Awesome people! Awesome food and coffee. Drink flavors are so fun and really the only place you can find creative drinks like this in Great Barrington. Food is fantastic and the only place to get good crepes in Great Barrington. Super awesome for grab and go (especially in the early morning hours). love it here!!!

"You never see it coming, You never have a clue,…read moreBut there's trouble on the horizon, Bubbling like a roux" (Jimmy Buffet) Walking around and browsing the shops in Great Barrington on a beautiful Spring Day was a real enjoyable experience. We wanted to try a new place for lunch and ended up at Marjoram And Roux for a very nice lunch, It has a front showcasw with baked goods and prepared salads and a big roll of butcher paper on the wall where the day's specials are listed. We ordered at the front counter, grabbed a table in the modestly sized dining room and our two sandwiched came out very fast. My wife ordered a Prosciutto Baguette with arugula, red pepper tapenade, and Buffalo Mozzarella with an aged balsamic dressing for $16. I ordered a Pita Sadwich with White Bean Hummus, Beets, Olives, Pickled Onions, and Arugula for $12. Both sandwiches were served with a small salad of local greens. I loved my sandwich. The pillowy softness of the pita, the smooth velvety texture of the hummus, the sweetness of the beets, and the saltiness of the olives all combined for one fantastic sandwich. Portion size was generous, and since we knew we'd be stopping down the street for ice cream, we each took home half of our lunch. Pricing was reasonable at just around $30 after tax and before tip. There's a lot of lunch choices in Great Barrington and we were very happy with ours.

Very good coffee and hot drinks, teas, iced drinks. We split a spinach croissant into 4 and inhaled it in 2 seconds, it was good. The small menu of specials, written on white butcher, paperhanging on the subway tiled wall, looked fabulous. But the prize goes to the big, round Ginger Molasses cookie, studded with ginger and perfectly sweetened. A few cozy tables, nice natural lighting, relaxing background music and a friendly staff make for the perfect stop along your way.

The walls and decor make you feel both the history and life today. Everyone is so nice and you can tell they all work hard. It was very busy when I went, but also very organized. The market offers breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and muffins in the am. On the weekends they offer donuts too. For lunch they have pizza, grinders, and salads. They also sell local products like granola, coffee, and so much more! There is live music on Saturdays along with local artists selling prints. It's an all around beautiful place with a great vibe! Parking is hard in GB, which can be a downfall.

This is not a sponsored ad but it will sound like Roberto's is paying me under the table to sing their praises because this place is PHENOMENAL. Ambiance? Awesome. The space has a cool rustic feel and is great for some nice conversation. Now, the food: literally the best sandwich I have ever consumed. I tried the tomato & mozzarella one and literally haven't tried anything else on their lunch or dinner menu because it is the perfect sandwich. Their focaccia? As bread? Yes. I have also been blessed enough to have their breakfast sandwich and honestly words cannot even capture that experience so just order one yourself. The bevs? I am a beverage lover and have been severely disappointed and let down by neighboring local establishments when it comes to their matcha and iced coffee selection. But Robbie's? They've done it. An incredible matcha. A spicy iced chai. Incredible iced coffees. You couldn't ask for more. The service is also absolutely amazing. I came for breakfast right at 9AM on the first day they had earlier opening and it took them fifteen minutes to make my breakfast sandwich -- which isn't even a long wait when compared to other GB sandwich shops *cough cough Rubi's*. And they're were so kind and appreciative that I waited they gave me a little breakfast oat bar on the house (which was also incredible and warm and tasted like the concept of breakfast, if that makes sense). Also -- they serve Pastries by Hanna AKA the greatest donuts known to man. Like maybe go just for those on the weekends. Overall, they're amazing and will grow tired of seeing me.

Listen, 5 stars for this trip is going to sound so bad, but just wait... Ill get there…read more I find this place on Yelp, Hubby and I were in town on vacation for a weekend to get away before I was to have a pretty big operation - so we just upped & ran away one weekend. It coincidentally happened to be prime leaf peeping weekend (which isnt why we went away) but it was Sunday am, we wanted to eat somewhere that wasnt Dunks, so I found this place on Yelp and it looked super cute, so we drove 30*ish minutes to get here. We arrive & Im thinking Oh No, this isnt going to be great, we get in line and are 3rd in line. Well 15 mins has passed and no one has even acknowledged the people in front of us or anyone... Now to set the scene for anyone who hasnt been here, its like walking into a time warp home. Its not like a restaurant, this is literally a home. There is stuff EVERYWHERE, its like a yard sale, dust, books, no 2 tables, place settings, mugs, plates or anything is the same on all the tables, and the woman who was working god bless her had to be easily 75... She was running the food, cleaning & clearing the tables and this place was packed. We ended up talking to the family in front of us in line (who were regulars and in their 90s) and they said they come every weekend, so the woman who works there pulls them out of line and seats them ahead of the people in front of them (they were ok with that) but they had told us how you can buy anything in the place, if you liked your table setting you can buy it. There was so much old rustic decor, the place is friggin adorable, but you can buy it all! I just continued to walk around the place & just investigate all the things. Well 45 mins later we were finally seated and magically a few more staff people arrived to help her out, the whole experience from waiting to be seated, to ordering to actually getting the food and check was easily 2+ hours. The food I expected to then be just meh, but it wasnt IT WAS GOOD, Craig the owner chef was literally in the kitchen ALONE... and lives up stairs too, but you could see him hustling around and just handling all of it. Salad at breakfast at first to me seemed so off, but OMG was it good. All the food was just fresh and really good! This was one of those super memorable experiences, the hubby wouldnt let me buy anything and that was ok, but if we are ever back in the area we are definitely stopping in again! Dont mind the wait (which Im told isnt normally that long - I think it was all the leaf peeping tourists)
