The food is good but the service is not. The check was dropped to us as soon as we got our food. Nobody came to see how our food was ok or if we needed refills. We had to stop another server for coffee and no I guess I did not want more water or a box for leftovers. read more

I like to try different diners, not going to the same one every time. I found Hatboro Dish on Yelp. I am glad I did! My father-in-law loves a particular diner up the road and I don't. I am always trying to find a different diner to take him to. I think I have found one that he and my mother-in-law might visit frequently! The variety for breakfast is very good. They have the regular items that most diners have for breakfast but they also have a variety of breakfast sandwiches and skillet dishes. I usually look to see if a business is up to par by seeing if they have the "BIG 3". The Trifecta as I like to call it.....waffles, french toast, pancakes. They've got it here at Hatboro Dish! I'm a happy girl! My in-laws loved the bacon and their potatoes and they said to each other that they would come back again! I've been twice and love coming here and will definitely be back maybe to try lunch! They have 6 different types of grilled cheese sandwiches and wraps and an interesting burger selection! read more

Since relatively new to this area, I thought today is a good day to try this local diner. It is conveniently located center of Hatboro. Surprisingly it was full on Friday morning and even though they were busy the service was good. Thisplace have decent menu for breakfast and lunch with variable options. I ordered egg fiorentino and the order came quickly. It was delicious..!! The quantity was enough for the price. will visit again and try other dishes too.. read more

We always seem to be on a constant search for places to add to have breakfast. This is now one of our regular stops. Food is done well, one thing I like is that their cups are bigger than normal. Less begging for a refill! read more

Had the smokehouse skillet, its served in a small cast iron pot. The food was great and even had little chunks of carmelized garlic and onions ( which I love), everything went well together and was very filling cant wait for our next visit! read more

Formerly Lochel's Family Restaurant, the Hatboro Dish is still an excellent dining experience. They serve breakfast and lunch most days only serving dinner on Saturdays. My family and I went there for lunch on a Thursday. The staff was friendly and attentive. They took the time to interact with my three-year-old twins. The food arrived quickly and it was great. We had an omelet, french toast and chicken wrap. We devoured everything! I highly recommend the Hatboro Dish. read more

Just moved into the area, and already have a favorite breakfast place. The corn beef hash is delicious. It's made to order too. Will definitely be back. read more

We are new to Hatboro and noticed all the good things Hatboro dish was involved in during the pandemic shutdown. Once things opened up we decided to try it for breakfast and it was great. The staff were personable and attentive. The food was delicious and the price was good. We definitely look forward to making this a regular stop. read more

My husband and I are regulars at the Dish for breakfast. I love eggs for breakfast and regardless of how I order them - always done perfectly. My husband orders many different breakfast specials and has really loved most of them. Fast service, friendly people and great prices. We had a graduation party and used the Dish to cater. We could have paid double elsewhere and received less quality and quantity. The way they delivered and set everything up was fantastic. I would strongly recommend them for your next event. read more

Pretty tasty breakfast entrees all around - however, our service was slow and curt for a relatively normal late-morning rush on a Monday. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Its a good place but not my favorite place hehe i love breakfast but maybe i just ordered the wrong food. The philly cheese steak omelette has too much water in it.... dont know why but it had too much water that it made water omelette... i did like their Pancake doe... on point! read more

I almost hesitated to write review because it's my go to breakfast place place. We took two gears to find this gem and love the ease of getting table. Kind of want it a secret. But with food this good, I can't deny anyone like us in bucks /Montco area looking for an affordable tasty breakfast or lunch. It's spacious , clean with the most attentive staff. Nice variety . Everything tastes like it's homemade and it's fresh. Portion size is large. The ma and pa breakfast potatoes are OMG. Coffee is good. Nice skillets and some different breakfast options. Good lunch sandwiches hot and cold, wraps, club, grilled cheese and some lunch entrees like meatloaf, hot turkey, chicken fingers, shrimp . Good kids breakfast and lunch menu! They also are good with accommodating some special food needs with this chemo I am doing right now. Short hours. 2pm M-Sat and 3pm Sundays. Parking with meter out front (free on Sunday) or lot around back. Don't hesitate to eat here! read more

I was there the other day! Great service by the server! I believe her name was grace or soemthing like that! Cool hair too!

Food is already great. Never have to wait that long to sit down even on their peak times. Servers are always friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend eating breakfast here! read more

I have eaten here before a couple of times and it was great!! Today not so much, it was really busy.. we waited a while for our waitress.. we got our food.. I ordered a side of chicken sausage..it did not look like chicken sausage, as it looked like they put them in the microwave, and they shriveled up and were rubbery... Was very dissapointed as I did not send it back and paid $4.00 for them... read more

Kind of just an ordinary, low quality diner. I was hoping this would be a nice local find in the area. I know that avocado toast isn't everyone's specialty, but I was in the mood for it so I ordered. Got a few pieces of untoasted rye bread, a few thin slices of avocado (not nearly enough to cover the bread), and fried egg on top. 2 stars instead of 1 because the fruit cup I ordered on the side was fresh lol. read more

The food was pretty tasty, service was fast and friendly, and I felt like they had a lot of good options that I wanted to try. If you're eating here definitely go check out the bakery next door after. read more

Best breakfast in the area. I always come here and I'm always satisfied. Great good, nice staff. Overall, the place is amazing.

