One of the first Trader Joe's with plentiful parking! It was still a bustling place like most Trader Joe's locations, however, it was a swift and efficient shopping and checking out experience. This location stands out for their large selection of fresh flowers of the local area and many more unique Asian selections than my location. Staff were incredibly friendly assisting multiple customers while making sure all needs were met. One staff member even ran to the back to deliver the restock of the highly coveted frozen hash browns. read more

Trader Joe's is Trader Joe's and just all the Trader Joe's are the same. And and by that I mean they are all fantastic. The food is always outstanding and a great value. The only thing that is not great is that sometimes items are no longer available. TJ's is always updating their offerings and dropping items that are not selling well. Problem is now and then they are one that you enjoy. The customer service is always great. Looking for an item they will walk you to it. Questions happily answered and they always have a good number of cashiers open. The store is like everyone I have been to. The Disappearing Act - - - I grew up in Los Angeles and have been a longtime customer of Trader Joe's so I was extremely excited when they came to Raleigh. I like that they have healthy quick meals, produce and condiments. Now I am saddened that more and more of our favorites are slowly disappearing. The perk of Trader Joe's is how friendly the staff is. I asked an asian girl for help finding the apple cider doughnuts and she was so mean to me and cold that I cried in my car when I left. She made me feel so stupid and yelled at me bc I overlooked the item- which was in black crates that looked like restocking stuff, so I didn't think I had to look in a restocking pile so they were not obviously placed with all the other baking goods. Simple mistake. Zero reason to be hostile. I was so nice and even thanked her even tho I was taken aback by how nasty she was being to me. She just rolled her eyes, completely frowning, and stormed off. I will never come back to this location. This girl needs to be fired and has zero place in the customer service field. read more

I frequent different locations for variations. I love the Malbec under $5. Great deal and the taste of this wine is decent for the price. I can't beat the price. The store is always clean, has a pleasant smell, is well-lit, and shoppable. Someone is always stocking or keeping things orderly on each aisle, and the staff is always available to help assist you when you're unsure about which wine selection. We've been shopping here over a year, and every single employee, from the wine director and store manager, to the friendly stock clerk who's helping me find whatever I can seem to locate...is wonderful. This is my favorite grocery store. Things are priced just right. I prefer getting fresh cut flowers from here because of the price and the quality. The produce is of great quality as well. Do try their salad kits which are delicious. They also have ready to eat meal kits. Some of the favorite things to pick up from this grocery store are juices, coconut water, fresh produce, ready to eat salad kits, frozen Indian food, canned fizzy juices, potted plants. Also they have an amazing customer service, the staff is great, super nice and helpful. Have had the same experience in every Trader Joe's store I have been to. I really enjoy this location as opposed to the Cary location. Parking is easier, there are many other stores located in the shopping center but it is nicely spread out. It's smaller than the TJ's I'm used to on Long Island, however, the staff is great, the stock is plentiful and they had the Brazil Nut body butter knockoff of San Janeiro. I don't frequent TJ's often but when I do it's for the dark chocolate almonds, flowers, veggie cowboy burgers, hash brown Pattie's, plantain chips, flowers and drinks. They also sell really tasty pre-made salads and cheap herbs like Mint for $1.50. Many of their items beat the grocery stores prices. I prefer to shop during the late evening closer to closing to avoid all the crazed shoppers who need their cookie butter and hummus. There were no lines when I visited and no one in my way while shopping. I wish the bakery selection were better. All in all, I like this location. read more

I don't get to go to TJ's that often because it is not close to me but when I do I always stock up on various items. This time I came across Brookies. It is a combination of brownies and cookies. They were so good and moist. I will def be getting these again next time that I come back. Most of their products are reasonably priced. There bananas are 19 cents. The staff at Trader Joe's is very friendly. The cashier forgot to give me my receipt and could not locate it. She apologized multiple times (even though she didn't need to) and her manager offered to reprint it for me. He was able to locate it in his system in the back. He was also apologetic. Quick stop for snacks to go in the hotel room. Great selection of interesting cheeses and some sliced deli meat to nibble on while writing my evening's Yelp reviews. I've been to a few TJs and this one is consistent with the brand. Lots of prepared foods, flowers, wines, beers, and a ton of interesting dry and canned goods that you likely won't find in Publix or Harris Teeter. I think you would be hard pressed to do a full week's shop here but you can definitely pick up most of it and fill in the extras elsewhere. Friendly staff, efficient checkout. This is a very well ran store, the main purpose I shop here is because of the high quality produce. The produce I purchased here is more affordable and lasts 7+ days whereas from other grocery stores I pay more and get 2 days if I'm lucky. There is also about 20 plus additional food products I buy here to support my whole foods nutritional plan. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I love the diversity of all the different team members. Overall great store, I heard another one is coming in line soon. read more

