I'm not a regular Publix customer, but after today's purchases, I really should be! I bought a variety of prepared foods and everything was delicious! The tuna sub was fantastic, the pasta salad was delicious, fried chicken was so good and had an unusual mild spice mix that was a hit. Bought the banana pudding and chocolate cake to take to a friend and she loved both. The store is spotless, well lit and easy to navigate - some grocery stores feel so cramped, but Publix doesn't have that feel. The deals were great, too! Buy one get one free on numerous items! Gotta say, it's hard to beat a Publix sub. There a dozens of places that you can get a sub sandwich. But there's just something about a PubSub that makes it special. The Ultimate includes ham, turkey, roast beef and cheese. Dress it up with your favorite toppings (mine are lettuce, tomato, cucumber, black olives, onions, jalapeños) and some oil & vinegar on some crusty, crunchy-on-the-outside, soft-and-chewy-on-the-inside store baked bread and you've got yourself a real treat. We may have had an "off" day but my wife and I weren't too impressed with this Publix location. The aisles were clean and tidy, but quite a bit of the food on the shelves were past their expiration dates. They also didn't carry things common to many grocery stores such as alfalfa sprouts and sugar free chocolate chips. The cashier was super friendly and provided excellent service, but we just couldn't look past all the expired food; bread, condiments, dairy, etc. We also had to dig through quite a few packages of eggs before we found one without broken ones. Again, it was a very clean store with great cashiers, but it wasn't worth the hassle to make it my regular grocery store. read more

I always ordered my cake from Whole Foods Market (WFM). Due to the tight schedule, I called Publix in Wake Forest since it's closer to my home, to order a Chantilly cake. When I came to pick up the Chantilly cake they gave me a Vanilla Cream Cake instead. There was only six halves strawberries on the top and absolutely no strawberry on any layers. Not to mention the cake was very sweet and yuck. I and my guests were very disappointed. I will never order cake from Publix again. We will order our cakes at Whole Foods Market. WFM makes the best Chantilly cake (with strawberry, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries on every layer) and Vanilla Cream Cake (strawberries on every layer.) read more

Good staff at checkout and they have a lot of variety of foods. Place is clean. Do not order food from here unless you want to wait. Everytime I order subs they take 30+ minutes even with mobile order. Waited fifty minutes after the order was placed and it was not ready. read more

Publix is still pretty new to the area, but they have definitely got our attention. We really like their fresh meats and that if you don't see the cut you want, they will cut it for you on the spot. Our favorite location is the Heritage Village in Wake Forest. Today, we had a fender-bender in the parking lot and it really meant a lot to me and my husband that management came out to our car and asked if we needed anything and if everyone was okay. never again will I shop at Publix in Wake Forest North Carolina every again. The first red flag was 7:10 today I went in to get bear claws for my mother in-law and the cheese and almond claw was burn and all the cheese oozing out. With the price of groceries you would think it was a standard of what they put out , So then I left . I then came back , wanted chicken for dinner 4 wing and 2 breast that's all. At first the lady wanted to take some out another box that was sitting in the window. She let me know because she asked someone in the back of the department they was not cooking anymore. Then I ask for the store manager, he went to the deli spoke with deli manager. He went in the back to look in other orders to get the 4 wing and 2 breast. We had to ask what was going on and how long it would be without a time frame. This is fair well to Publix this is not the only place to get good fried chicken. Remember people onmy shop at store were they get treat will common courtesy and respect.If I gave a rating that's correct-5 stars. customer service really was below poor. The cashier Kayleigh has terrible customer service. However, the lady at the self checkout was very nice. It was too early in the morning for Kayleigh's attitude to be so stank. I said "good morning" in jovial mood and this cashier said nothing. I wish I could've used self checkout but couldn't because I was paying with cash. read more

This has been one of my favorite grocery stores since they came to Wake Forest. I had heard about them in other areas and finally got a chance to experience everything people talked about. Publix is a great store with some great prices as well. They have everything you could possibly need from their bakery, to the deli, meats, fresh produce, and every item in between. Their staff and cashiers ALWAYS speak, I've never walked by one employee without them saying hello which speaks volumes. They also offer to take your groceries to your car if need be. For family gatherings, if someone is picking up chicken, they always pick it up from Publix because their chicken is always so fresh and tender. Their shelves are always properly stocked but by chance if a popular item is on sale and they are sold out, they will first check in the back for you and then they have the option of issuing a raincheck which is valid for 60 days so you have plenty of time to return to get the needed items. Publix made our cupcake wedding cake and it couldn't have been a more pleasurable experience. From the moment we sat down with their coordinator to get our ideas, figure out what we wanted and sampling the flavors they had available. On our wedding day it was snowing and they still delivered our cake! Their customer service is impeccable. I always recommend them for bakery needs and my Dad had them do him and his wife's wedding cake as well. Visiting Publix is always a pleasurable shopping experience. read more

One of the best stores in WF. The fruit section can be lacking at times (probably due to a kink in the supply chain). Their deli section is fantastic. Footlong sub station is better than subway. Staff is friendly. Sometimes it appears the store may be understaffed at times. Grocery store sushi is good. Layout of the store is nice. Tons of options. read more

Me and my wife used to shop a different local grocery store. Not any more! We visited the Publix one afternoon for I few needs and we were close by and it was a convenience stop that turned us into regulars. This was our first visit ever to a Publix, and I was in total shock as soon as we walked in! So unbelievably clean and neat. I was sold on the produce, meat and seafood departments. The staff is so friendly, every single employee we encountered spoke to us and asked if they could help (what a shock). At checkout there is ALWAYS someone there to bag your groceries and they offer to take your purchases to the car for you. I haven't seen that service since I was a young child shopping with my mom. I usually politely turn it down because we are capable of loading our on groceries and I feel it frees them up to help someone else who might not be so fortunate. But it is nice to know the service is there if needed. I will have to say the prices are a tad bit higher than other chains but the atmosphere, friendly staff and other little perks are worth the extra cost to us. You also don't have to have one of those rediculous loyalty cards to get the sale prices. The price is as it is marked, what a concept right? The last thing I want to say is they are closed on all major holidays, inclucing Easter, which I think is awesome. We have been regulars for 4 months now and have no desire to go back to the old chain. If you get a chance and have never been, check it out, I know you will be impressed! DP read more

There is a very kind and attentive pharmacy and store management. The regular staff is motivated. This location is immaculate and has almost everything you will need. Most of my experience with the Publix pharmacy has been positive with the exception of one in particular. When I went to pick up my child's prescription today, there were two there for ADD, one stimulant and the other not. I specifically stated I only needed the non-stimulant. When I got home and read the bottles, she had given me both prescriptions. I thought there were two bottles because she was to start on one dose, then increase after a few days and since it was a capsule there would be two bottles. Between insurance requirements of the patient mandatory office visits every three months for the medication, I would have expected the pharmacist to clarify before handing me two different prescriptions for the same diagnosis. When I called to complain, she said I should have caught it before I left so it could have been returned then. read more
