While staying at the Hotel Hershey for my 40th birthday celebration, my sisters and I left another restaurant that wasn't so great in search of dessert somewhere else. After looking at the dessert menu for Harvest, we headed straight over but when we arrived they told us it would be about a half hour wait. We asked if it would be possible to get dessert "to-go" back to our room and even though this is obviously something they don't normally do, they brought us out some menus and placed an order with the chef for us! They put all of our little cakes and ice creams in to-go containers and had us on our way in no time. Our room wasn't too far but it was a little walk, yet our ice cream wasn't even a bit melted by the time we got back! I'm telling you, this whole Hershey place is magical. They made me feel like an absolute princess for my birthday everywhere I went and Harvest was one more top notch guest experience. The desserts were incredible, by the way. Try the apple streusel with ice cream! read more

Disappointed. All the ambiance and decor of a cheap diner. The food was nothing special, especially for the price: the five-onion soup was watery and lacked umami, the burger was just a burger, and the vegetarian pasta dish was tasty but did not have all of the stated ingredients that it listed. The service was merely okay. read more

Just nope. While the portions were large, they weren't good. Ordered the she crab soup and got about 4 flecks of crabmeat. I asked for wings to be extra crispy in the chocolate sauce. They came out in the buffalo sauce and were not crispy. The ribs were super fatty! I ordered the honey carrots and they were gross! They looked like they pulled them straight from the ground without trimming or cleaning them. read more

We ate dinner on our way to a concert the other night. The food was okay. The service was amazing. The ambience was great. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable, and went out of his way to answer questions we had. The hosts were also great. The decor was beautiful and it felt like you were on vacation eating there. The food however was just okay. We ordered the Bavarian Pretzel for an appetizer and it was huge. The cheeses that came with it were yummy and we ended up taking a bunch back to our hotel w/ us. My husband ordered the ribs and did like his dinner quite a bit. I ordered a pasta dish that was incredibly bland. It felt like buttered pasta w/ some veggies sprinkled throughout. Without the yummy tomatoes it would have had very little taste if any. I think we'd try something else if we made it to Hershey again. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant. We went for Christmas dinner and had a fantastic experience. I have been twice for dinner and both times the food and service have been exceptional. We didn't order anything fancy this last time as we went late afternoon, but honestly these were some of the most delicious wings that I've had in the entire area. Highly recommend this place for a date or for a nice family meal. read more

With private rooms available, my wife & I were sat in the main dining room, 8 feet away from a party of 16, that were LOUD enough to hear from 40 feet away ... outside of the dining room. I know this because when I used the restroom, I could still hear them SCREAMING over each other to be heard. The food was well above average, however insulted by the manager because he sat us in the section of the one (1) server who was tasked with the responsibility of waiting on the aforementioned party of 16. Why? I don't know. There were 4 other servers that had fewer than 8 customers each. Nevertheless, we were seated with the server who was too busy to: * Remember to bring us our drinks first before being served our appetizers * We finished our appetizers before we had ANYTHING to drink. Not even tap water. * Bring rolls & butter before being reminded. We watched a couple 3tables away getting seem less service from a different server that had 4 other customers in total. They were served beverages & rolls with butter before their food arrived. * Ask if we'd like more beverages when our meal arrived, was being consumed, or after consumption. We each had ONE beverage & never received the other beverages we asked & waited for. Our service wasn't poor, just poorly timed & honestly ... it wasn't his fault because THE MANAGER SHOULD HAVE NEVER SAT US IN HIS SECTION WHEN THE SERVER ALREADY HAD A PARTY OF 16! The waiter apologized to us for inferior service as we received it, no less than 4 times. Additionally ... no one ever asked this group of jabroni's to keep it down. I couldn't pay my $130 check fast enough & get to my car with the intention of never coming back here again. Strike 3 Hershey read more

Nice ambiance, good food, and attentive service. My wife and I enjoyed a relaxed, late night dinner at Harvest last night. Handcrafted cocktails were very good. Cream of crab soup was delicious as were my Atlantic salmon and maple-glazed carrots. The restaurant has a really pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely go back. read more

The food was pretty good here and our waitress was awesome! Overall a decent spot for a nice dinner in the area. The highlight was an appetizer - the Bolivian pretzel board, which was fun to eat and share. By the end of dinner, we were beyond full. read more