I love Trader Joe's just as much if not a little more than most people do. I'll admit I don't enjoy shopping at this store as much as I do the TJs in Cary, but it's a lot closer to where I live now so it is going to be my new go-to. The store is large and well stocked in all departments. The staff were hard at work and super friendly, as always. I love the festive decor they have up right now and I especially love all the holiday food items! Trader Joes has so many amazing products, I have way too many favorites to name. I appreciate both the Trader Joe's locations in Raleigh and Cary taking covid safety precautions seriously by monitoring customers as they come in and out and sanitize carts/baskets in between guests. The only reason I decided to give this location 4 stars is because of the busy location. Don't get me wrong, Midtown East is really nice and I appreciate the new shops there but it's such a busy area and parking can be a hassle. Try to come during their slower hours! read more

There is no doubt that I have always been one of Trader Joe's number one fans, but even more so now that we are dealing with this virus crisis. They were one of the first grocers in the area to react and protect. They were limiting the number of shoppers in the store before they were mandated to do so. Wiping down carts. Limiting distance at the registers. They are still managing to maintain a nice selection of fresh, frozen, refrigerated and pantry items, at reasonable prices. Not to mention wine!! They haven't run out of my faves, and I couldn't be more grateful. Dog's favorite bones are still there, so I'm a happy Mom too. I absolutely LOVE Trader Joe's and this location is one of my faves because they consistently keep regular items in stock. I do all my regular shopping here as they have food, beauty products, plants/fliers, cleaning products, and alcohol. The customer service is A1 as staff are eager and willing to help whereas in most grocery stores you may be searching just to find someone to provide assistance. Even you look a bit confused or even intrigued, definitely expect a staff member to try to help you lol. The store isn't huge, which I like as well so it can be easier to find things. The downside is during peak ours the store can be packed inside and outside since it's in a prime location. But staff members are experts in checking customers out swiftly and efficiently. Let me add they also do in store taste tests which are always so yummy. I always end up buying what I sampled. Be on the look out for all their seasonal items as were bc they tend to come and go quickly. Lastly, I absolutely love that you can return anything (opened or unopened) without a receipt for a refund. I've taken advantage of this a couple times and have used the credit towards other grocery purchases. In the triangle we are fortunate to have several locations so def plan to visit one soon if you haven't checked out a store yet! read more

I'm obviously in the minority, but, I am just not that impressed with Trader Joe's. The parking lot is always very busy, I don't think it's large enough to handle the traffic that visits this store alone much less other businesses in the same plaza. This Trader Joe's is very clean, very organized and very crowded and a hassle to navigate. There are literally only a handful of aisles but they are typically clogged with many shoppers. The employees are quite friendly (had to ask for help) and the checkout lady was very nice. Prices are relatively high, and many items were quite high in carbs (a no go for us), and the selection is rather limited. But, overall between the crowded parking lot, limited selections, high prices, and typically crowded aisles, I'm going to limit my visits to maybe once a year. Definitely will never be in my regular grocery rotation. I did snag the Everything but the Bagel seasoning peeps rave about, $1.99 per bottle and I stocked up. read more

The staff is always nice. Loved the "Food fellas" who were very very enthusiastic in their food demos. I lingered in an aisle just to listen to them make everyone feel better about their day. I am grateful that TJ's encourages their staff to be friendly. Sometimes it is the only human contact a person may have for a given period of time, and to have a bit of social interaction means the world. This Trader Joes' is prone to shopping cart traffic jams, but it is an interesting way to gauge the good manners of a community to visit one. If people say excuse me or smile, or DON't try to use their shopping cart as a battering ram to mow you down, you know the neighborhood is a good one. (I'm looking at YOU Chapel Hill!) Raw-lee....ya'll teach them Tar Heels some manners! I love how TJ's keeps a balance of old favorites and shakes things up a bit with variety and new products. But you do have to watch it sometimes. I loved the Turkey and Stuffing Potato chip idea...but they were like licking the seasoning seasoning straight from the jar. Aggressive. Yeah, I know I could take them back and say "nuh-uh.... no go Joe but as of yet, I have not.) Also, I have been told that if you want to try something, take the bag up to the customer service counter and they will oblige. I don't know if this is urban myth as I have never had the courage to attempt. My only gripe, is there are no TJ's on the North Raleigh side. Lines around the building because thankfully they are paying attention to occupancy. Bring a coat, though they move relatively quickly. So many vegan options we have trouble saying no to the less WFPB ones. I am addicted to their vegan mac as a sort of casserole starter and add other seasonings or sauce and vegetables to. Scrumptious veg chili and my family loves the quinoa sweet potato Super Burritos. Great prices on basics like frozen spinach and roasted corn. Always always amazing team members. Overall what is not to love about Trader Joe's? I like that the place isn't huge and if you plan ahead you can quickly grab everything you need and be on your way without a ton of aimless wondering. The flower section here is slacking a bit compared to the Trader Joe's in Winston, but they still have an okay variety for an awesome price. A few of my favorite things to buy here include produce, kosher rib eye steak, frozen foods, and tasty tasty snacks. I literally cannot walk out without buying a snack, but since nothing has preservatives or artificial colors I feel a little better about the snacks I buy. Parking is easy. I don't recommend parking in the front row in front of the store since when it is busy there is always a million pedestrians making their way to and from the entrance. read more

