I exclusively go to Harris teeter for two reasons: 1) their sandwhich meat from the deli 2) DAILY DOUBLE COUPONS (up to .99) and TRIPLE COUPON days! They also price match which is awesome. Although Harris Teeter does not have the best prices BY FAR, their customer service is always great, their aisles are always neat and orderly, and I love the general ambience. It doesn't feel as commercial as a Safeway, but it does look like a traditional neighborhood store - neat and orderly. Not to mention, when you do catch harris teeter during their triple coupon days, you can really take couponing to the extreme and catch some great deals. read more

I'm a big fan of this Harris Teeter for two reasons: the staff and the samples. The staff is always helpful and friendly here. On some occasions they have gone above and beyond to make my shopping experience worth while. The folks that make the subs, especially Dreama G, are awesome. The other thing I love about this Harris Teeter is that they apart always have samples. And the what I really like is that they have plenty of them. This tactic has motivated me to buy several items that I would not normally get. The store is normally very clean and well stocked. I've never had an issue in these areas. I don't do my normal grocery shopping here, but when I do need something I find what I need with ease. Harris Teeter does great with coupons and other specials, so keep your eyes out for good deals and coupon double days. I love this place. First of all, this place opens 24hours a day. At night time, it's like zombie town but some of us prefer it that way. I like it when it's empty and no waiting line. however their deli/meat section is closed after 10. Second.. is that they have veteran parking spot. seriously respect! and thank you for taking care of us. Although it's just a parking lot, it really means a lot to veterans. This is the only 24hr supermarket I know in the Rt 50/I-66 junction area! I used to love the $3.99 footlong Fridays, but they recently changed it to $4.99. The produce and meat that I have gotten here has always been very fresh. I think Harris Teeter is a little pricier than the other supermarkets though, so I never buy much. read more

seriously LURVE me some Harris Teeter. Although this particular location isn't prime, its an excellent option for me because its close by my house and its never busy. If i were to go to Safeway around the corner after work, I would be waiting in the checkout line for atleast 10 mins. What I love most about Harris Teeter is their variety of organic and regularly grown produce. Their produce is always fresh and ripe for the pickin'! They even have a modest vegan section :) Although their selection isn't as vast as Wegman's, I've always found what I'm looking without a hitch! They offer healthy alternatives to everything at desirable prices. BONUS POINTS for carrying my beloved Corazonas Oatmeal Squares, which i cannot find ANY-WHERE ELSE. not even wholefoods! You have to admit HT picked the worst time ever to finally open - right in the middle of Snowmageddon. I'm psyched that they're finally nearby, I used to go to the HT in Old Town FFX and I missed it. The VIC deals are pretty awesome, as is the ExpressLane service - you order your food online, arrange a pickup time, drive to the front of the store, and it's delivered to your car all bagged up. They need to figure out how to scan coupons on the handheld registers they use, but it saves time. It also saves money you don't spend buying random crap you see walking in the aisles. They also have Peet's coffee and horseradish cheddar available by the slice in the deli, so they've got my business! read more

I love Harris Teeter. I really love this location too, although it's a pain in the tail to get to. This location is spotless. I mean spotless. It's a little more pricey than say, Giant - but a little less than Wegmans. The wine section is awesome, the cheese section, even better and who doesn't love a little man rolling sushi as fast as his fingers can go! The employees at the check out counters are very nice too, even had one offer to carry a bag to my car because he thought he packed it too heavy for me. I'm a fan! read more

Love Harris Teeter. -Food quality is much better than the nearby Giant and Safeway -The deli food is much better than the other local grocery stores -Customer Service - everyone here is extremely polite and professional. The personal shoppers are GREAT if you use the food pickup service. I've even offered to tip them several times but they've refused. -Grocery pickup - this service is totally worth it. It's I think around 9 bucks for them to do all the grocery shopping for you, you shop online (much easier to find sale items), pick a time window to pick up it, and you don't even have to get out of the car. They do a great job at picking out the right things, and swapping it for something very similar if they are out of something. It's could be the best grocery experience in Fairfax. Wegmans and Whole Foods compete, but parking sucks at both of them. read more