Great service and delicious food. I appreciated the fact that the kids burger was only $6. My husband enjoyed the chicken wings appetizer and ribs dinner. I had the strawberry salad with chicken. My only complaint was it had goat cheese dressing, instead of actual pieces of goat cheese. However, it was very good. Can't wait to return! read more

Every time we go to Harvest I seem to feel the need to lower the score I gave them on my last visit. They ought to be a good restaurant. They have a nice location. They are part of a nice hotel. And the food is always good. But the service, oh the service. Arrive at 2:15 for lunch. There are a number of less desirable tables available and one by the window which needs bussing. The host says he can get it cleared... That takes the better part of 15 minutes. I say to my wife, "this is going to be a bad lunch". Seated around 2:30. Server comes by and asks "have we dined here". "Yes. And can I get a clean glass? " noting dirt. She allows as it is just a scuff. Grabs one off another table and notes "this one has a water spot so you probably wouldn't want it either". Should have left but was hungry. 2 minutes later she comes back to see if we are ready to order. I ask for a couple minutes. 20 minutes later she finally comes back to take our order. And at 3:15, an hour after we arrived, our sandwiches arrive. I could go on and even mention the typical noisy kids but I won't. Should have gone on my initial hunch that it wasn't going to be a good lunch. read more

Was in town for a meeting and this is the spot that we chose to eat dinner. I truly didn't know what to expect, but I was pleased that for the most part this restaurant uses all local produce/protein for their meals. I've always liked to support the local farmers no matter what city I may find myself in. What a treat this place was. Located behind the Hershey Hotel, you walk in and it is very rustic, and warm. The dining room was very open, and though there were several diners, it was not overly loud. I chose not to have an appetizer, but I did get to choose the bottle of wine. We ended up with Charles Krug, Napa Valley, California. A very good Cabernet. I would say that they also had a decent wine list here with several types to choose from. For dinner I chose the Grilled Hanger Steak. They were not skimpy on the portion and it was cooked perfectly - very tender and juicy. The steak came with Scallion and Bacon mashed potatoes and roasted mushrooms. I'm not normally a huge fan of mashed potatoes with my meal - mostly because to me mashed potatoes are nothing special. The onion/bacon flavor though gave these potatoes a totally different twist and it complimented the steak very well. To top everything off was a birch beer sauce which also enhanced not only the steak, but also the roasted mushrooms. Easily one of the better meals I've had and again a place I would go to again to sample some of the other items on the menu. read more

Ehhh... For being a Hershey dining area, I expected soooo much better, esp for the price you pay! The service was great though! She refilled our waters promptly, checked in on us to see if things were well. Hotel Hershey Signature coffee - OMG! To die for. So good. Doesn't need any cream or sugar added to it. It was perfect! Soups (all three) - was not really worth it. The she crab soup tasted too lemony or sour or something along those lines (I hope it didn't go bad!) The chicken one didn't really have anything in it. I didn't really like the pumpkin pear, but my sister did. Calamari - it was decent. Had a nice crisp to it and had the tenticles too! Lol...it's my favorite part of calamari! Parm garlic fries - pretty good, but nothing that someone else can't make. Duck confit flatbread - skip this!! the flatbread was sooo soggy. yuck! Wings w/chocolate bbq sauce - it was ok. not a huge fan of bbq in general, but wanted to give it a try bc it said chocolate. Pork belly sliders - only ordered this bc of pork belly we ordered at another spot. It was ok, but maybe bc I'm comparing it to the other spot. Salmon Burger - there was barely any seasoning on the thing! It was also very very dry. Dessert shooters - Had the Pb, salted caramel, and smores. I liked the salted caramel one the best. The others were ok. Would I be back?? Probably not. Some things were great, but the majority of it was Meh! read more

Great place for lunch. Reasonably priced sandwich options and fantastic staff. Our waitress was very attentive but not overbearing and made helpful recommendations. She also took a great "couples photo" for my girlfriend and I. As for the food, Harvest markets themselves as using fresh, local ingredients.. not sure I could tell, but I did like that they left a pitcher of filtered water at our table while we ate (one of my major restaurant pet peeves is waiting for water refills). Decent dessert selection, with dessert "shooters" so you don't have to feel guilty eating dessert.. you are in Hershey after all. Which reminds me, I also liked that Harvest keeps a candy jar just outside of the restaurant entrance :). Overall, a nice dining experience. You can schedule a free Segway scooter tour around the Hershey Hotel compound if you call a day in advance. Enjoy that and the free outdoor recreation center (tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket, even shuffleboard) after lunch at Harvest. read more

