First time ever coming to a Harris Teeter store! Overall, I do think it's better than places like Food Lion just because it feels more friendly inside. The staff here are friendly and I found all my grocery and health related items without any issues. Prices here are pretty high but you can only take advantage of the discounts if you're a member. Floral Department is non-existent. Two managers tried to help me simply wrap the flowers in paper and you could've called a 5 year old to do a better job. No hate to the fellas, they tried their hardest, but after waiting 30 minutes for the product I was handed, and then having to pay for it? Twas outrageous. read more

The things that I dislike most about this Harris Teeter location are the parking situation and that it is always crowded. Plus, I do think that the prices for groceries here are competitive so check the weekly circular! I will have to say that if you are looking for flowers, they have a great selection. I was looking for a healthy lunch option and had heard that Harris Teeter had salmon on their hot bar. This store does not and since I had already wasted my time traveling to this location I went ahead and got something else from their bar. I got a little bit of about half the options on the asian bar. I got about the same amount of food that I would get if I had ordered at the chinese restaurant and paid $20!! And, the food was not good at all. I have had the asian bar at Food Lion and the food is actually half way decent and only costed me about $10. But this was the worst asian food I have ever had. So I wasted $20 on food that was terrible. Never will make that mistake again! read more

Until Wegmans comes to Cary, nothing will beat Harris Teeter for me. The location is good--near Crossroads and on the way to and from Raleigh on Tryon. The parking lot gets crowded, but you can always find a spot. Associates are pleasant and helpful, and I usually don't have to wait long in line. The prices could be better, but I go for the VIC sales, which are fantastic. read more

This is a nice @HarrisTeeter grocery store. I am not going to say that they are one of the cheapest, or inexpensive stores, but they are nice. The do sell some of the higher quality meats than other stores with the lion on them. My supermarket of choice when I need something conventional close to home. They usually have decent prices and the service is ok. My only complain is that they recently installed 'self check out' lanes. Outside normal hours, this is the only choice. This is really a pain to use because of their weight sensor. For living close by for about 2 months, I've experienced most situations at this Harris Teeter location. Parking has never been a problem as the strip is rarely ever packed. Good luck getting a front row spot, but don't worry, 3-4 spots in isn't so bad! I've called in to order a pizza and was delighted to talk to a friendly doughboy. He walked me through all of my options and made sure my pizza was done in time for a quick pickup. I recommend giving them 16-20 minutes from start to finish. I've ordered plenty of their large and cared for subs. May not be the best sub you've ever had, but being from a grocery store, you're guaranteed to have everything fresh! The blonde lady, who helps out sometimes, is a doll. My only one-time negative experience was with their meat man. He was a younger dude and gave me a hint of attitude while picking out my meats. Being that I order meats here quite often, and this was the only bad experience, I'll chalk it off as a bad day for that dude. I'm the self checkout kind of guy and do understand that aside from the common human error, the machines aren't the MOST user friendly at times. The good thing is, with only 4 shoppers to keep an eye on, the self checkout operator has always been attentive and very helpful. Note, the operator isn't always the same which means this location has a good group of friendly employees. Lastly, I randomly decided to pick up a pasta sauce I've never tried before and decided that I never wanted to. After the purchase, and a convincing of my girlfriend, I went back to return the unopened sauce and experienced a quick and easy transaction. read more

The main thing I like about this location is the produce. Based on the few times I've been in here, the produce is quite good quality. You can even find some really interesting and specialty items (e.g., I picked up some purple asparagus the other day). Aside from that, it's a store. Your typical "higher-end" grocery store. Excellent bakery and meat departments. They also serve up Boar's Head sandwiches - $7 for a foot long, very tasty! Prices are obviously higher than WalMart, but they cater to a different kind of grocery shopper. The only complaint is the horrible parking situation. This is a busy little strip mall including several high-volume stores. I always have to park 150-feet away from the front door. This can be a real pain in the butt. Not sure how much of this is the fault of Harris Teeter, the designers, or just the mix of stores in the area...but needless to say, it is irritating. read more

