Wegmans is the absolute best! They have an Italian cookie tray which is to die for. The gluten free sugar cookies are sooo delicious and always fresh. The apple pie is one of my favorites! They also have mini cakes which are amazing! The lemon bars too are a must try! You can't go wrong with Wegmans bakery! The workers are always super helpful too if you need anything! Nice workers! Clean location and bathrooms. Good price on lots of food. Good quality of food for their brand too. The produce is stocked most of the time. It's hit or miss with some of the items. However the Biggest complaint and frustration is the bread- both theirs and on-brand has been moldy within 24 hours of buying it even though the sell by date is more than 3 days away. We have had this happen FOUR (4) times!!!! This has never been the case when we purchase bread at other stores. They're kind and have refunded us each time we've returned it, but it's really frustrating. read more

It's certainly a very pretty store. There's no really easy in and out here. Crowds can be a real challenge. Your best bet is go during a weekday. One thing I like about Wegman's, is the chain has not laid off an employee for economic downturns. Also they allow all of their employees, to be empowered, and to make customer service decisions. That alone is super, and I believe they pay their folks well/good benefits. The employees here seem more interested, than a lot of other grocery stores, where you have to chase folks down. Yes they have the over priced hot meals. Also the yuppie/gourmet aisle is annoying. Yet for regular groceries, they tend to be quite competitive. Are they Aldi or Lidl priced? No but they are less than Giant or Safeway usually. This is in a busy area, but that seems to be where the chain prefers. It's a pleasant store, but crowds are not my favorite thing. read more

I do 90% of my shopping here, including the pharmacy. Anyone who goes to Wegmans must acknowledge that the place is generally immaculate, well-staffed, and stocks tons of products, from common to high-end. I won't dwell on the quality of the store. What I'd like to talk about is the misconception that Wegmans is an elitist store with bloated prices who favors its house brand at the expense of others. The first bit of advice is to shop the sales and take advantage of the in-app coupons. The sale prices aren't advertised in a circular, but if you check tags on shelves, you'll see pretty great discounts if you have the club card. The next is to compare prices. I got a gallon of milk once at Aldi, and then went to Wegmans and saw the milk was $.01 less. Not a big gap but pretty solid evidence that the prices for commodities is competitive. Lastly - and I see this a lot in a foodie group I'm in - is a complaint that they ditch brand names for house brands. I've seen no evidence of this. I saw a commenter once gripe that Wegmans no longer stocked brand name mayo. That was wildly untrue. Is an emphasis on store brands? Sure! It is everywhere, because retailers make more profit. I think people get offended because brands like Target and Aldi and Giant have house brands but never use their own names. There are few if any "Aldi" branded products, but nearly everything in Aldi is house. Wegmans puts its name on the products because THEY HAVE THE GUTS, DAMMIT. I worked in a high-end grocery for years, and they didn't carry Kraft or Little Debbie or Hamburger Helper because they were targeting a higher-end demographic. Wegmans isn't doing that. They have the "everyman" products as well as the "elitist" products. Shop smart and they are a lovely store who won't break the bank. Don't impulse buy caviar and pre-cut pink pineapple and you should be fine. Oh, I will add that it's not lost on me that they have increased their ready-to-eat foods (rotisserie chickens, buffet, salads, subs, etc.) to extortive levels since the pandemic, but personally it was easy to just not get that stuff anymore. There are literally seven restaurants in that shopping center alone. Why get a $14 sub at Wegmans when you can walk over to Cava or Habit or Chipotle, or drive five minutes to Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's? I see in foodie groups people are really angered by this bloat, and I get the annoyance, but grocery store food should either be a guilty pleasure or a convenience, this isn't that anymore, so I've moved on. read more

