Clean store, great selection though pricey. While checking out, there was no one bagging groceries so I started to do it myself. About 10 feet away or so stood a manager, having a casual chat with another employee. No way he didn't see me--but never offered to help or acknowledged me in any way, until I was finished and leaving the store. Frankly I can't say any of the workers were really "warm and fuzzy," and with a clueless jerk for a manager I can see why. I will not shop at ANY Lowe's again. read more

Poor customer service. I bought a loaf labeled "sourdough" yesterday, and when I got it home and sliced it open I realized that it was white bread. Came back today and spoke with the young girl in the cheese department who was very kind and helpful, she let me know that they'd be happy to replace it. There was nobody working in the bakery and I was informed that that department was short staffed and they didn't have anybody to work. Upon further inspection, half of the loaves that were the same as the one I bought were labeled sourdough, the other half were labeled as white bread. I confirmed with two employees that it smelled and looked like white bread. The young lady brought me to customer service and I was met with Rebecca who seemed annoyed about my concern. I explained that I wanted to replace it with a different loaf and she sighed at me, and then went to replace the item in the system with a different loaf. Then she informed me that I owed a 76¢ difference to replace the loaf after I drove all the way home with the wrong loaf and had to come back to get it replaced. The item selection in the store is good and the other staff that I spoke with seemed helpful, but Rebecca was incredibly rude and made my experience very uncomfortable. This was such a find!!! I really never got passed their bakery section. I hit this place at the best time. Everything looked amazing and fresh some of their breads were still warm. I had a hard time deciding what to get. I ended up getting a couple of their cheese sticks and salami bread sticks and a loaf of their provolone salami cobblestone savory bread plus a red velvet cake. I am definitely coming here again the next time I am in the area. read more

I really really wanted to like this store. I have shopped in other Lowes and liked the selection. When I heard this store was doing a remodel I was excited. I don't know what the fuss was. Seriously. It looks the same. Ok...the deli area is a little different but nothing big. I am still sooo not impressed with their 'specialty cheese' selection. There is nothing at all 'special' . I went back during this Covid time to try out their curbside. Irdering was easy enough as with other places. Like others, a lot of items can't be found. Where Lowes fails is when you go to pick up the groceries. Unless you remember to download the app & have the time to tell them when you are coming to pick up your order, be prepared to wait a long time. I had to ring that dang bell 5x before it was answered. While I was waiting I watched a bunch of people go in the store WITHOUT A MASK. This does not put me in a happy place. How can they allow this in this day & age of a very contagious virus?? Nope. I cant see myself schlepping to Lowes for a bit. read more

I love the remodeling that they did. The produce section is so much easier to navigate and displays fresh produce very well. I don't like the restaurant style fried chicken it is too salty there and it's terrible. They have amazing cornbread and sides though. Who has tried the Beer Den? that looks awesome . Remember to pick up a few bottles of Texas Pete when you shop here!! They have tasters on Saturday and always have good things on sale. They have added so much since the remodeling took place. Expanded deli, bakery, and meat shop. New deli sandwiches are really good. Ton of new sausage flavored too! Icing made in house fresh. So good. Make sure to check your prices! Item was marked 3.49 scanned at 5.99! Point it out and get the item free. Because they can't marked the clearance right and sometimes the sales tags are old. The employees are all so nice. I like the prepared foods: you can get 2/$5 sausage sandwiches at the Sausage Works and Boar's Head Sandwiches at the deli. Overall prices/sales reasonable. Love it! read more

This is how my Saturdays usually go: NC Farmers Market for all my fruits and veggies, then Trader Joe's for the bulk of my grocery shopping, and then Lowe's Foods -- if necessary -- for the bare handful of items unavailable at Trader Joe's. Lowe's has a larger overall selection than TJ's, obviously, but the prices are higher. A plus is that it's conveniently located near home in a pinch. Lowe's isn't a bad supermarket -- I'd place it higher than a Food Lion or Kroger -- but as I said in another review, I have two words for you: TRADER JOE'S. TJ's satifies nearly all my grocery needs, and for a FRACTION of the Lowe's/Kroger/Harris Teeter, et al, price. read more

Does this supermarket have everything I want? No, but none of them do. You have to shop around. However, this store gets points for local products. There are a lot of local products here. Like BBQ sauce? This is your place. They have a ton of BBQ sauces. The produce department could be better, but I do agree with one reviewer--they do carry local produce. read more

This Lowes has been renovated and love the Barn Yard theme and all the updates! The fresh food section always has a nice selection of fresh cut fruit. The bread and deli section also had plenty of locally baked breads and sandwiches that were pre-made and looked awesome. This location now has the Beer Den and you can get a growler from Lowes and have it filled with all kinds of local craft beer at a minimal price. Everything is clean and fresh and I do like how Lowes has renovated their stores and put more of an emphasis on fresh displays and food preparation. This is just as nice as the one in Cary and love shopping here! read more