This place! Oh man, I'm hungry just thinking about their food. The inside isn't anything special but when they brought the plate out to me, YUM! Thick, and I mean thick slabs of bacon! The plate was filled with bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes! It wasn't expensive too! You definitely should check them out! read more

This is the last time I will be going to this place. I been here maybe 8 times and 5 out of the 8 times the staff have been miserable or rude. Half the time my food order takes over 40 mins to make and they end up getting it wrong. I haven't been there in a few weeks but today I waited 50 mins for my food and when I got there the hostess was the most rudest person that I ever had encounter with. End up picking up my food waited 35 mins when I called in advance and end up making my whole order wrong. read more

Good breakfast that hit the spot around noon one day. My wife and I went under the recommendation of her dad. Nothing fancy with the decor, but the service was good and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We both had the signature dish, the Hatboro Dish. Two eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and the French toast (recommended by the waitress). Both of our eggs were cooked as we ordered them, and the French toast exceeded my expectations. One thick piece of toast, covered with cinnamon and sugar. Very good. I only wish I could have substituted out the bacon for a second piece of sausage, though there was nothing wrong with the bacon. Total bill was around $23 with one drink each. I would go back. read more

Hatboro Dish has taken over the former Lochel's Restaurant located in the center of Hatboro along York Rd. The restaurant has been redone and the dining room has been spruced up and modernized and looks very nice albeit a bit stark. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and the food is average to good. They changed the menu and pricing from the former Lochel's, and it is a little more expensive than the former restaurant which does not seem justified. The waitresses and their service is good. Average diner fare. read more

Hash potatoes are to die for. Fried chicken is also good -- very crispy yet juicy on the inside. The wait staff is friendly but a little out of it. Ours bought us an order of bacon when we very specifically asked for sausage. You have to pay at the front, but no one told us that so we wasted a good five minutes waiting for the waitress to come take our check. Overall, great atmosphere and pretty decent food. I will go back again. read more

Love this place! My fiancé and I go here at least once a week. When we first moved into this area we would go here about 3 times a week. Their grits are pretty good for suburb grits! Grits wasn't a choice for sides when we first started going here. Since they changed the menu, it is a choice now! I have yet to try their lunch menu. I have taken my brother and my fiancé's brother there and they liked it as well. Anyone dropping by this are should definitely try it! read more

Good breakfast place. Dishes are ho hum, but consistent. Grits are usually watery. Service is good if you ask for Bonny. Don't ask for well done potatoes, you will be sure that the oil in the fryer hasn't been changed in quite awhile. read more

Local breakfast restaurant, but lunch specials also available. Excellent meals. Tasty, reasonably priced and large portions. Friendly, clean, comfortable setting, Service unusually good and fast. Highly recommend this hidden gem in downtown Hatboro! read more

I went into this restaurant on a weekday for lunch, and was disappointed to say the least. The restaurant looked as though it was recently redone, and it was cozy. My waitress was friendly, however you could hear and see her talking loudly with the other staff in the kitchen. So much for a quiet lunch... The food left much to be desired. I ordered a chicken wrap with broccoli rabe. Upon picking it up, a brownish liquid that tasted like dish water oozed from the bottom of the wrap. The chicken was overcooked and bland. The broccoli rabe was nothing but chewy and inedible stems. Unfortunately, my meal fell way short, and I don't plan on returning any time soon. read more

This place is an absolute gem. The restaurant is SO cute inside and the food is on point. Eggs and potatoes are fresh and cooked perfectly, and the chicken sausage is really really good. Our waitress was wonderful too. If we lived closer we would be regulars here. We will definitely be returning anytime we are in Hatboro. read more

I've tried several different breakfast skillets, and my favorite is the Southern Country Skillet. If you like provolone cheese, try it! The various servers that I've had are friendly and happy to serve. I'm not sure what else to say about Hatboro Dish other than "Try it! You'll like it!" read more

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast .. friendly atmosphere, fast service and the food tasted great !!

Today was the worst and last time here. Part of my (over easy) eggs were over cooked, the middle egg yokes were cold. Yack!! Before I even put my fork down, the girl from the register rushed over to get my empty plate. I thought she was going to fight me for it. The place was not busy, there were plenty available tables. Good bye Hatboro Dish. I did have positive comments in the past, but no more. read more
