I am so happy to have the Farmington River diner reinvented as Paige's Place! Generally the same interior but definitely spruced up a bit. The menu is small and simple but the food is really good. Very disappointing. I went here a year ago and was disappointed then too. So I thought, "Give them a second chance. " I did, and was again... disappointed. Friendly folk, but the lack of service is overwhelming. I ended up leaving after waiting over 30 minutes for my food which never arrived. I didn't leave without paying for my coffee though, which I had to get up and pour for myself. Worth passing and waiting until you get to Lee or Winsted, depending on your direction. read more

Wow, what an amazing place! This is as close to perfection as it gets. The owners obviously care very deeply about each and every customer. The menu is not overwhelming, but has enough variety that we can get a different experience with each visit. We've visited Paige's Place twice now, and each time has been great. It's a lovely dining room with a variety of seating options. A turntable adds music to the space, with customers invited to select the next record that'll be played. The servers are very pleasant and attentive. Of course the star of the show is the food! A thoughtfully assembled menu offers an assortment of breakfast and lunch options-- along with a daily Specials Board. We've enjoyed everything from scrambled eggs with homemade sausage, a breakfast burrito, avocado toast- all accompanied by excellent coffee diners can refill themselves. Paige's Place is a welcome addition to the local food scene! We had the BLT on sourdough from Hawthorne Valley Farm, and the grass fed burger. Simple but interesting menu offering all of the best of local Berkshire and NY farms. Both accompanied by greens in a light vinaigrette. Nice crowd, good coffee, Neil Young vinyl spinning when the chef wasn't serving or singing. Warm, sunny space. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch...only thing missing is beer. Soon? read more

My family and I stop here frequently as it is on our way to a family vacation spot. Upon arrival we noticed that the sign was different but didn't think anything of it. When we walked up to the door, we seen the sign said open. We walked in and noticed the inside was completely different and redesigned. We always stop to get breakfast sandwiches, drinks and always use a bathroom break. The inside was empty, but we didn't think anything of it and continued to proceed to the bathroom. As I walked up to the bathroom I knocked and didn't get a response, so I proceeded to open the door. I was approached by a male named Eric Danforth who happens to be the new owner of this establishment as of January 2024. He very rudely said we are closed if you don't see the flag on the pole then we are closed. I then informed him that the sign on the door said it was open and he proceeded to be very rude and demeaning and said to leave. Didn't even apologize for the misconception of the establishment being open or the startle that was given when I entered the bathroom and a VERY large man walking towards me (remind you after I knocked on the door and the door was unlocked). I will be letting my family know about this encounter and we unfortunately will not ever be stopping here again, which is a shame because we always looked forward to seeing the friendly faces and all the antiques that were once there. This establishment is far from warming and embracing and I didn't feel at home or as if the establishment was doing a good service to the community. It's a shame that this establishment isn't inviting anymore and what it has turned into within such a short amount of time. read more
