We stopped in for what I thought would be breakfast but what GF thought would be "coffee and a snack". It's an order-at-the-counter type of situation. We made it just in the nick of time for breakfast. They have a bunch of good shit including vegetarian shit that was nice to see. Tons of variety too: sandwiches, scrambles, bowls, buritos, omelets, sweet breakfast things. I settled on the haven scramble with scrambled eggs, butternut squash, asparagus, spinach, and goat cheese. This shit was served with bread, salad, and potatoes. This was SO good especially with a splash of hot sauce they offered on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bite of the asparagus was a nice texture addition. The portion was very plentiful, I was full for hours which is very unlike me. I was also intrigued by their "caramel inferno" coffee. I did see some what I would guess is cayenne pepper floating around in there but didn't taste it. It was a good idea but didn't pan out. The coffee just tasted like a very good caramel coffee and I was not complaining about that. GF ordered a vanilla latte and msuhroom toast which she seemed to enjoy quite a bit. We really liked their outdoor patio which allowed us to bring the dogs. It was a lovely meal in very enjoyable weather. read more

Wonderful cafe in Lenox! We stopped in for breakfast on our way through town and were very glad that we did. The menu is outstanding: a wide variety of freshly prepared, flavorful, nutritious dishes that are inclusive of all manner of dietary preferences. The service could not have been more lovely. The gentleman the counter was extremely helpful and welcoming. We got the breakfast burrito and the Southwest omelette, both of which were outstanding. Fresh, flavorful. Both came with home fries and salad, which were wonderful accompaniments. We left satisfied and fueled up for our journey. Would 100% stop in again next time we are in town! read more

We came to Haven everyday on our short trip to town. Frankly they are amazing in so many ways for a group style meal - casual and friendly, diverse menu with a lot of familiar yet unique options, excellent allergy awareness and great service all around. Though bustling, they are quick to move with attention and care and offer seating inside, outside and to go. My favorites list is almost too long: the gingerbread brownie - must try moisture and flavor. The pecan turtle was epic with delightful chocolate and crunch. The kale salad was so wonderfully balanced with the sweet potatoes and goat cheese. Each baked good feels packed with love and dense with nourishment. And to top it all - they have Oatly oatmilk, a favorite. Even better, they honor a classic brunch multi-drink setup with a delightful menu of classics like bloody Mary, espresso martini, and my favorite they fresh not too sweet elderberry blood orange spritz. It was a busy and energized morning at haven! You order and take a number and then seat yourself. We got a table first as it was busy. We had the blueberry pancakes which are made with corn meal and you can taste. They were a bit wet in the middle probably due to the berries not cooking all the batter but good all the rest. Haven is a casual quick service cafe where customers must go up to the register and place an order and a server brings your meal to your table. The ambiance of Haven is traditional New England style with light wood tables and dark wood floors brick walls, and brick exterior walls. Haven specializes in coffee, breakfast, desserts, pastries, and lunch sandwiches. The blueberry baked French toast came with with maple mascarpone and a nice blueberry sauce. 8/10 The salmon Benedict came with Smoked salmon, asparagus and poached eggs on a croissant with dill hollandaise. 9/10 The Haven Cobb Salad came with Grilled chicken, NF bacon, marinated tomatoes, avocado and Spanish Bleu cheese on mesclun greens with red wine vinaigrette. 8/10 The Haven Burger came with a grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free 6 oz Beef burger with Spanish Bleu cheese, onion confit and roasted mushrooms on a challah bun, served with house cut fries for $18. The burger was not ready to eat. The blue cheese came as a scoop and was not evenly distributed. I had to distribute the blue cheese with a knife and move the mushrooms on top of the burger and move the greens on top of the burger too. The burger was tasty and juicy and not overcooked or too dry. 9/10 The service was not applicable as this was not a full service restaurant. However, the lady at the register was friendly and the server bringing the food out was friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there were no complaints from anyone. The haven mocha latte was delicious! Haven's prices were a bit on the high side for what we got but everything was good and that is to be expected of a small town in New England. PHENOMENAL. I guess we saved the best meal for last on our little winter weekend getaway to Lenox, MA. I had the heavenly Haven Scramble (Butternut squash, asparagus, goat cheese) with house potatoes, the delicious gluten-free sourdough and a Golden Milk Latte with oat milk. Picked up a bakery box of gluten free carrot cake and apple tart for the road--both were great (would have loved a little more filling in the apple tart, but still fantastic!). As a gluten intolerant person who has been strictly gf for the past eight years, this was one of the best breakfasts I've had just about anywhere. Fast, friendly service, full on a Sunday morning--but the crowd moved quickly. Affordable prices, nice location, lots of light flooding in through the windows, even on a snowy, overcast day. We came here because of the reviews. My husband wanted the two egg meal and was told it was only for weekdays but gave it to my brother at a different register. I had avocado toast and it was just ok. My husband liked his food as did my brother and his wife. You order at the counter and then take a table that worked out for us. They don't come around for coffee refills but ask for a tip at checkout. I wouldn't come back but others in my party said they probably would. But all agree it's highly overrated. read more