Visited for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There were six people in our party, so we went ahead and made reservations through opentable.com. Having made one prior visit to The Hotel Hershey, I was not aware that the restaurant is actually located out on the side of the main building, in it's own cozy building. Upon our arrival the hostess took our coats and we were seated quickly. The dining room is warm, with several smaller rooms off of the main dining room. Lots of dark wood to compliment the fall-like colors. There are several large windows that help give the room a large airy feel. After our drinks were brought out, our waiter (Ian) brought out a basket of bread. We ordered two appetizers to start, the potato and cheese pirogues and the pulled pork quesadilla. They were both good, but I felt that the pirogues were the better of the two. They were pan fried and served with caramelized onions and I believe creme fraiche. For the main course, I got the Southwestern Turkey Burger. It was easily the best turkey burger I've ever had. If I could have only changed one thing, I would have changed the bun. I think a potato bun would have sealed the deal. Fries were decent. Other diners at the table had the pork barbecue, salmon burger, Pittsburgh burger and the crab cake sandwich. All the feedback was favorable for their lunches. For dessert, the waiter brought out a little flight of their mini-desserts, among them: a s'mores shooter, an apple crisp shooter, a white chocolate, pear and cranberry parfait, and a maple walnut chocolate shooter. They were two dollars each and made for a quick and tasty way to sample a variety of flavors. We passed them around our tables so that we all could sample them. The service, as others have noted, was top-notch. From the greeting we received at the door from the hostess to the end of the meal, it was the kind of service you wish you could get everywhere. Our server was knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions. The prices are a bit on the high-end, but the locally-sourced food and the service makes it worthwhile. read more

Checked in on 11/1 for lunch. Ambience is good, but food was a big letdown. I expected more, given the Hershey name and the Hotel is so beautiful! I had a delicious meal at Harvest this summer. I ordered the salmon and it was served with rice, mango salsa, and seasonal vegetables. Harvest is the best place to eat in Hershey, hands down. I love the seasonal menu changes. Very classy stylish décor. I've dined twice and both times had the pleasure of having Paige as our server. Wow! What a great, impromptu stop this turned out to be. Situated behind the majestic Hotel Hershey (yes, I know it sounds a little funny, but the Hershey Family really threw it down in 1933 at this palatial hotel.) This restaurant feels more like an upscale country club, but with really excellent food. We had Sunday brunch there. Start with the Bloody Mary, they're delish. I had Crab Cake Benedict which was just as rich and sumptuous as it sounds. The staff was first rate and the panoramic views splendid. read more

Eh... a $400 night hotel should have amazing 5 star brunch spots, but naa. Harvest was high hopes for our first "Chocolate" drink in Hershey we were craving a chocolate martini or something similar to be excited about, basically parking a mile away to walk all the way through the hotel to get here we were ready for it. First walked to the bar and waited for few minutes with no bartender, then had to wait 10 minutes to be seated in a nearly dead restaurant, beautiful views however. We ordered our drinks and told her I was gluten-free and she told me she would check on anything I ordered. My drink an honey maple cider which had Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, Local Maple Syrup, Local Apple Cider was excellent. However the ladies I was with had two different chocolate martinis and tasted like crap, pure alcohol no chocolate flavor and just bland for $12, you expect Hershey Hotel to have these martinis down, but nope only ordered one then we were like let's go somewhere else. However we did order a cheese plate, and pork roast type thing and the food was EXCELLENT and tasted very good. The presentation was also beautiful, bartender however sucked. read more