Bought a $25 cut fruit bowl yesterday with a 2 day "best buy" date. All was great until we got through the top layers of beautiful fruit. Buried below everything was a complete mess of some pre-rotten watermelon. At these prices this is absolutely unacceptable! Purposfully burried the bad fruit beneath the fresh stuff. This review is for the Wegmans Bakery section. They do not miss here!! Everything is always so organized, fresh, and stocked! My favorites are the red velvet cake, carrot cake, cheesecakes, and the fruit tart. Attendants are always friendly and knowledgeable. Walking through the bakery is always so exciting and colorful. Horrible customer service; no follow ups in repeated inquiries with customer service folks regarding product availability where there is an obvious spot for it on the shelf. Standard response is often "it's available at other stores" but hardly convenient; very much out of the way considering the brutal nature of Northern Virginia traffic. The Wegmans brand itself is affordable and the overall quality of their food is fantastic (although I don't recommend some of their ready-made meals - Sprouts is better for that!). Wegmans is just the best grocery store ever. Excellent prices, clean store, helpful staff, and good selection of produce and pre-packaged items. At this location, I especially appreciate the Volta chargers out front, the abundant handicap parking, and the always available electric scooters inside. I've always been curious about this Wegman's. We talked to people who have been to this one and they had good things to say about it. So, finally, we got here. For us, getting here means taking the toll road to 28 as it is the most direct and efficient way to get there. At midday, 28 is busy but traffic moves well up to the Westfields exit. When exiting at Westfields, be sure to head eastbound. It can be tricky because while you're trying to go eastbound, people are coming off Westfields trying to merge onto 28 south. Ah yes...another beautifully designed VDOT interchange (sarcasm). We were very impressed with this Wegmans! It's far easier to get here compared to the Sterling location. Entering and exiting the parking lot is a breeze at the Chantilly store, plus the parking lot is bigger. This Wegman's is bigger plus the aisles are wider and the layout is more logical than the Sterling one. They have a burger bar here---you have to look for it---it's around the corner from the takeout and sushi area. I don't know if we'll ever try it as we come here strictly for shopping but if we did try it, it's good to know that there are plenty of spots to sit down and eat. This Wegman's has free floor plans and store directories (see my photos). We found these to be very helpful. The first time we were here, we had to buy some wine as we were going to have company. I like that the wine and beer section is off to the side with wide aisles. While we were trying to find what we want, an employee approached us. We told him what we were looking for and he took us right there. That was very nice and we thanked him for that. We were pleased to see that this store had a more logical layout. For example, the breads are right in the bakery area. At the Sterling store, the packaged breads were halfway across the store from the fresh baked items. Overall, we both decided that we like shopping here better than in Sterling and feel it is worth it to pay the toll on 267. This store is less crowded and both times we were here, the check-out lines were very short. That said, if I had to guess, it isn't that way on the weekends. If you've been to the Sterling location, I recommend giving this one a try to see what you think. read more

I love Wegmans!!!! I love a new Wegmans even more!!! Each time I stumble upon a newer store, it's like rediscovering the store all over again. Believe it it but, no two stores are ever the same! As soon as I walked in the door, I felt like I needed a map!!! The set up is totally opposite of my location closest to my home but I was able to figure it out kinda quickly. The lighting however kinda threw me off. Maybe it's just me but it seemed kinda dim inside the store. This store does seem to be a bit larger and a lot more open compared to some other locations. Once I was able to locate the few things I was looking for, I walked around the store a second time so I could fully take it all in. I always appreciate how clean the store is no matter the time of your visit. I know this location is highlighted by its Burger Bar, which when I have more time I will have to check it out. I did like that even at 6pm on a weeknight, someone was still stocking the salad bar and making sure it was still clean. I have to acknowledge the lovely lady at the self check out who assisted me do that I did not have to pick up each of the 4 cases of ginger ale I had in the cart. She was kind enough to scan them for me so they could stay in the cart. The grocery gods should bless her for her extra kindness and great customer service! read more