I LOVE Harris Teeter. Here's why: 1. The deli meats are great and the service is always quick and friendly. 2. I haven't been in the seafood dept in this particular store yet, but the other HT store I used to go to it was always good. I'll assume this one is no different. 3. Little to no wait in line- even when it is busy. 4. Everyone here has always been very friendly. 5. A free cookie to children of all ages. I always grab one on the way out. People tell me HT is too expensive. I haven't felt that way. That may be true on some items, but I always end up finding really good deals on stuff when I go. Anyone who thinks HT is expensive should definitely stay away from Wegman's. read more

This store didn't deliver for what I thought it would be. They had a good produce selection, but nothing as great as like Whole Foods. They had a wide variety of groceries, but nothing out of this world either. The prices were higher than other stores, and not worth the higher price, like the experience at Wegmans is. I do my weekly shopping at Harris Teeter every time! I've hit a few bumps in the road here and there with products being out of stock, errors on my pick up orders, etc., but their customer service and convenience makes it worthwhile to return. PROS: - There's always good parking & there are lots of cart holders throughout the lot. - Their staff is always friendly and efficient. They are great about opening additional registers when the checkout lines are getting long. - They have an awesome home shop service! For $5 you can have someone do the shopping for you and drive right up front to have your car loaded. Their app is easy to use, they have special deals for home shop customers, and they do a great job of ensuring you're receiving quality items. I've had a few errors made on my orders and with a quick call, every issue has been resolved beyond my satisfaction. - The Harris Teeter brand items are great! I buy them often instead of brand name. Ex: pasta, cheese, canned veggies/tomatoes, frozen items, prepared soups, etc. - They have lots of samples spread throughout the produce, bread, and deli section. - Free cookies on your way out! - Their sales are great- they often do buy 2 get 3 free deals. They also have eVic specials, with special pricing when you use your Vic card. - The store is always clean and well stocked. They are open 24 hours! - I love their made to order subs! Great selection to choose from and your sandwich is always fresh. - Their pharmacy is pretty good for the most part too. I've run into a few customer service issues, but I like the convenience of having this added to my home shop order and having my Rx brought to my car. And when you fill a Rx with a home shop, your $5 fee is waived. It's the best! I could go on and on, but I'll stop here haha. This store is awful. We would come here because they have a few expanded flavors of mixed nuts, frozen breakfast items, marinades, and chips that we don't find elsewhere, but the prices are so much higher and most of the dairy items are days from spoiling, we won't be going back. Seems everyone else knows this store sucks too because it's always nearly empty. But of course that also means it's empty of workers, so if you ever need help finding an item you're out of luck. I couldn't get someone to help me find canned pineapple juice. The guy who tried wandered in circles and wasted my time following him around the whole store when he didn't even know where he was going. I wound up having to retrace the whole store myself to buy items from all the aisles he dragged me up and down which is very frustrating for a person with a physical disability and asthma who struggles to breathe in their mask. I really wish he had just said " I don't know where it is maybe let me get someone else to help you" instead of starting at the front of the store weaving in and out of almost every aisle until we got to the back of the store and then shrugging and saying they must be out... And yet I found the canned pineapple juice on the one aisle he didn't seem to take me down. there are also hardly any people ever working the cash registers, so you are more inclined to use self check out, but at self check out the machines don't even accept Apple Pay and whoever they have standing to help with self check out is always so incompetent and so distracted and wandering off to do who knows what, that I have literally been in the self checkout line with just 5 items, needed help with something bc their shitty machine was glitching and then waited so long to get assistance that I just abandoned my groceries at the self check out and left the store. I'm sure if I'd just stolen the 5 items they would have neither noticed nor cared. read more

Even thought it is pricey, you can get good deals here (look out for their coupon days), especially their own brands. I love the sub sandwiches and they are $5 footlongs on Fridays. The store is clean and the employees are friendly. This place is still open 24 hours. read more

