I have had the best service transferring my prescriptions from my mail order pharmacy to this Harris Teeter. The star of the story is Trish in Pharmacy who helped me on the phone Monday and today Wednesday. As promised, she kept track of the prescriptions as they came in, double checked that everything was OK and did so cheerfully. There was one prescription I was hesitant to transfer due to the lengthy process it took to get approved. Tricia told me what she could do and when and how I could cancell it if I wanted to keep it at the old, bad place. I mean talk about above and beyond, this was surprise and delight! The rest of the store was clean, well organized and filled with really friendly folk. I left another Harris Teeter because I could not say nice things about their service. Had I known how great this store and Tricia are, I could have saved myself the hassle of the mail order pharmacy and supported Harris Teeter as their company values mean a lot to me. Again, Tricia is a perfect example of why Harris Teeter is worth supporting despite the bad service at the Whitstone Way store. read more

Harris Teeter is our go to grocery store in Canton. We did some price and quality comparison work pre-pandemic between target, Whole Foods, Safeway, and Harris Teeter. While it is cheaper to shop at Safeway and target overall, the price difference was pretty minimal. And the quality at Harris Teeter was significantly better. While the overall quality at Whole Foods was better than Harris Teeter, the prices were simply exorbitant, and the difference was not worth the extra cost. We haven't performed this experiment after the pandemic or with the new sprouts yet. The biggest issue with the next closest/best price to quality option, Safeway, is that the fresh produce is slightly better at Harris Teeter and the meat/fish selections are significantly better at Harris Teeter. read more

I like this Harris Teeter. As grocery stores go, I think it's a notch above the rest. I love a grocery store with a good food bar/salad bar/olive bar. This has those things. I also like that I can grab some lunch meat when I'm feeling a sandwich (boar's head that's pre-sliced and ready to go). Plus, there always seems to be a sale on BACON! And who doesn't love bacon. They've got a sushi bar, fresh veggies, plenty of meats, and fresh flowers. My only gripe is that there never seems to be enough lanes open. There's always a line. I've never had to wait too long, but I've never gone and been able to immediately check out. read more

I love this supermarket. It's spacious, clean and organized. My favorite thing is how coupons and discounts are always updated and entered automatically (can't tell you how many times I've shopped at competitors and they forget or fail to discount things at check out). It smarts when you purchase a product specifically because it's on sale and then the discounted price doesn't ring at the register and you kick yourself once you get home. I also love how the email deals are targeted to past purchases. The staff is always nice and helpful. It's great they have cleaning wipes and sanitizer as soon as you enter to wipe down your shopping carts. My only gripe is their gas points program is with BP (boooooo!) read more

This is my second time in this store and I love it. Its right down the street from my sons job, that's how I discovered it. It's a bit pricey compared to the other grocery stores that I frequent, Aldis, Shoppers, and Weis. I like to walk around to see what different items I find, that's normally hard to find at the other stores I visit. Today I found key limes, sugar cane stick my favorite, being though I'm a southern girl, and pomegranate, which is very hard to find especially when it's out of season, it's actually a winter fruit, I keep being told by the grocery produce workers. read more

The upside of grocery shopping in the evening is fewer crowds and lines and less maneuvering through carts and people down aisles, pretending to be interested in what's stocked next to what you actually need where someone else is standing. The downside is fewer cash registers and employees lining all the floor space with pallets of stuff to stock. This Harris Teeter is fairly large, has a great selection of groceries that are well stocked, and is very clean. However, I don't like that they were selling tons and tons of extremely overripe avocados on the cheap. Just lightly touch one and you've poked your finger through the skin. It was hard to maneuver through some of the aisles but I made do. I didn't see any samples that they usually have, but maybe it's too late for that. The seafood employees were cleaning up and hosing down the seafood displays--looked entertaining enough. The bakery/deli employees were loudly hooting and hollering on several occasions. So much commotion from what looked like only two (overly excited) youth. Several employees greeted me (Tiffini and a teenager wiping down the salad bar whose name I didn't catch) when I passed by, which is nice to feel acknowledged. The neighborhood seemed safe and the immediate outside was well lit. There was a security guard chatting up the cashier. My cashier was very low energy and not particularly engaged. Oddly enough I was perkier than usual and would have reacted favorably to a hello or good evening. I would come back to this location. read more

