ordered ice cream on such a cold but sunny day--it must be good. The owner came out when we sat down and started the outdoor heater which was nice. I'd return but remember to dunk my biscotti instead of almost breaking my teeth! read more

Pleasant spot, ample outdoor seating, very COVID safe. I got their hot chai latte w/ oat milk and it was good -- for chai enthusiasts out there, they use powdered chai and Planet Oat. Normally those two are a no-go for me (concentrate and Oatly ftw) but I liked this. They have a great selection from Berkshire Mountain Bakery (we got their chocolate bread), some ice cream from High Lawn, and some good baked goods. I had the vegan oatmeal raisin cookie and thought it was OK, though it could be denser. Overall: nice spot, a little slow but not too bad. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely go back. read more

We came for brunch on a fairly gloomy day but caught the sunshine just in time to be able to enjoy their outdoor seating. There are probably 5-7 small tables in front of the cafe with just 1 seating area inside. For such a small cafe, their menu is a good size with multiple options for breakfast, lunch, dessert, smoothies or bakery goods. I ordered the Liliana eggs and my friend ordered the Lox Benedict. Both were delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Our iced coffees were light and we stayed for a dessert crepe as well. I got a loaf of chocolate bread to go. They now offer ice cream as well, which I'd love to try next time. It seems to be run entirely by a couple, so you have to be patient with ordering. They did get overwhelmed today with too many orders and ended up declining orders eventually; they may be short staffed due to COVID. Both people are sweet and friendly and appreciate the patronage I'm sure! As an NYC girl, small cafes are a favorite and I'll definitely be back to this one. read more

We came here after having a very mediocre breakfast and needed some real coffee. My only complaint is that we didn't go to Shots earlier during our weekend to the Berkshires. It was the best coffee we had AND they had breakfast (for some reason, this was a bit of a challenge... you either had to get good coffee at a coffee house and then breakfast elsewhere; breakfast places had watered down coffee and coffee places only had muffins). Shots Cafe had a large selection of pastries, macarons, and a full menu. They also make great (translation: STRONG) espresso and cappuccino. The interior is nicely decorated and very clean. There also is outdoor seating. My BF and I will definitely be coming back here when we return to the Berkshires. read more

The latte was a bit small for the price but the lemon crepe was great and everything was made quickly (although there were not many customers). I decided to try the other cafe in the neighborhood - I originally went here the first day visiting Lenox but arrived and it was closed (sign hours are different than those online), so I went to the other one around the corner the other days of my stay. On my last day in Lenox I decided to try Shots, just to see. The ordering process wasn't clear- I didn't see anywhere that lattes are only one size, so I ordered a large with an extra shot, almond milk, and a pump of vanilla, paid $8, and sat to wait. The latte was prepared quickly, but I was surprised when I was handed a 12oz cup (medium size) and I asked if that was correct and was told they only come in one size, I figured either I didn't hear the person at the register say this (it was noisy) or just misunderstood. I started walking back to where I was staying and I took one sip and immediately knew something was off - I am allergic to dairy and this was NOT almond milk. There also didn't appear to be any vanilla added, and the coffee itself was not good (the beans may have been over-roasted or the espresso was pulled incorrectly, it was bitter). I gave the coffee to a coworker and prepared for my allergy symptoms to hit, which was unfortunate because I also had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of me. Stomach ache, blinding headache, nose started running all within 20 mins. Wouldn't recommend. read more

We stopped by Shots because Nudlz was closed across the street. My Harmony Latte with Chai and espresso was super yummy. My main reason for 4 stars vs. 5 was that the prices were all about 25% more than I would expect to pay for the type of food served here. I had a The Wild with fresh greens and goat cheese, berries, etc. Very good but not an $11 salad. My mom had had a turkey and brie panini with standard chips. Still pricey. No regrets for coming here. I don't eat most of the baked goods here, preferring a good gluten free cookie, so no comments there. Staff was friendly, which in itself was sweet. read more

What a find so happy we skipped the lines in Stockbridge. This tiny establishment has quite the selection for baked goods and delicious sandwiches. We also ordered cold brew coffee and matcha latte. The drinks are on the lackluster side, 1.5 -2 stars at most. Cold brew was, ok, lack of flavor. I eat out a lot but don't review much. My experience here was so weird I wanted to document it. It was one of those places where I felt like I really should enjoy it, but a bunch of little things added up into a bad experience. The good: 1) Menu sounded good 2) Pastries looked great 3) Spot is decently cute 4) The woman who was bussing was really on top of things, and sweet 5) Coffee was good, though clearly no one had checked the status of their little self-service coffee bar in a while--all the contains of cream and milk were out The bad: 1) My panini wasn't really a panini, and it was mushy and not crisp 2) They were out of chips, but no one told me. I ordered, paid, sat down, and 10 minutes later they brought my food. When I asked about chips, the guy told me "Oh, we're out of chips." No offer of substitution, no apology, nothing 3) My partner's hummus wrap was basically a ton of lettuce in a wrap, with a little plain hummus and thin tomato and cheese. Does that sound good to you? 4) Definitely overpriced The weird: 1) The place was uncomfortably hot inside. Maybe turn on some A/C if the day is hotter than expected? 2) Bees buzzing around everywhere, inside and out 3) Really, I have to get a key from the kitchen to use the bathroom? This is one of my absolute favorite places in Lenox. In a town busy with tourists and with some very expensive restaurants, Shots is a lovely place to relax and retreat. It's a sophisticated family coffee shop. The pastries are all baked by the owners, and are delectable. The breakfast burrito with chipotle salsa is a standout. Coffee and smoothies are delicious, and they do the best green tea latte I've had in the area. Lunch can include salad, toasted panini and wraps. For those complaining about price and service-- this is not a chain restaurant. It is a small, family run bakery and restaurant that uses superior ingredients, makes food by hand, and offers personal service. If you're not happy, go talk to the owner. It was incredibly hot, there were no tables with shade available so I sat there sweating in the direct sun until I gave up and left. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that Shots Café sold more than hot drinks and pastries. They have a number of paninis, sandwiches, and wraps on the menu, as well as some wine and beer. I ordered the Michelangelo Panini and my mother ordered the Cuban. Both were delicious. The food didn't take too long to come out and the staff always seemed to be working hard behind the counter. The fact that they deliver the food to your table is a nice touch I wasn't expecting. The lemonade, however, I didn't particularly enjoy. It wasn't terrible, just not as sweet as I'm used to--this is probably because it was freshly squeezed, so if that's the kind of drink you prefer, you'll most likely enjoy it. (Again, it wasn't bad, just not sweet.) Overall, it was a nice experience. The atmosphere was relaxing. There are artsy photographs of Cuba on sale hanging from the walls and some vintage cameras toward the back of the café. The staff is helpful and attentive. Portions sizes are perfect for lunch or a light dinner. If I could change one thing, however, I would lower the prices. I paid over 10 dollars for my panini and while it was very good, I do think it was a bit overpriced. read more

He ordered some kind of turkey sandwich on a roll and I the turkey, cranberry, Brie panini. The bisque was very flavorful and creamy. It was served with a few toasted baguette rounds and was quite filling. The sandwiches were good but very lacking in turkey. My husband opened his sandwich to show me one thin slice of turkey folded over! I checked out mine and the same thing. It was not actual turkey breast but processed deli meat.