One piece of advice to the cashiers and management: If you make a mistake that causes the customer to pay 5x what she meant to pay, DO NOT BLAME IT ON THE CUSTOMER. Just apologize to the customer. The woman who works at the bakery counter where they have the free samples is very rude. I have seen her slam down items on the counter near customers and make rude comments. I dont buy fresh bread there anymore because she will give you the stink eye. The sub shop can be ok....but it depends who makes it because there is no consitant product and a couple of times no one has helped me fast or the sub has been really bad. The salad bar is ok but the lettuce is very wilted. I hate the way the check out lines are turning--- it doesnt help the carts, it is confusing to customers and causes people to sometimes "skip" ahead in the line cause they "didnt know where to go" read more

I have to give a shout out to Harris Teeter and their awesome management at this location! I bought an amazon giftcard sunday along with other items, and by mistake the gift card never made it in my bag. I called the store when i got home and noticed, they located the item and rather than holding it there for me to come back and pick it up, the manager drove to my house and dropped it off along with a gallon of ice cream and a $5 gift card! talk about customer service! This review is for the Bakery department, specifically Maria Victoria who works there. My mom and I were looking for a baby shower cake but Teeter had no options available in their official bakery book. Thank goodness for Maria Victoria! She was super sweet and told us as long as I could provide a picture with a rough idea of what I wanted, she could make it work. I texted her a picture of a baby shower cake I found online and asked her to make it gender-neutral. I think the finished product turned out better than the original picture! She even took the time to sculpt out a baby to include on the cake - which is truly a work of art. We will be going back to her for our next big event for sure. read more

I've been to this Harris Teeter once before and I can assure you that I did not have a good experience - that was about one year ago. I decided to give it another chance and went because I needed a few items and didn't want to go through the Costco lines on a Sunday. This HT is right off of RT.50 in Fairfax so I decided to try it out. I signed up for the VIC card because I wanted to know that I got something on sale due to the fact that some of their prices were outrageous. When I looked around I saw that the produce section was to the right of the entrance and I stopped over there to see what they had. I was surprised to see that they had lots of veggies at a reasonable price. I got some Romaine lettuce, tomato's and some broccoli for the dinner I was preparing. All of them were organic and all of them were priced at a competitive rate. I will say, I was really shocked and I HAD to have come on the right weekend. I noticed that their deli section is very nice and I took some time to see what type of meats that they had. I can definitely see myself coming back for their deli selection as it looked so fresh and due to the fact that I am a deli type of person this place could suit my needs. Now, their layout is really odd as they stuffed the bread section in there as well. It looks like they just forgot that they needed to have bread in their store but nonetheless they were all stocked. I continued on as I saw another sale and the VIC card allowed me to get some Progresso soup, buy one get one free. Sometimes there's nothing better than a soup and sandwich on a nice day. I was conveniently called and was told that were "out of X,Y & Z" so my trip didn't end there. I took a trip to the milk and cheeses section and made sure that I got everything to keep my home happy. I found myself wandering a bit so I looked back at my phone to keep me on track. Didn't work - I saw another sale. Due to the fact that I was able to shop here and most of the items that I got were on sale made a big difference. If you shop here you MUST be a smart shopper. They have some great organic foods that are from the local area farms which I love to support but , you really have to smart here. You can easily leave with a $70 grocery bill if you wander. On another note, I saw a "Sale" on Ben & Jerry's ice cream - $4.29. Absolutely ridiculous. Harris Teeter is definitely more expensive than other supermarkets (Shoppers, Giant, Safeway) but if you shop right you get great quality foods. I have always had great experiences at Wegmans but I wouldn't mind giving HT another shot. That said I enjoyed my shopping experience and would come here again for the fresh produce and the deli. Got some shrimp from the seafood center for New Years. When I got home and unwrapped them my whole house stunk like ammonia, I rinsed them and thought if I cooked them it would be okay since I had bought them only an hour ago. WRONG, they were most definitely bad, the sign says guaranteed fresh or double your money back well I returned with the receipt and was only credited with what I paid. HT is in a great location, always well staffed, great choices and good prices. I still go to WF or Wegman's for the speciality products but for everyday items this a great stop. I don't use the deli, but every now and then there is a great product in the seafood department. I usually keep an eye out for the sushi grade tuna. The self service option is usually available, but there is hardly a long line so I only use it when I have one or two items or am in a hurry. read more