We went to Harvest on a Sunday afternoon because my mom was hoping to get some fresh fish. However, we caught them in the brunch period. The server was accommodating and substituted the red meat for the chicken in the eggs benedict. "Surf & Turf" Benedict with grilled chicken substituted for the steak - English muffin was "just okay," the crab hollandaise sauce was good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. It came with roasted potatoes which were bland and a little soft. Overall 2.5/5 Chickpea and Spinach Veggie Burger - I appreciated the heavy ratio of chickpeas to the rest of ingredients but the texture was too soft and uneven. Most importantly, though, it was under-spiced and needed cheese. It was topped with several large, roasted tomatoes and perfectly-caramelized onions. The "bun" was two pieces of toasted, buttered whole grain bread which were a tad too hard. The side of fries was fine; not as crispy as I'd like. Overall 3/5 The restaurant itself has a lot of light. It looks out onto the mini-golf course. The servers were friendly. It's a nice place to eat but it's pricey for what you get. read more

I have eaten here twice and was happy with both my visits. The She Crab soup is usually a hit. This time I got the lobster cobb salad which was very filling for me. I do wish the menu had more options, but the ingredients are pretty fresh and the service is friendly. read more

We were spending most of the day around the Hotel Hershey so stopping in for lunch here at Harvest was an easy choice. My wife liked that they had many options that could be made vegan or vegetarian and otherwise the menu really offered plenty for anyone. She got a veggie pasta, which looked delicious and she said it tasted great. I got the bratwurst which was large, filling and delicious as well. Service was good all around. We were seated quickly, taken care of and checked on many times. The restaurant was about a quarter full and everyone seemed to be enjoying their lunches as well. If you're staying at the Hotel Hershey this is definitely a great choice to stop in for lunch and even if you're just at the park this might be a easy choice to swing by. read more

Harvest is amazing. I've been to several restaurants owned by hershey but this is my new favorite. My family loves Harvest. They have the best French Onion soup around, their roasted chicken dish is amazing as well. We also love the desserts and service is also wonderful. Harvest is a detached restaurant located at the Hotel Hershey, not to be confused with The Harvest off Progress Avenue. This restaurant boasts fresh menu options with as many locally obtained ingredients as they can get their hands on. Subject to that, they have varying menu that shifts with the climate so to speak. With so much thought put into seasonal items it's no wonder the food tastes so good. Personally, so long as it's delicious I don't care if the ingredients are fresh so when I dine here it's just a perk. But if you're into that kind of thing this is a good place to practice. With all that focus on the menu, I feel it is also important to point out some of the features that Harvest doesn't put forth so veraciously. For one thing, the building is gorgeous. Most notably, the ceiling in the dining area is composed of a myriad of colorful stained-glass. It's a very well put together establishment that also seems to have lavish outdoor accommodations as well. Naturally, the view is just a memorable. I suspect a lot of receptions are held here. I really enjoyed my 3 course meal during restaurant week. In all honesty however, I sampled 6 courses making my experience double in satisfaction. With so many positives circling about, it's hard to think of any downsides. Perhaps the price is a bit steeper than others, what with the inflation due to all the natural, locally "harvested" ingredients, but I can't say for certain because I went when the prices were fixed. read more

Had lunch here today with a friend. Pleasant staff, nice view of golf course through the big windows in the dining area. We both had the Garden Pappadelle, pasta with veggies. My friend had the corn soup. The pasta was lukewarm with a little zucchini and onion. I did not see any of the corn or asparagus indicated on the menu. The entire dish seemed like warmed up leftovers especially with some veggies MIA. My friend's soup was a broth with a couple bits of corn, garnished with cilantro which she does not like so she spent some time picking that out. The menu does not provide any description of the soup or it's content. We both had dessert. She had the chocolate creme pie which she said was excellent. I had the campfire brownie: brownie with marshmallow, graham crumbles and chocolate sauce served with a small scoop of ice cream. It was good. While it was a pleasant enough lunch enjoyed amidst beautiful scenery, for the price point, I don't feel like I would come back again. read more