Ever since my first trip to a Trader Joe's up in Cambridge, MA twelve years ago, I've relied on you for the best nuts, coffee beans, cheeses, Trader Jose mexican food and wine at reasonable prices And you always deliver, dammit! Your single servings and easy to prepare dishes mean I never really have to cook to have a decent meal. Your well-priced wines mean that when I do cook, I can wine and dine friends without breaking the bank. I looked in my basket today and what did I find? Three bottles of wine, fried onion pieces, turkey gravy, marzipan stollen and mint candy cane Joe-Joe's. What kind of a meal is that? Oh yeah, single person, I nearly forgot... Ok, all kidding aside, I love TJ's and the newest Triangle location in N. Raleigh is not bad at all. A bit more cramped both for parking and the interior (compared to Cary), it still carries all the delicious items that TJ's is known for. But I'm knocking off a star for the higher prices on the East coast. My west coast sources have told me that 2 Buck Chuck is still truly $1.99 per bottle unlike here in NC. And I've noticed higher prices on other TJ's goods. We love ya out here but could you lower the prices a bit? read more

I try not to come in here too much because I can spend all the hours & money! However, I LOVE TRADER JOE'S! I wish (and also don't wish at the same time due to the fact that I would be here every other day), it was closer to where I live! The only complaint is that they run out of cauliflower gnocchi too quickly and I haven't been able to try it yet. Must be amazing! Also, this place is PACKED on the weekends but that's just for obvious reasons. Every employee is so friendly, helpful, and personable! Some of my favorite products are the sweet & spicy pecans with pub cheese (two separate items but amazing together), prosciutto (I think a package is between $3-5, and it's great quality), cooked pork belly (just sear it on each side for about 5-8 minutes), their huge variety of cheeses, chili-lime chicken burgers, olive oil popcorn, and dark chocolate almond butter cups. I also love their lavender hand lotion that I keep at my desk at work. It's great! Can't wait for my next trip to TJ's! read more

I love Trader Joe's BUT, PLEASE BUYER BEWARE PLEASE PLEASE!!! I pointed out to the manager, Johnny about 8:40am 11/19/20 that each check-out counter as the same misleading price above the mini box of Caramel Sea Salt Dark chocolates $.99 but they are rung up as $1.99, note in the pic the neighboring tag says $1.79, I bought 23 boxes of a 99 cent candy that to my surprise totaled $49.09 w/tax. There is not even a $1.99 tag at any of the counters. What I feel like was an opportunity to rob your patrons, was very successful with me, and I'm sure countless others, check your receipts. Johnny the mgr. looked at me with some irritation and didn't want to come from around the public office area, to see what I had to show him. I repeated I can show you that YOU ARE MISLEADING THE CUSTOMERS (false advertisement) he reluctantly came around and requested my receipt and I showed it to him, he never offered to make it right and honor the misleading price that was over all the registers (6-8 of them at least). When I explained this to Johnny on lookers were very attentive to my situation, he was not happy or graceful nor friendly, he was bothered. By the way, Trader Joe's employees are usually the very best in customer service. Perhaps managers are excluded. He Didn't make it right... After I pointed out the price error being at all registers he said he would have someone fix it. PLEASE. BUYER BEWARE!! See the pictures and check your receipts. I come here for the unique products that only TJs offers, but the friendly service and great prices keep me coming back. No matter where I've lived or what TJs I shopped at, I've learned that baked goods and produce are meant to be consumed soon after purchase. I noticed in a few reviews that people mentioned how the produce doesn't last a full week- TJs produce travels farther than your average grocery store, so I always keep this in mind. This particular store has decent parking, and the staff have mastered the COVID safety protocol. They're still sufficiently staffed and have maintained high inventory even during all the COVID stockpiling. read more

Even though the products are a bit pricey because of how everything is organic, but there are very friendly staff and it's kid friendly. They do samples every day. Center back of the store. Always gives me new meal ideas or I get to try something I typically wouldn't have bought. Don't be fooled into thinking this is just for hippies. Trader joes has the cheapest prices for everything. Their organic prices beat Harris teeters any day. The staff is super cool too. Amazing fresh produce prices! Better than any other store around.
