It's okay. My main purpose for a CVS is to get a cold bottle of water, or aspirin for mind numbing workouts. This one being close to the gym, gets high marks for convenience. Being able to walk over helps. Various points of the day, this can be a extremely busy store. They don't seem to have enough employees. No this is unusual right now, as that's everywhere and in all industries. Glad they have a self checkout option. Prices here tend to be higher than, say Walmart or Walgreens. It's not a huge amount. Am pleased they allow you, to deny a mile long receipt you'll never use. That's progress. read more

Understaffed and rude. every time I come to the CVS you cannot get anyone to help you check out and if you go to the pharmacy there is no clear direction as to where you pick up your prescription. And then you have to wait. They have signs where to wait for your prescription but nobody follows the signs and there's no clear direction and have two or three lines in different places. The staff does nothing to help this. This CVS really needs much better management there's nobody at the front registers when you go to check out there either. Always have to wait. read more

I love the coupon scanning machine at any CVS. It is the first place I go when I enter any location. The store was clean and had hardly anyone inside. I had coupons and wanted the cashier's help. She wanted me to scan the items myself. I finally got her to help me. There were several discounted items in the store. read more

Is there a reason why all CVS's are so terrible? I honestly don't remember them being so gross, nasty, unhelpful, unfriendly and down right, awful! I have spent much of my work day going back and forth with the incompetent staff at several CVS's. So it's not just one of them. They are all awful. Long story short, I have been pulling teeth with the CVS in Centreville. They transferred a RX, then cancelled it, or didnt?? Just called the other one and they said they never received. I called and yelled at a manager and they said "sorry we're short staffed." Does short staffed mean you lack doing your job, lie to customers and have zero clue what you are doing. Summary - CVS needs to go. There are other pharmacies. Avoid at all cost. I'm never going back. They are terrible run down and they've had their run. Bye felicia! read more

Possibly the worst CVS I've ever been to. They've given me the wrong prescription on multiple occasions. Filled prescriptions that are no longer active and then not given me the correct medication when asked. On top of that the staff is rude and they're way understaffed. read more

I needed to return two items that I no longer needed. There was no line, there was only one cashier behind the counter, and the transaction was completed quickly and competently. In and out within a minute; ideal! Normally there's an entrance into a shopping center in the center of the shopping center, but there isn't one here. What's odd about this CVS is its weird location---it's easy to miss the turn because you enter before the CVS, go around the back of the building and down a hill, and loop back in, with the CVS off to the left. It's an odd layout but luckily Google Maps didn't let me down this time with its characteristic lags. read more

It gets better. I'm eligible for a three-dose primary COVID vaccine and a booster. Per the CDC, the latter should be given at 5 months. But the pharmacist could not get his head around the notion that the third dose is NOT a booster and openly said he doesn't care what the CDC says. Be very wary of any pharmacist with this attitude and this lack of basic information. These are basic competency issues. read more

If I could give 0 star I would. The pharmacy staff at this CVS location often has attitude and not helpful at all. Our doctor prescribed us a spacer for inhaler, it was defective. My husband went back and asked for replacement, CVS asked us to contact manufacturer. After an hour waiting on the phone for the manufacturer to respond, the manufacturer said CVS as retailer should replace for us. Called CVS again and the staff argued but finally agreed on replacing it. My husband went back to the store to get a replacement, the staff said he needed to bring the original spacer. Went back with the original spacer and then CVS sa8d they don't have a replacement ready. What a joke. This process had already taken a week and not yet resolved. The Centreville CVS is your typical CVS drug store. They carry all the normal drug store offerings - including office supplies, health and beauty products, toiletries, food, and so on. I go here to get my prescriptions filled. The pharmacy usually fills prescriptions while you wait - a typical wait might be as long as 15 minutes. Only one time did I have to wait longer - they told me up front there would be a longer wait - so I dropped off the prescription and opted to come back later. CVS has a phone based prescription refill system - I can call the pharmacy and using their automated system - get a prescription refilled without talking to a person. They also have a drive through for the pharmacy - but I refuse to use the drive through on general principle that Americans are getting to fat and lazy as it is - we should embrace as many opportunities as possible to use our legs. read more