Wooo this is a super overdue review. I came here for my anniversary whilst staying at the Hotel Hershey. This is what we had: Sangria flora Pomegranate margarita Chicken wings: chocolate BBQ sauce with scallion Housemade papardelle pasta with chicken pan seared jurgielewicz & son's farm duck breast dessert shooter trio: death by chocolate, s'mores, lemon meringue pie My sangria was good, but my boyfriend's margarita wasn't so great. To be fair I don't really like margarita-- and he was pretty pleased about it so it's up to taste! The chocolate BBQ sauce on the wings was REALLY interesting. I had to eat two to really acquire the taste. It's not a BAD acquired taste but it is definitely different. I really liked them. I took some back to the hotel to munch on later! Heh heh. The papardelle pasta was nice and very filling! I didn't totally love it but I don't think it has any flaws. It wasn't fantastically seasoned or anything of that sort. I had some of my boyfriend's dish of duck breast and it was also really well made. It had a great taste, not dry at all. However I will wildly rave about he desert! It was wooooonderful. The lemon meringue was my favorite--shockingly. It's a refreshing finish to the other two chocolate-y shooters. Also the service is lovely. Our server was very polite and prompt AAAND not annoying at all. Overall it is NOT cheap. We came here to treat ourselves. If we ever come back, we'd probably come back for the desert and nothing else. Just go here at least once if you have the opportunity. read more

A tremendously disappointing evening at Harvest. It all began at our seating - A sticky polish wax layered on our table resulted in glasses and plates stuck in place. At first we thought the table was uncleaned - thankfully that wasn't the case. However this annoyance extended throughout our stay. For starters we decided on the "Rhode Island Calamari Crusted In Snyder's of Hanover Pretzels". Whew - Impressively titled appetizer quickly became unimpressive "Highly Salted Microwave Calamari". The worst was yet to come... The Grilled Monkfish arrived dry and totally tasteless. No exaggeration...no seasoning at all. This disaster came with a choice of two sides. The asparagus and the "vegetable of the day or - in this case - night(mare) which was a poor man's brussels sprout. Both were tasteless horrors as well. Upon asked I couldn't help but honestly explain how disappointed I was with the meal. Sincere apologies were given as I was asked if I wanted another menu item. I politely declined and requested lemon to squeeze over the fish. I mean something had to be done here. An order of "Pan Seared Flounder" fared better but not by much. A boring selection that couldn't quite be finished. Fish entrees here seems dated and should be avoided. The lone positive was the "Dessert Shooter Trio". The small bites of Chocolate Cake Mint, Carrot Cake, White Chocolate Macadamia was satisfying. Seek a you shall finally find! Service - while polite - was rushed at first and had to be slowed down. Of course after this meal we couldn't wait to leave... read more

There were many choices that fit everyone's palate, nice portions, and of course the signature fresh ingredients. We'll be back again next year. After living in Hershey for 2.5 years, I finally came to Harvest on a date night with my BF. I had been itching to try this restaurant for months after hearing about their philosophy and use of fresh local ingredients. I was also looking forward to dining here because of it's many rave reviews. I'm happy to say that the appetizers I had here was some of the most exciting food I've had in Hershey! Harvest also has a nice atmosphere that is casual yet elegant. The service was friendly - although our waitress forgot to pack up some food for our doggie bag - but she was very sweet and knowledgable about the food. We started off with a basket of breads which are baked in-house at the restaurant. This fall evening we were offered potato rolls, wheat rolls + apple bread. It also came with cinnamon butter! For appetizers, we ordered the pan seared diver scallops w. sweet potato puree + caramelized brussel sprout leaves and the crispy cider braised pork belly w. parsnip puree + maple reduction. They were both delicious. The scallops were a little small, but the smokey flavor on the pan-sear combined with the sweet potato puree and the crunchy brussel leaves was perfect and balanced. Not too salty, not too sweet, and the scallops cooked just right! The pork belly was hands down my favorite plate of the night, though. The meat and fat literally melted in your mouth. And the cider marinade was accentuated by thin slices of fresh apples and the smoothness of the parsnip puree. For entree, he ordered the prime rib w. a side of sauteed mushrooms + fries, and I ordered the "jail island salmon" w. potato/bacon/spinach hash + fennel sauce. The potato/bacon/spinach hash was probably the tastiest thing on the plate, but that doesn't mean the salmon wasn't great! The salmon was cooked perfectly and simply- flaky and moist and pink all around. The fennel sauce was a little sour, but it complimented the seafood well. The prime rib was huge, a little undercooked, but the cut of meat was fantastic. The only disappointment of the night was the side of fries. They were limp and soggy and not crispy (McDonald's fries are way better). Overall, I really enjoyed my meal at Harvest, and would recommend it to anyone in the Hershey area. Finishing off the evening with a nice stroll around the Hotel Hershey grounds to digest our food and it was a great date night :) read more