I had for years been a patron of the Fairfax outlet and its been crowded with bumper to bumper shopping carts anytime of the day specially on the weekends. Anyways, I love to come here for coffee and bagel or quick take out lunch,snack or dinner. They have a mexican section, pizza section, salad section and sushi section. Similar to sweet green and CHOPT *Pizza station It's my favorite there!! Napolitana style Pizza !! They have individual medium for $9 and large for $15 and I think they have a very very small size but I really didn't care to know much about it ! Lol It's made to order and you get to choose your toppings but with a 4 toppings maximum, I don't like that but I understand that napolitana style Pizza won't cook well or hold itself if the pizza was loaded with toppings, however some smart and nice employees will accept to put half portion of the topping so I can't get more choices (like 8 different toppings) without adding too much weight to the pizza! *The Burger Bar They have their amazing bar which is famous but that's their first location in VA . Git home, decided to just ask "why" they sell T-bone as a Porterhouse steak. A couple days later an email saying that their meat merchant assured them it was a Porterhouse. I'm so glad to see a Wegmans closer to home! The parking lot is spacious. I love the variety here. Their baked goods section is dangerous, so many sweet treats to choose from. I appreciate how spacious it is at every Wegmans. This location just opened, the store was incredibly neat and organized. Whenever I pay a visit to Wegmans, I'm always able to find what I'm looking for and then some. Employees were all friendly and helpful. They have a large carry out section with all sorts of dishes. Prices are according to weight. Loads of different cuts of meat, cheeses, and wine. There is a nice floral section too. You can get your loved ones everything you need from chocolates, flowers, cards, specialty bath products, and balloons in one stop. Every check out aisle was open, maybe because it was opening day. I usually go to the Dulles Wegmans, but happened to be in the Chantilly area so decided to checkout the newer Wegmans. This store is massive! They don't have two floors like the Dulles one, but it seemed bigger to me. They do a better job at sectioning off different areas, i.e. lobster area, cheese section, florals, and I would say it is worth visiting for their amazing beer and wine selection!!! You can get lost going through all the beer/ wine. It was overwhelming in the best way possible. Disclaimer: Make sure to check your receipt! I got charged double for a discontinued item, and customer service said the item didn't even ring up correctly when they checked. They were nice and made the adjustment, but I thought it was odd. Do no shop at Wegmans if you are brown! Seriously did not appreciate the lady at the self check out counter profiling us over the rest of the white folk. 1. She approached us the first time saying we hadn't scanned the crackers and scanned it again (came home and checked the receipt the item had been scanned twice). 2. She came back and grabbed the cherries and proceeded to scan it for us -- we did not need her help. 3. She came back a third time and said we hadn't scanned the grapes and I had to scroll through the list and show her we had. 4. She put her hand inside our grocery cart and went through our groceries like we were some criminals stealing food. Do better hiring people or training them to be more respectful. I was actually highly impressed by this Wegmans because the one near my house is no where near as good. This Wegmans has alcohol thats the first difference I noticed AND a lot of it too lol. Even the mini carts are different with support baskets on the back of them for carrying extra stuff like soda cans, beer cases etc. The staff here was friendly and helpful! There were also a lot more options here then the one near me. It was also way neater, probably because the one near me is way busier. All in all it was a great experience. You gotta love this store. Not only is it gargantuan, but it has every comestible imaginable, as well as tons of orchids, stuff for entertaining and more. Staff is really nice and super helpful, and there are enough other stores in the shopping center that you can grab a snack before buying groceries. I am a HUGE Wegmans fan! There are always a wide variety of selections to choose from when grocery shopping. They have an excellent gluten free section. One of my favorites ever. They have a ton of pre-prepared selections of fresh food, including juice, salsa, and meals. In addition to their excellent grocery options, they also have a great cafe with quite a few options to choose from. I especially love their sushi, hot food bar, and subs. All with gluten free options available! Highly recommend Wegmans for groceries or a bite to eat. read more