Its the worst harris teeter. Avoid like the plague. The produce section is constantly out of stock of basic things and the stuff they have is clearly past expiration. I have picked up boxes of lettuce - you know, the prewashed stuff, and liquid came out of the side of it because the lettuce inside was rotting. How does that even stay on the shelf? In the summer the onions have flies all over them - I am not talking about a couple, lots of them. The tomatoes are usually mushy, or rot within a day or two of taking home. Clearly HT does not care about this location. I love HT, in fact, I started driving to the Vienna location or Manassas out of total frustration for this store, even though its so much closer. read more

Went here when was visiting my daughter in Virginia. Very impressed with the pharmacy staff. Quick professional and courteous. I see why my daughter chooses to come here. The store was clean and had a good selection of organic products. Would like more gluten free foods available. read more

I will admit that I have only visted this Harris Teeter location a few times but I have been less than impressed with its produce and seafood selections. Maybe I have visited on off times but the selection of vegetables, herbs, and fruits were less appealing than Safeway and Whole Foods and even other HT stores. More disheartening was my experience of their mussels. Last Friday evening, I purchased two 2 lb. bags (total of 4 lbs) of mussels which were on special. I was very careful to place the mussels on ice and let them breathe overnight. After throwing out the cracked and/or dead mussels, I ended up with less than half of what I started with. I question the care of the seafood. I guess from now on I will only go to HT for their bake goods and non perishible items. Whole Foods will continue to have my business for produce and seafood, hands down. read more

Love this store for many things. Good prepared foods, ready to grill burgers, bakery breads, most brands I like, etc. However I cannot stand the deli because always takes forever to get someone to help you. There's always either a line or no one back there ready to help, you always have to ask someone behind the pastry or sushi area to help and so I often just skip right past and drive further to Wegmans where I know I can always get in and out faster. Now standing here waiting for the deli lady to go "to the back" because there is "no white American cheese out front". Really?? There is a really sweet man with a white beard who is often at the checkout area doing announcements and customer service who is just so kind and helpful though. This Harris Teeter is about 15-20 minutes from my house and I pass probably 10 grocery stores on the way to it, but there are several reasons why I make the trip here. You can order your groceries online and pull up to the door and they bring everything right out and you don't have to even get out of your car. There is a $5 fee, but I save more than that by not browsing the aisles and picking up items I don't need. They have really good sales......like buy 2 get 3 free kind of sales. Whenever they have this sale on their coffee I make a special trip here. That's such a great deal and their coffee is really good. One time I came and got 5 of a medium blend. I really wanted a darker roast but they didn't have it. I came back a week later to see if I could exchange it and they absolutely let me exchange it and were so nice about it. After I exchanged my coffee I came back in and grabbed a loaf of bread and did the self-checkout. As I was walking out, the guy working that area said, "Have a great day Ms. Bell". At first I wondered how he knew my name, but then I assumed it's from my loyalty card and I smiled and thanked him and wished him the same. They really know how to do customer service and make you want to continue to come back. read more

I was at this location yesterday,I did spend $40 in grocery .I got their brand pasta ,today my wife called me and said she found a lot bugs inside .She called to tell me the issue and how she is scared the bugs would spread all around our place.So I got home as soon as I can ,and I return the pasta the "buggy "pasta .Guess what !!they didn't even apologize .They offer me the $2 refund plus double merchandise of their competitors .The started put away their brand ,which they saw is full with bugs.I still can't believe what happen to me their.If you wanna shop there,don't get their brand . read more