I've done some grocery shopping at this Harris Teeter store when I've been shopping in the area for other things (Michael's mostly), and it's a pretty nice store. Way too out of the way to be my everyday grocery store (we live in Hampden) but it's definitely nicer than many of other grocery stores in the city. Large, high ceilings, good selection. This is not my usual Harris Teeter, but it functions just as well as the McHenry Row location. My only complaint is that this particular location is bigger and laid out differently than what I'm used to so navigating to what I wanted took more effort than normal (but still not much!). I was able to find what I needed fairly easily, though I was stunned by the price - $10 for vanilla extract??? C'mon! This harris teeter has the best butter croissants than other Harris Teeters (e.g., harris teeters in Harrison shopping center, Ballston, and falls church in VA)! in fact, i think their butter croissants are definitely the best compared with other fancy grocery stores, and even better than many bakery stores!!! In my humble but accurate opinion, croissants should be buttery and full of life. Their croissants are healthier version of perfect croissants (translate: it could use more butter), and somewhat lively (translate: not 100% full of life). However, for $0.99, it's prob one of the best deals in DMV - unless you are lucky enough to live in Manhattan or have the luxury to go to Manhattan every morning to get croissants there. DO NOT ORDER FOR HARRIS TEETER RED TRUCK DELIVERY. I ordered on Monday only available delivery day was Wednesday so I get a text message and Wednesday morning with arrival time so they show up the driver's are professional and courteous so I get my groceries in and put away then get an alert from bank for a charge from so I think it was just the original bill. I go online and see that it's $55.68 higher than original. No substitute or put of stock items the order was just as I ordered. Call their BS customer service they told me that it was because new sale started that day I asked why I wasn't informed before the delivery was made or when they arrived she said something about it don't update til after delivery is accepted. Offered a store credit I told her I don't want a credit because of what they did was probably illegal bait and switch and was put on hold immediately. She got back on the line and said she referred it to fulfillment center and gave a reference number and said it could take up to 7 days and to have a good day but didn't say 7 days for refund or 7 days for someone to contact me. read more

Good selection, friendly staff. Prices are a little higher than Target and Safeway for some items but think the produce and selection is overall better! Their store brand items are really good and I often prefer them over the National brands. Don't forget the $11.99 lobster dinner on Wednesdays and $9.99 prime rib dinner on Thursdays. Had an awful encounter at this store where a crazy person was threatening me for picking up a steak. The young store employees had no idea what to do and were standing around watching. When I asked one to get a manager the manager came over and talked to the woman who was literally out of her mind go off on some rant. Instead of them escorting the person out of the store or calling police for inappropriate behavior in the store their solution was to supervise the both of us while shopping. I did not feel safe remaining in the store with their lack of handling the situation. At no point did the manager even try to speak with me about my experience after being railroaded by the crazy woman who was seemingly in a manic state. read more

I can't comment on the grocery store aspect, but it is a good option as a quick lunchtime spot for those of us who do not have time to sit down and order at a real restaurant. Harris Teeter's hot bar is not as big as the smorgasbord that Wegmans puts out; it is probably on par with Bezos' Whole Foods hot bar ($9 per pound, FYI). The real deal here is the $4 made-to-order sandwich at the deli counter. I find that getting in there around 11:30 avoids the lunch rush. read more

After spending almost 10 years shopping almost exclusively at Safeway in California, I am overjoyed to discover Harris Teeter, and one that is super close to me at that. I would summarize this place as the less snobby version of Whole Foods. There is an excellent selection of groceries, fresh food items, multiple types of food bars, and even some patio furniture if you're in need of that. There's a Starbucks on premise as well, which is handy because I don't think this particular plaza has a Starbucks and I'm too lazy to go down the road. Much like the other Harris Teeter location, this place provides me a wide variety of food options. And that's saying something, because I am super picky with the food I eat. A 15 minute uber ride got be here, although it would have been a faster commute had I brought my car from Los Angeles. This location, much like the other one, is in a nice and safe part of town. There is security on site, so no need to worry about bad characters. This time around, I stocked up on a whole bunch of stuff (check pics). Now that I will be grilling more often, I bought some spices, some turkey burger patties, eggs, and bread. I bought two slices or gormet cheese, and they taste fantastic with the turkey and beef burgers. Of course, I need to add some fruit into the mix, and bought some nectarines and peaches. Good thing those are in season. The whole experience was great. The staff is always helpful, and check out went smoothly. I will be repeating. read more

This is my go-to grocery store even though I'm closer to the Safeway in Canton. The store is large with wide aisles and great selection. The produce has been consistently good, and while their sushi isn't restaurant-grade, I get it frequently and enjoy it. I love that it has a Coinstar and PNC ATM inside the store. I get seafood here about once a week, and the salmon and shrimp have always been fresh. The location is fantastic since there is a Target, Ulta, DSW, several restaurants, a quality liquor store, Petco, and Nordstrom Rack all in the same complex. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that none of the employees enforce the mask mandate if there are customers who blatantly come in without them. I get that it may not be the job of the folks working the floor because they have enough to do, but I would appreciate if the managers addressed it. read more