Look for the line and all will be fine. Scouted this place on an early morning walk around Lenox. I've gone horribly wrong trusting crowds -- but wasn't disappointed this time. Cheese omelette was fluffy, French-style goodness. Typically the sides are an afterthought, but the dish came with a side salad that was well dressed and added some crunch and acidity to break the heaviness of the cheddar. Hibiscus iced tea was also welcome on a hot morning. Decaf drip also available, if you are so inclined. May work my way into some of the freshly baked pastries on another trip. Decor is simple, with a French-ish style bent. It's fine but not remarkable -- the food and service are the stars here. Had a lovely lunch here on a Friday afternoon around 12. It does get crowded here during peak times but food comes fast and the line does move quickly. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I went to the Berkshires and looked for a good breakfast spot and found a nice write up for this place. We ordered a breakfast bowl and one of the specials, baked blueberry French toast. We ordered a vanilla latte and a chai tea. The drinks came out quickly and a few minutes later the food came out. The breakfast bowl was a mix of arugula, goat cheese, eggs, quinoa and beans- I might be missing something in this magical healthier breakfast salad. It was light, savory, creamy and had a good mix of textures for a breakfast meal. The Blueberry French toast came out hot- more than just warm- and it was a perfect sweet complement to the breakfast bowl. It was almost a blueberry creamy bread pudding- it was very good. My wife's vanilla latte was exceptional. The only negative I have about the meal was my chai tea- it was unsweetened- honestly I did not even think to ask as I have never been given an unsweetened chai tea anywhere as they are usually sweetened. The server showed me that they had a table with sweeteners so I grabbed the honey but it was actually honey syrup- a very watered down version of honey. This was disappointing as I never could get the chai sweet enough and there was an underlying and aftertaste. I am not sure why such a quality place like Haven would not just have honey. Overall, the place was comfortable, bright and happening. It was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a very long time. We left satisfied but not overly full. I look forward to returning on our next trip and will try other dishes. I will get the vanilla latte and stay away from the chai tea, which is normally my favorite drink. The ambiance was very causal, with lots of families and larger groups and it felt a little like an old school diner. Despite a slower moving line, the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They have a number of baked goods to choose from before you even make it to the counter, in case you want something to go. An imaginative café with excellent food, delightful ambiance, and fantastic servers. Make sure you pick up a menu from the table as you enter which will give you time to work out what you want or you'll be holding up the line behind you. I went mid-morning, mid-week and there was a short line but it moved quickly. A seemingly full set of tables turned over quickly and I saw nobody waiting - but rumor has it that can be different at a weekend. We shared a toad-in-the-hole (a fresh farm egg in a hole in sour dough fried toast and a Croissant French Toast with delicious maple syrup. The French toast came with a generous portion of blueberries, and the toad was served with home fries. Did I mention the coffee. Just finished a perfect brunch-- literally perfect in every way. A light French omelette with spinach and goat cheese, topped with freshly snipped chives and cherry tomato halves barely dressed in salt & oregano. (Haven on the menu) The plate included a small hill of dressed greens, 5-6 roasted potato chunks, and two toasted pieces of baguette. There is nothing left, I am perfectly sated, and I am enjoying my rosemary maple latte while listening to a table of French tourists. Kill me now, life will never be better. read more

The herbed mayo has tarragon, it would be nice if they told you that as I don't like tarragon.
