An absolute hidden gem in New Lebanon!…read more OMG, what an adorable little cafe! We were in New Lebanon and looking for somewhere to eat around 7:30 PM. Being a small town, there weren't many options still open, so we called to see if they were still serving dinner. The sweetest lady answered and told us their kitchen closed at 8:00 PM, but they would still be happy to take us. We're SO glad we called! The moment we walked in, we loved the place. It was beautifully decorated, with fresh wildflowers they had picked themselves, the tables were set so nicely, and everything had such a warm, cozy, welcoming feel. We were seated immediately and had ice water at the table right away. The service from beginning to end was seriously top-notch. Then the wonderful lady helping us, and I'm so sorry we didn't get her name, brought out freshly baked mini blueberry muffins. OH. MY. GOODNESS. They were DELICIOUS. That was the moment we looked at each other and knew dinner was going to be good. And it absolutely was! Our daughter ordered an omelette, my wife had the steak frites, and I ordered the chicken piccata. Every single dish was delicious. My wife also ordered a blueberry cosmo, which she loved! At this point we were completely stuffed, but there was no way we were leaving without trying dessert. We ordered the red velvet cake AND the chocolate croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Did we need both? Absolutely not. Did we finish them anyway? Pretty much! The food was just THAT good. We kept telling ourselves we were full and somehow kept taking another bite. What really made this place special, though, was the hospitality. We came in close to closing time, and instead of ever making us feel rushed or like an inconvenience, they welcomed us with kindness and gave us a wonderful dinner experience. That says a lot about a place. 5 stars all the way. If you're anywhere near New Lebanon, do yourself a favor and stop here. Places like this deserve all the support and business they can get. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. We will DEFINITELY be back, and next time we're coming for breakfast!

I picked up a matcha latte here, and my friend catered a delicious brunch from this spot!…read more I appreciated that the matcha didn't come pre-sweetened. It could've been whisked/blended a bit better (separated a bit), but I was happy with it overall. Regarding the catering, I was a big fan of the avocado toast (super fresh and creamy and nice flavor) and tasty muffins (I enjoyed the blueberry muffin.) It takes a bit to make drinks / food, so be sure to allocate some time--this isn't one of the factory-like cafes that churn out drinks / whip out ready-made food. The interior is cute and has assorted offerings of general foods/supplies that were fun to peruse.

The decor is cute with wooden tables, benches, and booths. Service was friendly and prompt, even though it was very busy with pretty much every table occupied. Prices were reasonable and I'd go back the next time I'm in the area.

They have a great variety of different foods and drinks that you can choose from. The boozy milkshakes sounded good! It was very busy when my son and I went and although it took a few minutes for someone to come over to us, the service was great and the food came out in a good amount of time. My son got a cheeseburger with truffle fries and I got fried green tomatoes with Burrata. We both really enjoyed the food and look forward to going back again!

Peter and Meredith also own this café, so returning here brought back some wonderful memories. One of the things I've always loved is their tuna melt--and I was thrilled to see that it's still available! When we walked in, Brandon, who was working behind the counter, greeted us warmly. He explained that brunch had ended at 2:30 p.m., but we could still order lunch. Brandon was incredibly courteous, personable, and helpful, and his friendly welcome immediately made us feel comfortable. My husband and I both ordered the tuna melt. And apparently, one wasn't enough for me because I ended up ordering a second tuna melt just for myself. Yes, I had two tuna melts for lunch--and I have absolutely no regrets. It was just as delicious as I remembered. We also purchased a package of coffee to take home and enjoy later. We arrived fairly late in the afternoon, close to closing time, so most of the tempting pastries had already sold out. Honestly, that just gives us another reason to come back soon--next time, we'll make sure to arrive earlier! I walked out happy, and completely satisfied.

They could NOT oblige. Huh? OMG... really. Financially, the cost avoidance on omitting toast and potatoes would have offset the labor for separating the yolk from the white. Also, they would have not disappointed a new customer. I sampled the French toast and it was good--nothing special. Ditto on the pancakes and bacon. I mean it was sort of like what our Moms and Dads would make--or if you are the mom or dad--what you would make; albeit the pancake was huge and fluffy. Ok--finally...did the waitstaff come by and ask how are food was...nope. I would have given this place 3 stars but between not checking in on us after leaving the food and not accepting a legitimate dietary-driven request, I am obliged to give it two stars.