I enjoy shopping at this grocery store they always offering BIGI deals and one of my favorite Buy One Get One is on their bakery treats. Their fancy slices of cake generally cost $1.99 each. However, with a BIGI sale that's one dollar a slice. Good deal, I know right! This even have a hot and cold food bar in the deli section. They also offer a small dine-in space eatery with free wifi and television access located beside, the Starbucks inside the store. It's super clean and organized, the selection is always fresh, the customer service is fantastic, and the hours are great! Came here about two weeks ago on a Saturday with my parents. This was a large market. My dad doesn't like to do much walking so I purchased him something off of the food bar ( chicken wing, mac and cheese and corn) and he sat in the eating area and ate that while mom and I shopped. They had samples of watermelon and cantaloupe that were so fresh we had to purchase one of each. It was just that sweet. I purchased a crab cake that was just $4.99 and for the price it really was not bad. I was satisfied with every purchase that I made. Dang... this place is pretty cool. For some reason, I was thought Harris Teeter would be pretty expensive, but prices here are actually reasonable. Organic foods are relatively cheaper than at other competitors, many good deals are available though the vic card, and prepared foods are tasty and affordable. Free samples are offered throughout the store and staff are friendly. Checking out and paying is definitely faster than at Safeway. read more

This supermarket is clean and neat every time I go there. They have a great selection of grocery items and the prices are affordable. The deli, meat and seafood department are wonderful and have fast service. Be sure to sign up for the VIC card with your email so you can get notified of the best deals and even free items. The other neat thing they offer is express pick up lane. I hate to wait for deliveries so this is a great option. You place an order online then drive to the curb and they will load it into you car - no need to go into the store. read more

This is my preferred Harris Teeter in the city, only because it's in the "calm" area of this box store plaza. Who knows how long this will last since Nordstrom Rack and Crunch Fitness are coming, but I'm riding this as long as I can. It's a traditional, huge supermarket. I do prefer something smaller, but sometimes it's nice to walk around this place in a childhood, shopping-with-my-mom, nostalgia way. I get better vibes here than I do at the Locust Point Harris teeter. It is still extremely overpriced. I frequently just walk right on over from Target after getting the things I need for less money, but I like to get a loaf of bread here. It's not excellent bread but it does the job. It seems pretty fresh baked. I do really like the produce section here for some reason, but just to look around: I rarely buy anything because I know I can get it for less elsewhere. BUT. This place has the ever-elusive organic milk with lactase added. This is my backup place when my usual place closer to home is unavailable. I've heard the grocery delivery service here is good. Baltimore grocery stores typically suck, but this place is pretty awesome. This Harris Teeter is new and shiny, which already leagues better in potentially every way. The best thing about it, hands down, is the fact that it's well stocked and huge - you can find literally everything you could possibly want here, meaning that it's remarkably easy to find more arcane ingredients or items. The only real complaint I'd have here is price - it's a bit on the high end, even as compared to other Harris Teeters. read more

Wow, what an amazing store!! The organic section of fruits and veggies is phenomenal!! They sell Boar's head meats and cheeses at the deli, and ......THEY HAVE SUSHI! I have not been to a store that has sushi (real stuff not California rolls)...in a LONG time. I certainly will be back to try some of the sushi for lunch or a snack. They had a display case that had big sides of beef that you could order what cut you wanted, and they would cut it right there in front of you!!! The selection of sauces, and seasonings, was superb. The store was huge, yet had a very warm and intimate feel to it. The location happens to be RIGHT next to Target, and both of them RIGHT next to the Baltimore Harbor. I'm sad to say that most of my Harris Teeter experiences are 3 stars or less but this is a 2 for me. Where is all of the food? I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and while they were restocking the shelves, the popular items were out. This includes for organic food which there is a lack of in every store. In addition there are no vegan and rarely dairy free items. I have written and tweeted to harris teeter trying to get some new products in and I haven't gotten any response. I would have a preferred a 'no' over just being ignored for years. This grocery store is also way more expensive and I don't think the quality is very good. I go to safeway over this any day of the week. read more

Spent $100 on groceries and got incredible local fresh and organic vegetables; 2 fillets of wild Alaskan Salmon (the most expensive item I purchased there at $10); FAGE Total (I love that fat!) at $6.50 (Safeway sells it for $8); fresh fruit (cherries, blueberries, Bosc pears); Hot House and Roma tomatoes; Butter - you name it, and all at a price that's affordable (unlike the Whole Foods Cultists who can afford, I suppose, to pay exorbitant prices for a fraction of what I picked up at Teeter.
