If you are planning on eating here I would strongly suggest placing reservations. We did not have…read morereservations but were able to get on the list and waited about 30-40 minutes. There isn't much for seating while you are waiting but you can go grab a drink at the bar while you wait. We dined in during their Jingle Bar and the atmosphere was very festive for the Holiday Season. We would strongly suggest going during then if you are in town during the event just to experience the atmosphere. Our food was good and every bite was delicious. Our only complaint was we were seated relatively close to the live singer (they were very good) so we couldn't have a conversation without yelling, but we were also sitting in the "bar" side of the restaurant so I don't think it would have mattered.

I have been meaning to write a review for this place for quite some time... here is the thing, they…read morecan be very hit or miss. We went this past Monday and were pleasantly surprised with the food! The sausage and pepper flatbread is one of the better things I have ever had there. We have, in the past, had food that was not good .... we keep coming back because we love the location on the lake and for the most part the service is usually good! If the food was more consistent, I could see us coming here more regularly! It just so fun in the summer with the patio... just need consistency with the cost of the meal. This past visit was a treat though.

Holy moly the amount of food you get there is nuts. I was not prepared for that. Won't need to eat…read moredinner tonight! I had the bananas fosters French toast. Yum!

Thankfully we arrived right in front of a rush and only waited 5 minutes before being escorted upstairs to a fairly isolated table. The ambience is old-school-diner and the service is back-to-basics. No overwhelming friendliness or chatty interchanges. They all just keep moving, working and trying to keep up. It's not a big restaurant, even with the upstairs seating -- maybe 25-30 patrons per level and I counted at least 9 employees. That's a high ratio. That said, service was slow. We waited longer than I would have expected to have our order taken (10+ minutes), but that's really my only gripe. It's not enough to lose a star though -- and like I said, it's all worth the wait. The food is incredible. That's why you are here. The serving sizes are generous. The food comes out hot. And the flavors are excellent. I enjoyed a corned beef and hash -- substituting the country potatoes for crispy hashbrowns, topped with scrambled eggs and my date enjoyed a kitchen sink omelette with hashbrowns. We both LOVED our choices and I'll just highlight -- the corned beef is slow cooked (8 hours) and chunky. It's incredible. We talked about how we needed to bring our family and friends to the little gem of a diner.

The atmosphere at Surfside Bar & Grill was fine, but my breakfast experience fell short and felt…read morepoorly handled. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and the eggs were overcooked, which unfortunately ruined the dish. When I mentioned it, the server agreed that it wasn't good, but the response came across as somewhat flippant rather than solution‑oriented. While I appreciate honesty, a more engaged approach--such as quality‑checking the dish before it left the kitchen or offering a quick replacement when the issue was identified early--would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction made the situation feel awkward and left me uninterested in ordering anything else. Once a dish like Eggs Benedict is off, and the follow‑up feels dismissive, it tends to derail the entire experience. I'm sharing this as constructive feedback, as the restaurant seems to have potential, but stronger attention to quality control and guest recovery would greatly improve the overall experience.

beware of the curious bees!!…read more NOMd: - house salad. w/ balsamic vinaigrette. w/ salmon. basic fresh salad for only $7 and the salmon is actually really good and well seasoned. didnt even need to drench it in lemon like i usually do. - bruschetta. - pepperoni cheese bread. both of these apps tasted like italian dunkers from middle school. - pretzel burger my friend got this and he liked it. service, etc.: this was over the summer and we sat on the patio. everytime i come here i wanna sit on the patio but regret it bc the bees are literally out to get me (my food). i have a fear of flying insects so it's like the worst exposure therapy everytime i come here lol.
