    Beautiful patio. Great French food.

Superb pastries (hello, lemon merengue tart) and jam. My baguette sandwich (egg salad) was very tasty. The coffee drinks were also very good. The jam (raspberry) was great - tangy and full of fruit flavor - not overly sweet. Lovely patio facing Rockwell's famous scene.

We absolutely loved this little shop! What a great find and the service was impeccable. Such a perfect New England, quaint bakery shop! We loved the Warren floors, and the tasty treats were delicious!

Rather than go on a Caribbean trip limping to celebrate our wedding anniversary+my birthday, we traveled to the Berkshires instead. Plus it's close to home- and, I had a scheduled torn meniscus procedure 2 days later. While in town, we forwent the usual walking trails we enjoy during our trips and did more driving instead. With that came noticing The Lost Lamb on Main St in quaint Stockbridge for a quick bite. We've visited one other Patisserie in this town but it was time to try something new. The whip-smart, Cordon Bleu graduate who opened Lost Lamb has brought all of her Paris experience to this cute spot. Lost L. combines café, patisserie, bakery- and provides folks with everything from coffee, to pastries to buns to hot chocolate (tasted more like Swiss Miss) and a couple of meatless sandwiches and others with bacon in this fun-looking spot. There are also jams and small kitchen items for sale. The young gals are friendly and so was the owner- who runs her patisserie the way she wants to run it. I've never eaten a macaron in my life. And? To be quite honest, I rather have a real dessert. But I'm a passion fruit savage- so whenever I see it, I want it. Plus, this macaron, was slightly bigger than the typical ones. I went for it. And boy.....did it taste like Passion Fruit! And the chocolate middle, was a nice surprise! The mini apple tartlet I took to-go had sliced apples, almonds and frangipane nestled inside a golden+ slightly sweet shortbread-type crust. Hubs went for the Bacon+cheese croissant sandwich and a baguette to-go. The baguette wasn't the common one we get elsewhere- this had a lot of flour left over on the bread itself and my clothes. It was nice though. Price was decent and so was the service. And while Lost Lamb offers about 4 savory items- the bacon that's being cooked for the sandwiches, overtook the entire small size of this Patisserie and wished the place smelled more like her heavenly pastries she's showcasing. But listen, if you're in the mood for some indulgent pastries and packaged goods, Lost L. is worth checking out. That is, if you don't mind smelling like bacon all over you and your clothes.

The bread will go home with us. The pizza is for dinner. Each pizza would probably serve one adult man and are absolutely delicious. Cooking instructions are on the wrap - put them right on the rack. Crispy crust has plenty of air pockets to keep it light with a good chew. The BBQ onion is sweet. The roasted garlic had a bunch of garlic scattered all over. Lots of cheese on both. The last pizza, roasted red pepper, will be for another day. They had about five pre-made frozen pizza options when we visited. If you prefer, call ahead and they will build one fresh to your liking for you to pick up and bake at home. The interior shopping area is small. By the register is a pastry display case with the most enormous stuffed croissants, scones, cookies and other sweet treats. Behind that is a display of fresh breads. On a rack by the door are bagged bread goods. Freezer and refrigerator cases are along the wall. If I lived around here I would without a doubt be a regular customer and try all their offerings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cozy seating area by the front door to enjoy your purchases on site. Big parking lot.

Peach and Ginger also a Double Chocolate muffin. Delicious. The down side was the very unprofessional attitude of the server behind the counter. We wanted fresh coffee and she actually lied to us about that, instead the coffee urn was mostly empty and not fresh. As for the Housatonic location we ordered some fabulous Almond Croissants and Baguette and San Francisco Bread loaf. Whoa delicious. The woman serving us was outstanding and her very professional attitude was a relief compared to their Pittsfield experience we had. Thank you!

Listen, 5 stars for this trip is going to sound so bad, but just wait... Ill get there…read more I find this place on Yelp, Hubby and I were in town on vacation for a weekend to get away before I was to have a pretty big operation - so we just upped & ran away one weekend. It coincidentally happened to be prime leaf peeping weekend (which isnt why we went away) but it was Sunday am, we wanted to eat somewhere that wasnt Dunks, so I found this place on Yelp and it looked super cute, so we drove 30*ish minutes to get here. We arrive & Im thinking Oh No, this isnt going to be great, we get in line and are 3rd in line. Well 15 mins has passed and no one has even acknowledged the people in front of us or anyone... Now to set the scene for anyone who hasnt been here, its like walking into a time warp home. Its not like a restaurant, this is literally a home. There is stuff EVERYWHERE, its like a yard sale, dust, books, no 2 tables, place settings, mugs, plates or anything is the same on all the tables, and the woman who was working god bless her had to be easily 75... She was running the food, cleaning & clearing the tables and this place was packed. We ended up talking to the family in front of us in line (who were regulars and in their 90s) and they said they come every weekend, so the woman who works there pulls them out of line and seats them ahead of the people in front of them (they were ok with that) but they had told us how you can buy anything in the place, if you liked your table setting you can buy it. There was so much old rustic decor, the place is friggin adorable, but you can buy it all! I just continued to walk around the place & just investigate all the things. Well 45 mins later we were finally seated and magically a few more staff people arrived to help her out, the whole experience from waiting to be seated, to ordering to actually getting the food and check was easily 2+ hours. The food I expected to then be just meh, but it wasnt IT WAS GOOD, Craig the owner chef was literally in the kitchen ALONE... and lives up stairs too, but you could see him hustling around and just handling all of it. Salad at breakfast at first to me seemed so off, but OMG was it good. All the food was just fresh and really good! This was one of those super memorable experiences, the hubby wouldnt let me buy anything and that was ok, but if we are ever back in the area we are definitely stopping in again! Dont mind the wait (which Im told isnt normally that long - I think it was all the leaf peeping tourists)

I was very impressed by the variety of meat and cheese. I got myself some smoked salmon pinwheels which were delicious. Our cashier (Julio, I believe) was kind and helpful. He even recommended a cheaper corkscrew than the one we were thinking about since we just needed a single-use corkscrew. He also gave us plastic forks and napkins since we didn't have any in our hotel room nearby. Thank you, Julio and Nejaime's! We'll be back again soon.

It's on the small side considering where the liquor market is headed with Bevmo, Wegmanns and Total Wine and Spirits offering a football field of choices. They key to this shop is that everything is well organized and the selection is good for a shop of it's size. I met the owner who is very knowledgable in wine and what he has to offer. I believe he is French, which adds a bit of authenticity to browsing the Boudreaux section. I felt like I could trust his recommendations and he was honest and did not pull any punches. He gave me a few informed choices and let me make up my mind vs. pushing one particular bottle on me, which I like. I've been at some stores where the owner is more concerned about clearing out a certain brand or a new product, so I can tell the picks they offer are based on that. However, here, I felt that the owner was doing his best to give me several great recommendations so I would return. And I will. After I got done, another (local) customer asked the owner to pick a wine that goes with mushroom soup, so that is how specific the knowledge is here! The cheese case here is unreal ... there are plenty of great cheeses to choose from and I felt the prices were on par or much better than Guido's or Wholefoods. Don't sleep on the fresh baked breads. I bought what may have been the best fresh sourdough baguette I ever tasted here. It tasted like fresh charred pizza crust. I smacked on it all day. I buzzed the beer selection which looked like it had a lot of very unique picks and they even had cigarettes behind the counter. I did not see cigars but I'm sure they had them somewhere. The store is classy looking ... exactly what you'd expect to find in a town like Stockbridge. I recommend stopping by if you are in town. Each time I visit The Red Lion, I find a new great place like this!