For me Lowes is an above-average grocery store. Better than Kroger and much better than Food Lion, but not as good as Harris Teeter. We love hitting the Beer Den on Friday nights! You can purchase a pint to enjoy while getting your growler filled and picking up some groceries. Great selection of beers on tap, great customer service throughout the entire store! Thursday nights are half-price pints! Chris in the beer den is responsible for all of the cool artwork on the draft menu and knows his beers. David and Mark are always helpful and make sure that the store is in top condition. Wes Davis works hard at making sure there are always plenty of grocery carts available for the customers. The store is always clean and they have awesome deals on groceries. read more

I'd especially like to call out the bakery for tasty desserts, and for doing a beautiful job on my son's birthday cake. This Lowes Foods is clean, bright, well-stocked and neatly maintained, with expanded specialty departments including the bakery, meat and deli counters, and even a counter with a selection of taps where you can get growlers of beer filled to order, with a focus on local breweries. In addition to the standard grocery fare they also offer packaged and prepared food items to court the many special-diet trends, including things for people who have given up gluten or taken up the so-called 'paleo' diet (wish vegans and vegetarians got that kind of catering!). This is a follow up to my review 4 weeks ago on the Lowes Foods on Rowlock Way. A rep from Lowes Foods reached out to me as did the store manager. He was very nice and assured me that the problems there were being fixed. So I decided to give them another shot since they are right around the corner and super convenient. So...I stopped in there this weekend to pick up a few things...including one of the boxed salads. As soon as I got home my wife said the salad was wilted and threw it out. And yesterday after work to pick up some items for dinner. I brought everything home and began cooking dinner. One of the items was pork chops which I cook in the oven. I served everything up and both my wife and I took one bite of the pork...we looked at each other and each of us knew that the pork was bad...I mean really bad. Had I cooked it on the stove top I would have noticed...but our oven has a vent so we didn't notice that anything was wrong. The floors are still dirty and the staff sitting out front smoking cigarrettes don't really do much to enhance their image. Of the last 6 times I bought meat at this store it was bad 5 of those times...and I can't remember buying arugula or any other salad where I didn't throw most of it away...and 1 of the 3 apples I bought there this weekend were bad.... I hate writing bad reviews but I feel compelled to warm people about this particular store. I don't recall having bad experiences at any other L'sF's but this one is a public health hazard. read more

Yay! Finally a clean, well stocked, fairly priced grocery store near me. :) I recently moved and have been trying on different stores around me. I finally found a keeper. Of course there will always be things I run down to other stores for, but for my basic grocery shopping and usual round up, this is my new go-to. I love that there's a beer den where you can get a growler filled with one of 8 or 9 local rotating brews. The produce seemed fine as did the meat selection and the store was clean. Used Instacart to shop/deliver from the Lowe's foods on Strickland Rd. Even though I could have shopped elsewhere for cheaper, I chose them because they carry some things I can't easily find anywhere else. They were out of stock on 10 of the 33 items, all of which included the things I can't get elsewhere. I could see if it was a weekend, or an after work rush, but this happened early afternoon on a Tuesday. Also, 80% of the items that were out of stock were not on sale. I will not shop here again, in person or through Instacart, having faith this store can restock their shelves or predict demand between shipments. Intead I will request the items I have a hard time finding from my Harris Teeter store. read more

I recently moved back to the area from Florida. Shopped at Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Kroger. Friends said I had to try Lowe's Food. Beautiful store but otherwise a huge disappointment. Prices were on the high side and items were hard to find. Lots of employees walking around but no one seemed to know where items were. Lots of clapping and celebrating something near the deli. Wanted a rotisserie chicken but no price shown. I asked the lady behind the counter and she said it was on the sign next to me. I said no the sign was for fried chicken. She said "same thing".. Hmmm didn't know that. No one to help bag groceries so I did them myself. No biggie, but for the prices and people walking around, someone could actually work. Handed them my "discount" card back and they called a manager. I told him I didn't need it as I wouldn't be back. He said and I quote "well this store isn't for everyone I guess" Wow.. Really??? I gave it 2 stars because it was clean and "cute". read more

Years ago, this Lowe's was a well-kept secret. It had low prices and it wasn't crowded. Went today for the first time in years. I was shocked by the high prices. They do not carry many of the items I wanted. I can actually get some identical products at Whole Foods cheaper. They double coupons, which is supposed to be a big draw. I have been ripped off by this place twice. There may have been more times I haven't caught. The first time they gave me a full refund for the product and the second time when the same thing happened they only refunded me the difference, so they're policies don't stay the same either apparently. When you purchase something on sale, on your receipt it won't say the sales price.... they cleverly write the original price (for ex. a bottle of wine @13.99) and then a subtraction sign with how much you saved (ex. - 5 in savings). I should have had more than the $5 in savings. I was charged 8.99 when the price of the iten was 6.49. This has happened twice to me. I think it's very deceiving to not put the price you were charged on your receipt. It's easy for a person to look and think, "good, they discounted me because it was on sale" when in actuality I should have had $8 off of the purchase. They need to be consistant in their customer service also. Why 2 different responses for the same problem? According to their website I was supposed to get a full refund and also the same item given to me for free. Bring your service somewhere else. read more