I enjoy coming here for a quick snack or to buy some care products. I have never used their pharmacy but have gotten some of their over the counter medication. Costumer service is a hit or miss, but always friendly during each of my visits. Lines do get long, but the wait time is manageable because as soon as the long gets long a manager steps in to help speed the line along. Parking can be annoying because of the tight parking layout and the fact that a ton of people shop here. read more

This is the worst customer service at a pharmacy I have ever seen. Yesterday they gave me incorrect info on the phone (after waiting on hold for 15 minutes) about why my prescription wasn't ready, so that when I called the doctor's office I couldn't tell them what they needed to do. Then when I was in the store waiting in line (with two pharmacists and one tech working the cash register), the two pharmacists were very rude to another customer when she asked why she wasn't being helped. Apparently the two pharmacists felt it was beneath them to deal with customers, even when there was a long line. We are now sitting in the drive-through and have been waiting for 15 minutes. I know they are understaffed but this is ridiculous! read more

For the past 10+ years I've been using this CVS for their Pharmacy. And in that time the Pharmacists have always been helpful & friendly. But unfortunately over the past 7 years the Pharmacists have been steadily cut-back in their help & hours. Their assistants have also been steadily declined in their hours as well. This situation has been only compounded with a steady increase of customers relying upon them for service. So I write this review to bring to the attention of CVS Corporate, in hopes they finally rectify the situation. I look forward to updating this review once this vital error is corrected. I had come in to the store a couple of weeks ago to pick up a prescription. My job just switched health care providers so there was an issue with my co-pay for the prescription. Which I understood and was willing to resort to making the necessary contacts to correct the issue. My first issue is that after contacting both my doctor and the insurance provider, I called the pharmacy... was put on hold twice. The first time for 22 minutes, the second time for 36 minutes... each time resulted in my being hung up on. On both occasions I spoke with, who I'm guessing is the lead pharmacist; not sure if he is Indian or middle eastern.. however he is extremely rude. On Wednesday, November 23, I called my insurance provider again just to confirm that the adjustment and authorization done so I could pick up the prescription. I received a text to pick up the order but once I got there today I was met with the same rudeness. I have switched pharmacies and will no longer use CVS. Ridiculousness. read more

This particular CVS seems to be awful. This is the only location I've used, for the most part. I was forced to use them for a while, due to my health insurance. I would give them a ZERO stars if I could. Their pharmacy staff is just like, I don't care kind of attitude. I would have the same medication prescribed every month. It's a controlled substance, so I couldn't get the medication transferred to elsewhere. I was stuck. They were always out of it. It would take a week to come back in stock. I went back to using Walgreens pharmacy. They are great about having meds in stock. No waiting for a week. read more

Never ever returning to this CVS or any other location. CVS has lost 4 instant cameras from my WEDDING, and refuses to give me an update. The last update I had to track down myself online was on June 12th. Unacceptable service, both in store and online. They also lied and told me I'll receive my receipt via email and I never did, which customer service now refuses to help without. Now I'll never be able to see those photos. I go to this CVS pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions because it's 24 hours and very convenient but they are so unpleasant that it's not worth it anymore. I have given them multiple chances to redeem themselves in the span of 6 months but every time I am left extremely agitated by how rude the pharmacy is. I can attest to everything Steven H says. They are incredibly rude whether it is on the phone or in person. There have been plenty of times that I am at the counter and they blatantly ignore me. While on the phone, they have hung up on me. Also there have been multiple times they have forgotten to notate there was a refill on my prescription and a time when they miswrote the amount of pills I was to receive. I really hope the manager takes these complaints seriously because the lack of professionalism is appalling. read more