The good: The space is absolutely lovely. Dark wood, huge windows, great light, gerber daisies on the tables, fabulous flatware, on the grounds of the Hershey Hotel. The staff was just as lovely. I was dining alone and they didn't say "Just one?" when I walked in (Ugh, I hate that!). They also assured me that it was okay that I was wearing jeans - actually most people were dressed quite casually. Servers kept the drinks filled and were really really nice. The bad: The food was really disappointing. And for as much as it costs it better be great. After waiting a LONG time for my meal - which my server apologized for and I was okay with because as stated above, the space is great and I didn't mind hanging out waiting. But when there were only three tables with people (filled up a bit later) AND I ordered first, my fries should not have been cold when they finally came out. The ugly: The real kicker was that when I ordered my burger I asked (and repeated) that I didn't want the fried egg on top. So, the burger that took forever finally comes out WITH the egg. My server instantly realized what was wrong and took it back. Came back 5-10 minutes later with a new one. EXCEPT they only took the egg off the top. How did I know? Because the yolk had broken all over the burger, pickle and bun. Yolks gross me out (thus the request for no egg). After three bites of my meal I couldn't eat any more. The saving grace (aside from the space & staff) was the adorable couple sitting next to me. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that they were close to 100. But they were so cute with each other and obviously really liked hanging out together. THEY were the highlight of my meal. Plus they were getting sloshed. At one point I heard the woman giggle "I'm getting messy here". I'd hang out with them again but definitely won't be heading back to Harvest anytime soon...or ever. read more

My boyfriend & I dined twice here in one weekend while staying at the Hotel Hershey. It's a great farm to table restaurant that's actually located directly behind the hotel, in its own separate building. Every dish features at least one ingredient from with a 100 mile radius (more often than not even closer). The first time we went was for lunch where we got the delicious beer & cheese dip as a starter. My bf got the lobster Cobb salad & I settled on the Steel-Town salad, which featured steak & french fries (what's not to love about a salad that has french fries in it?). We decided since we're in Hershey, we should squeeze in some dessert so our waitress told us they conveniently offered some dessert "shooters" for 2 bucks a pop. Basically they're like pudding-based desserts that are layered in shot glasses. We had a hard time picking but we settled on the peanut butter brownie & the Kit-Kat praline. We just narrowly missed out on selecting the waitress' favorite-- chocolate & salted caramel-- so she came back & gave it to us, on the house. That was super nice. For dinner the following night we got the she-crab soup & the stuffed mushrooms as starters. The soup was out of this world but we thought the mushrooms were a little bland. For dinner we both got the hangar steak in a birch beer (!!) reduction sauce & bacon mashed potatoes... and we loved it. We did save more room for dessert this time & got the chocolate chip cookie shooter & the s'mores shooter. Both were awesome. Duh. Dinner needed reservations but we were able to waltz right in for lunch. The people were super nice, the ambiance was great, the variety of free bread was a nice touch & the prices were totally affordable. We had a great time & we already know what we'll be ordering the next time we come to Hershey! read more

We came very early (a little before 5) after not really eating the entire day and apartment searching in my big move to Pennsylvania. We wanted to go to Hershey, and I just looked on the Hershey, PA website to find a few places. This place sounded delicious, so we went on over. The trek to the restaurant is beautiful - the Hotel Hershey is really amazing and full of beautiful greenery and architecture. We were seated right away with a small two person table (it was just me and my husband) near the window. Our waitress, Kim, was attentive and very nice. She was sweet and knew a lot about the food. When we told her we were celebrating my new position, she brought us a small champagne flute of a nice Riesling (I had ordered the Chateau St. Michelle, a good old standby) for the occasion. The short ribs has great flavor and sauce - they were the second best I have ever had. I really enjoyed them. My husband ordered the "pittburgh" burger which was a charred patty, fried egg, blue cheese, carmelized onions, and french fries. It was delicious - the blue cheese was unlike anything I have ever tasted in another restaurant - really fresh and tasty and I normally am not a bleu cheese fan. It was also HUGE. He managed to eat half. We both got a small "shooter" of dessert. We got the chocolate something with salted caramel on top and bottom with cocoa nibs on top (AMAZING) and the smo read more