I really hate that this is the closed HT to my house because it's just all around disappointing. To begin with, the parking lot is a disaster. Always chaos with cars turning in every direction, most not bothering to look for pedestrians that may be trying to cross the street. It's just always stressful getting into the place. That's not really Harris Teeter's fault though I suppose. Mostly, I just feel like the store is laid out poorly, the produce is way overpriced for the quality you get, and the employees all seem rather unhappy and grouchy most of the time. I may need to start travelling further up the road the Kildaire Farm location. read more

When I evaluate the cost versus the quality, i still feel like there isn't the right balance. Saving money matters... Don't hear me wrong, so does quality...but help me answer this question regarding comparisons, for example why isn't name brand cereal EVER on sale. It is cheaper at Wal-Mart, Target, Food Lizard...I mean Lion, etc... I can totally appreciate a mark up on better produce, better deli and better wines... but for the "basics household brands" to be higher makes no sense to me. read more

I love this Harris Teeter! They carry Halo Top 1. and 2. They have self checkout that lets you SLIDE your chip card.. I mean what is better. They also have a full salad bar which is great if you work in the area, it has regular salad items (including baby corns YUM) but also dessert if you have no regard for micro-nutrients :) read more

This is one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. First plus: it's 24 hours!!! I can always count on Harris Teeter to have all the exotic ingredients I need. Lots of options, but it comes with a steep price tag- which is the reason I docked it a star. It's expensive! This isn't the place to come for toiletry items (tissue, detergent, soap), go down the street to Walmart for better prices for that. BUT there's no better place for beautiful, healthy produce and hormone free meats! They also have a great variety of sweets and frozen novelties if you're into that sorta thing. This is one of the only grocery stores we go to. Produce is always fresh and the sales are always right on. The only negative thing is that sometimes items that are on sale or on eVic are sold out even at the beginning of the sale week. Otherwise great place to shop. read more

I coupon here all the time and have not had a problem. This is the best place to find great food deals.I can say the customer service is like royalty class. It's been about a month and I decided to write a review, especially since reading the review another customer wrote about the meat dept employees. I hope the GM at this HT reads these and takes this seriously! From that review it seems that their meat dept staff need better training or another job! I am at this shopping center almost every day because my gym is close by. One early morning I went in and as I was picking up a package of meat blood pored out all over...the packaging had been loosened. I managed to shake off what I could and then looked around for help. No one was in sight but I was able to find a bell to ring. it took a while but a young man in a baseball cap came out, I showed him my hand asking for help and specifically asked for hand sanitizer. he said he had NOTHING and turned to walk away! I raised my voice saying that I couldn't walk around (or out the day - what I wanted to say!) without some way to wipe off the blood! he turned his head and waved be off saying their were towels "over there" and left. To me, it was not obvious where they wer, but thankfully I did find them I immediately left and went to check out, The cashier found me some wipes so I could get checked out. I'll never go back. Lets face it, why would it? or the other woman who posted. Too many other wonderful places like Lowes Food on Cary Parkway or Trader Joes. If you go, I suggest you avoid the meat dept. read more

Tried getting another lane opend today and went to customer service Erin, said if I don't like it go to another store which I will from now own. I've been very disappointed with the produce section recently at Harris Teeter. I've seen a lot of rotten or moldy fruit and vegetables. Also some of the deli meats are out of date. Food lion is looking better all the time. read more

Worst service! After my wife and I checked out at Harris Reeter at Tryon Village Dr Cary, my three children kept affecting us at the checkout. When I scanned the watermelon, I found that there was no label on the watermelon. Try to follow the front staff. When I tried to code, she gave me the wrong code. When we invited her to come to help us make changes, she was very annoying. When we came, my three children were around my wife. I was unhappy to shake my head and turn and wanted to go and then back again. It was not too bad. I don't know if she didn't like the kid or thought she gave me the code absolutely right. But the fact is wrong code. She gave I was 4031 and then I checked 4032. In my opinion, whether you do not like children or because you are unprofessional give me the wrong code. As a service staff is not such an attitude towards the guests, and it was 12:00am at night when the children were close to their parents and should not be so Disgusted read more