They've called me to ask if they've given me the correct amount of pills before as if I go home and count how many they gave me when I get them. I've had enough of this location and won't be going back. Once they turned me away twice saying they couldn't find my filled prescription and it turned out it was because they misspelled my name on the prescription. Another time they didn't tell me a critical medication was not in stock and didn't tell me it would take a few days to arrive. Another time I got a notice my photo print was ready. I went to pick it up later the following day. They couldn't find it but I could see my print sitting on the printer behind the counter. Visited CVS dive through pharmacy a few minutes ago. I was in my car and did not have on a mask. The attendant asked me to put on my mask. I did what she asked because I thought she was going to open the window to do business (like they normally do). Wrong! She asked me to put on my mask so she could do business through the drawer. So let me wrap my head around this.....I have to wear a mask to do business with the pharmacy through a plate glass window? Is this idiotic to anyone else? When I walked into this store there's bunch of people waiting in line of the front registers. I was trying to get filled my prescription at this pharmacy I was very concerned how they run it. And perhaps my worst dreams came true. I was filling my prescription and waited for more than 1 and 1/2 hours until they called my name as well as other 5 last name at the same time. They even gave me wrong prescription good thing i double checked the address and medication or else I could have been killed. I'm never coming to this CVS again. There is even a rat hiding at the vitamin isle. EWWWW! Then i went to WALGREENS to transfer at Stone Ridge much better service without the wait. It took 10 minutes to fill mine. They even told me that they're brining competition right next to this AWFUL CVS which is going to be 24 Hours pharmacy with drive-thru. I can't wait for them to come. read more

Been to this location many times. It is by far the worst pharmacy. This is the only pharmacy where I have my doctor send the prescription and when I go to pick it up, they tell me that the medicine is not in stock. This has happened multiple times (without notice). I have to either call my doctor or go to another location. On top of that, the staff is rude and they act like they're doing you favors by filling your prescriptions. This review is not for all CVS's. Just this location, others are great and I suggest you go to those. Never step foot in this one. (I always forget how bad this one is, but it's right next to my doctor so I keep going. My fault on that) read more

I recommend Minute Clinic of this CVS store. I had an allergic reaction and I was helped almost immediately. There is a computer where you submit your personal information along with the insurance information. So, there is no receptionist and it is shorter wait time compared to other urgent care locations. The nurse practitioner explained what was causing my allergies, she explained what it was and how to treat it. She walked me to the medication isle to show me the exact meds that I need to buy. Once I took those meds, I got better instantly. The cost of the visit was covered by the insurance with the co-pay, there was no surprise bills that came afterwards. The nurse practitioner asked me to come back if not better by the next day. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs a quick visit to a clinic and for flu shots and stuff- read more

Back in the day, there was a place called People's Drug. CVS later bought People's Drug stores. From a customer standpoint, everything but the name stayed the same. As youngsters, we sniffed the deodorants and joked about getting high off of them. I remember smearing dark ruby lipstick on and putting my face in the one-way mirror on the employee door to see how it tested. Why do I not remember buying that lipstick? It's time to return the favor. The best I can say about CVS is that they have prices to literally call home about -- this weekend, at this location, it was 88 cents for a bottle of hand dish-washing soap. 99 cents for shampoo. Convenient prices are a short jaunt from the bowling alley next door. Considering the rash of new homes built in Centreville in the last five years, I'm not surprised there was a line when I went. This newish CVS sticks out like another pimple in the acne field. Part of the new landscape. Ask your honey if they could do to save money on shampoo, and see if your honey doesn't jump all over you when you get home. read more

Be aware that there is a certain young black woman in the pharmacy who will send you all over the place to get your prescription. She lied to me saying that my medicine could not be had at this Pharmacy. So she directed me to Burke CVS. Which is really out of my way and it turns out the medicine that I needed was at the Lee Highway Pharmacy all along. I guess this was a game for her. She wanted to get a dig into a white woman and she succeeded. Is this the caliber of people CVS hires? God forbid this girl should ever become a real pharmacist. What a creature! read more
