This location has to be my favorite because it was remodeled and has to be the cleanest I've seen! They have so many options when it comes to the hot bar and they even have a fryer in the kitchen!! You can request fried chicken and fish from them and. They will whip it right up for you. When you walk through the frozen foods everything is so organized! It's rare to see that in any grocery store. It's located in a busy shopping center with plenty of stores and restaurants. Definitely a huge upgrade from the competition. read more

I've visited this the many times. First let me start off with the the parking lot. The lanes where cars drive up and down are too narrow they need to have a greater space it is a very tight parking lot I hate that. Upon entering the store the fruits are the highlight they're always very fresh crisp and always get a lot of attention from the staff. The bakery is a big disappointment. Although they may get a small percentage of the sales from the bakery and maybe they're just reducing it overtime. The fish section is actually very good my second favorite area in the store. The organic food selection is also very good along with the frozen foods. Sodas and drinks are decent however there is no Gatorade every time I go they have all those other drinks. Have had nothing but positive experiences when dealing with customer service at this new location. Their produce section is huge, well stocked and very diverse! They have an aisle dedicated to dietary restrictions which includes, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options! This location has a pharmacy and banking through PNC. My only critique is their self checkout needs to be improved upon. We've checked out several times and have been unable to find the produce we want to purchase on the self check out screen. Staff end up typing in the price because they can't find it either. This slows down, wgatshould be a quick self checkout process. read more

The store seems fairly well stocked and there's a very nice and helpful mean working in the notional supplements aisle. After spending considerable time shopping, I had an unfortunate experience with a worker took my cart and the items within it. I tracked down most of the items, but it was an unnecessary pain. I was away from my cart for 5-10 minutes (at the most) looking shopping on their meat department, she the produce department. I didn't want to bring the cart to avoid congestion in the space. The manager and her appeared to laugh about it when I complained. I do not fully speak their primary language, but could tell from facial expressions and body language. read more

My 88 year old mother purchased a lottery scratch ticket from this store. She scanned the ticket as she normally does at all other stores and it stated that she won $50.00. It was her birthday and it made her extremely happy but, when she told the cashier she won, he stated that he could not cash the ticket in and referred her to customer service. We went to  customer service and a middle eastern man in his 50's stated that the customer service was closed and to try tomorrow or go to a 7-11. We drove two miles away where the ticket was scanned and the cashier and manager stated that the ticket was paid out and invalid. We went to the female manager and reported that  something was wrong to discover that the store manager had taken the receipt my mother left at the vending machine and cashed the ticket in for herself. This thief told my mother, play at your own risk and laughed after stealing her $50.00 ticket. This place is corrupt. Beware. They also sell old meat. Consumer #30 read more

I have been shopping at giant for 20 years. I know most of the workers. When they moved from Elden at, to Centerville road I was sad, It's a longer drive but I still go to Centerville road. This place is huge and has almost anything you need. Most of the old workers are still there too. They have freshly squeezed orange juice. Really delicious. I love their monthly magazine, it has great recipes. Their wheat Baguette is also my favorite. How can I not mention their gas points!!! Man! Those points do add up. (Shell-Gas). I love the program. . Our pharmacy is at this same location Love the staff. Nakia pharmacy helper, is a very sweet lady. And VERY helpful. My only problem is PARKING! It's kinda not convenient. This was one of the cleanest stores that I have ever been in. It was organized and staff was very friendly and always asking if i needed help. I wish I lived on this side Of Maryland so I can do my family's shopping here. Its an all in one stop and shop even has a PNC branch inside. read more

The staff that manages that process is always polite, unfailingly helpful, patient and professional. They do their jobs and get the Rx's here quickly. The Pharmacists at the store are difficult to deal with and on multiple occasions have arbitrarily and erroneously overridden both doctors' orders for their patient's health as well as insurance allowances. It has nothing to do with their negligent lack of medical knowledge (despite persistently attempting to uncover patients' medical issues), but has to do with their personal biases to minorities and people with disabilities and major health issues. DON'T USE GIANT PHARMACY FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS. There are much better pharmacies that understand AND RESPECT their patients health privacy and the medical professionals that care for those patients like me. read more

My low star rating is due to the crazy parking lot situation at Giant's new location in Herndon. The staff is great, the store is nice and clean, well lit, the meat department is so much better than Harris Teeter's. But I hate going here due to the parking lot. You take your life in your hands trying to walk or drive in this lot. It's just badly laid out with too businesses demanding everyone's attention. The drivers in this lot do not watch for pedestrians or for other cars. It's every man for themselves! read more
