Both the front registers and the pharmacy are chronically short staffed with long lines. Waited in line for almost a half hour today (on a Monday morning!) at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The one clerk in the pharmacy had difficulty communicating with every customer in the long line in front of me. When I finally reached the register, she could not spell my name correctly despite asking at least three times for me to spell it for her. She should clearly not be in a job where she has to interact with the public efficiently. Have gone to this location for years because of the close proximity to my home. Today, however, was the final straw. I'll be moving my prescriptions elsewhere.

The staff at this one are great, as the past week my son needed prescriptions. Done quick and had them in no time! My biggest issue with CVS is their prices. They tend to, at least in my opinion, be more than Walgreens and other competitors. Dollars and change matters these days, as we all are dealing with inflation and other costs. I do think this is a very nicely kept up location. Lines aren't a problem, and they are well stocked. If you're in the area this works for the basics.

As I was…read morestanding in line I observed the cashier, Brandon (# 2590721) be friendly and greet the two white customers in line in front of me and the one behind me with with "Good Afternoon" and "How is your day going". When it was my turn to be waited on instead of greeting me he coldly said "Last Name", FN, DOB. Each time I started answering he rudely cut me off and the 3rd time he cut me off to assist a white customer who walked up to ask him a question. I asked to speak to the pharmacist so that I could inform her of my experience in how Brandon treated me compared to how the white patrons. The pharmacist is Yiftusira Wondimu who reluctantly walked over to me and when I began sharing my experiences with her she rudely cut me off and told me "you cannot say that because I know Brandon and he is not like that." I felt disrespected, discriminated against, and disregarded by both of them.

Went to meat dept to pick up a whole ham. They had none. Wanted a nice rib roast. They had none. This store is a glorified 7-11. Poor produce and the tiniest beef selection anywhere (unless you want beef processed somewhere else and sealed in plastic that looks industrial! Wegmans here I come!!

Most annoyingly, trying to get past the group raising money outside is an effort, but then you'll be asked at self-checkout and maybe even confronted by an employee to give to a charity you may, or may not, have heard of. We give to charity, we don't come to the grocery store to do it. If Giant wants to give to charity, they area multibillion dollar company. If you can manage the drive to Harris Teeter, you'll regain some humanity.

Have used this pharmacy for my son, and am relatively pleased by the kind staff. It's a guess but they are having staffing issues, along with a high volume of prescriptions. Turnaround time is mostly excellent, but there are some times. The lines definitely show it can be busy. My recommendation is weekday mid morning. Then again we don't get to choose when to be sick, or have a condition that needs a prescription medication. I've been happy here. If you're in the area this works. Also those who use Good RX can find competitive pricing here. That alone is a victory sometimes.
