We stopped in for a beer on our way to dinner and was very happy we did. There is a bit of an industrial feel to this shop with a warm and welcoming feel to it as well. The long bar has plenty of seating, we found a comfortable little couch near the entrance to sit at. They have PLENTY of very unique and great tasting beers to choose from, so which ever side of the scale your drinking on I am sure you will find something. They also have a selection of bottled beer on the shelves for sale. I prefer a dark and complicated beer, something that taste like anything but the typical BEER and they had just the thing for me. From founders brewing, it was a flavored stout called KBS and it was ale brewed with chocolate and coffee and aged in bourbon barrels. We purchased the remainder of what they had in stock on the way out. Shortly after we arrived the live music started up, a very talented musician who also had a very good voice and excellent selection of songs he sang. We will be returning very soon. Cheers!

This is one of the first bottle shops I came to when we moved to the area a few years ago. This is the second of two Crafty locations, the other is in Five Points in Raleigh if I'm not mistaken. They always have a great selection of local and out of state craft beers. If you prefer a foreign beer, they have offerings from many producers from a England, Belgium, Germany, Ireland and so on. They also have a nice rotating selection of drafts that change monthly. The interior is nicely decorated and they are plenty of places to sit and enjoy a pint or two. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside or, enjoy your beer with takeout from one of the many restaurants in Lafayette Village. And, if you enjoy playing Golden Tee (online video golf game), they have one on site. Definitely stop by if you're in LV.

Updated decor, less shelving, mor seating.

I've made a check-in that shows the substitution of beer shelving and coolers 4 customer seating areas. This is the latest trend for crafty. They are going less bottle shop and More bar. Kirk and Jason are very attentive barkeeps and keep their noses to the new brewery trends. The draft selection reflects well-rounded beer menu. You can still purchase beer off the shelf, but the choices are a quarter of what they used to be. They also have a $2 corking fee 4 the cold choices in the fridge.

Chocolate peanut butter porter

I agree with the relaxed atmosphere that folks have pointed out. I asked if there was any Saranac, but selection was very limited, they didn't have any of the caramel porter I was longing for, but I was pointed toward a chocolate peanut butter porter that was excellent. The "bartender" (for lack of a better term) pointed out the "Untapd" app, but since my phone is too old, I could not install it. Great location, pretty good craft beer selection.

One of my favorite spots in Raleigh. Kirk, part owner and bartender, is awesome. He has a great personality and is so customer-driven. I hadn't been in a while and felt bad because I love supporting this business. The beer selection is varied and solid. The staff is knowledgeable. They get in great music talent and for a small place it's never too loud.

This is a nice shop in Lafayette Village and is unique because it is the only bottle shop in this area. The beer selection is good with many local NC options. There are some international beers as well and it is nicely laid out with visible shelves and ordered by name of the brand/brewery. There is a bar and a large TV screen that shows the drafts with the names and prices. I thought the draft price was a little on the pricey side compared to other bottle shops and bars. A pint of AleSmith on draft was $7 for example and I guess I am used to the $4-5 range. It is quiet, clean and an overall nice bottle shop.

Yum. A mango habanero cider!!! super good Great Taste and Goes Down Smooth.

Bartender was very nice. Great atmosphere to come and have a great day. Lots on tap always changing so that's always great. Stop in and have a drink be happy and treat people kind. Have a great experience!

Hand crafted ale is delicious @craftylafayette. Ample parking, big screens, comfy seats, friendly folks and good times.

Great selection, and super chill atmosphere. I found a few beers here that have been tough to find, and the layout makes it easy to shop.

I dropped by one afternoon to check out this new pub in North Raleigh and I was delighted to find…read morehow cozy it was and how hospitable and sweet the owners, Kevin and Stephanie, are. The decor in The Winchester Pub is unique in the fact that they don't have all the stereotypical, tacky beer signage that others have and the bar is completely handmade by Kevin himself (it's gorgeous). Their selection of beers on tap is primo -- you won't see any of the over-served blah beers of other bars. Instead, you'll find a finely curated selection that boasts a variety of tastes. If you're not into beer, there are also a few bottles of wine you can choose to have a glass of. There's a small selection of canned brews you can purchase from the display case in the front of the pub, back of the pub, and in the refrigerated unit in the rear, as well as cider, spiked coffee malt beverages, alcoholic seltzers, and beer kegs. Surprisingly, there's even some bagged coffee! If you fancy bringing some pub merch home, there are branded mugs for sale. Above the bar, there are mounted TV screens, perfect for enjoying local sports games (especially European soccer matches on the weekends). Plenty of backed barstools surround the bar, and there's a line of round, leather-topped stools along the back wall. If stools aren't your cup of tea, there are two cozy leather couches you can lounge on: one in the front (by the entrance) and one in the back (next to a pool table)! If you're not craving any booze, there's a water cooler in the front of the pub and canned sodas in the fridge (Sprite and Coke). If you're feeling playful, there are couple of board games on the one of the beer display shelves by the entrance (beneath the framed red jersey). I'm more of a cider kind of girl, so Kevin suggested a fantastic, locally-owned cider out of Pittsboro, NC: "Chatham Cider Works Highway 64". It was sweet, light, bubbly, and strong, especially at 10% ABV (so, watch out!). My husband and I both sampled the "Fullsteam Igor Cake" Pastry Stout (9% ABV), which was super sweet. Hubby ended up ordering the "Casita Home Sweet Home" Imperial Stout (10% ABV), which had a cake-like flavor, was super smooth, and not too sweet. No foods are currently served here, but there are some snacks for sale behind the bar and you are more than welcome to bring in your own noms to accompany any drinks your order. From the cooler, I bought and tried: - Brown Bomber Mocha Hard Latte - flavored malt beverage (5% ABV) made with 100% Arabica coffee and milk. It's recommended to shake well and serve over ice. It was soooo creamy, chocolatey, and delicious -- you can't even tell that there is alcohol in it! - Brown Bomber Vanilla Hard Latte - same as the previous, but vanilla-flavored - Sound Craft Rosé Seltzer (5% ABV) - super smooth and tasting of freshly pressed blackberries, I could not tell that there was alcohol in it! If you're looking for a cozy spot to throw back a pint as you unwind from work, you've found the perfect place!

Pub is tricky to find, so make sure you drive down the hill and behind the main mall. But it is so…read moresmall. I came for a World Cup match. I wanted a great soccer oriented environment. Despite arriving over an hour before the match started, every seat at the bar was already taken. And there are no tables so if you aren't fortunate enough to get a bar seat, you're SOL. I saw one or two bar patrons eyeing me weirdly, like I was invading their home space. So I decided to just leave. Per the online menu, they do have over a dozen drafts available, but I didn't get to try any of them. So disappointing.

While I did not check out the live bait selection this time, the wine portion was fantastic. Situated a stones throw off of 540 in Raleigh, this store is super convenient if you are driving through as I am often doing from the Triad to the Eastern part of the state. I had heard of Taylor's from a podcast, and finally made it into the store. The state was super friendly and was excited to be able to help me out with a few suggestions for a party I was going to! Just a great selection of things that are unique and the gentleman helping me knew about multiple bottles he showed me. Certainly go in and have a conversation with them and you may come out with something new you really enjoy! I will be returning when I am traveling 540 and I would be at Taylor's constantly if I lived in the area!!
