As Wegmans go, this store is just as organized and stocked as the rest. I love Wegmans but there's not one close to my house so this is the one I come to when I'm at my partners. We were here to pick up last minute goods for a graduation party. But let's talk about the little sandwiches and rolls they made in the catering department. Those things were delicious! They put them together to perfection, they were ready on time, and they were delicious! We had steak, chicken, and tuna salad little sandwiches on croissants. I'm definitely going to order from Wegmans again, especially those items. They were perfect! But back to the store itself. They will pretty much have everything you need. They have some of my favorite items like frozen jasmine rice in individual packets. You can get them in white or brown. They're both delicious. I also love the frozen vegetables. They have the best selection of frozen vegetables. Especially frozen spinach. Most grocery stores only give you the champ. Spinach, Wegmans will give you the whole leaf frozen spinach. I love that. We visited the cafe portion of the market for lunch. There are so many options!! It was a little overwhelming at first but I'd go again and try different things. I shopped at Wegmans for the first time ever while on a work trip in Maryland. WOW, this store was massive and had everything from lawn chairs to Ravens gear. I needed a few items for my two day trip. I purchased an olive medley, precut fruit, bananas, Pepsi and flavored pretzels. These items would help me survive two days of conference room meetings. If you come later in the evening, I was there at 9 PM, you won't find much in the way of grab and go items in the bakery or produce sections. I used self checkout which was fast and easy. Great pharmacy, they've had everything I've needed thus far, including a prescription that I thought they might not be able to fill. In the times I've needed to call and ask questions, I was only on hold for at most 5 minutes and usually less than that. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and keep things flowing smoothly, even when there's a line waiting for people to pick up or drop off prescriptions. I've never had an issue there, and it's become my number one local pharmacy for non-mail-order prescriptions. I highly recommend visiting here, as it makes dropping off and picking up prescriptions easier. You can even do your grocery shopping while waiting for your prescription to be filled. read more

Came in on a quick trip. I only needed a few items to hold me over until the weekend and I was in the area so I stopped at Wegmans. Luckily it was not very crowded inside the store was clean. I did have to use the restroom while I was there and it was very clean. It was easy to locate the items I needed because it has a very similar layout to the Wegmans, I usually go to. They had plenty of cash register open, I like the fact that you have digital coupons so I clipped a few before I went in to save five dollars. The best kept secret is a Wegmans sub!! The bread is always fresh, the meats are quality, and you can get any veggies you like. I visit this Wegman's pretty regularity whenever I am in town. The only other location I'm familiar with is the one in Hunt Valley, MD. And I think both locations have pros and cons. The parking lot is a bit of a beast to navigate at this location so be mindful and maybe park a bit further away if you want to avoid the chaos during peak times. The prepared food section is quite robust with fresh salads, sandwiches, soup and more. There's also sushi, a bakery, various proteins and sides to grab if you want an easy dinner. I love the steamed shrimp but it is PRICEY. The snickerdoodle cookies are also impossible to say no to. Unfortunately, the produce often isn't very fresh which feels very un-Wegmans like. I also find the lighting at this location to be much too dim and, as a person with light and sound hypersensitivity, that's unusual for me to say. Surely there's a better balance without going to the crazy bright and blinding fluorescents. Lastly, I have never had outstanding customer service here. I'm usually not greeting while entering or exiting the store, cashiers and those managing the self checkout also don't offer greetings. It's all very matter of fact; not unfriendly but also not friendly if that makes sense. I appreciate that you can grab basics as well as other less known (but still delicious) brands/options. We're new to Baltimore and the East Coast, and we just made our first trip to Wegman's to shop. I'd been hearing about it since we moved here, and we finally made the trek from Hampden. The store is huge (it reminded me a little of HEB from back home). The produce section was kind of a bummer (lots of things sold out and some didn't look great), but the store made up for it in other areas - sushi, meat, cheese, bakery, etc. (We had plans to go out to dinner but stayed in for dinner after we saw their sushi department - so many choices and the fish looked so fresh!) It was fun to shop here. They have a random miniature train in the air above the dairy section?! Other than the produce section (might have just been a bad day/time), the store impressed. It's a little far for us to go for our regular shopping. But I'll happily return to shop here again as a treat! read more

I love this wegmans! The store is very clean and organized. The workers are so pleasant and helpful. I usually come here every month. They have a deli, pizza shop, and a pharmacy. The pharmacy staff are amazing! There have plenty of parking spots at this location. The bakery/ desserts are very nice. The prices aren't much higher than any other place. They also have wegmans brand products which are sometimes cheaper. Overall I think it's a great place to shop. Someone is alway willing to help you. read more

Today, I have to give Wegman's 1 star! I just finished an "organic" Wegman brand chicken thigh and had to spit it out! I have a very sensitive palate and can detect instantly the quality of food and the degree to which it is all-natural, fresh, or uncontaminated by gastric system-offensive agents. My stomach felt terrible and I grew nauseated after just one bite! I should've known that there'd be an issue bc the thighs were unusually plump and much larger than most organic chicken pieces. I was told by a meat dept worker at Sprouts store that organic chicken pieces may be large if they come from older chickens. That might be the case with the Wegman's brand organic chicken". That would explain the queasy feeling I experienced after the one bite. I would say this was just a fluke or a result of my sensitive stomach except for one fact....I had this same adverse reaction after taking one bite of store brand chicken I purchased from TraderJoe's in Owings Mills/ Pikesville. The TJ brand legs I purchased over this past summer were also unusually large and quite plump to be "organic". I'd boiled the legs in soup and the soup tasted weird and the chicken meat upset my tummy. The Wegman's brand thigh which disturbed me was purchased two days ago. I had it today after pan-sautéing it so this nausea is not a result of how I cooked the meat. I always fully cook chicken and have never experienced this problem with other brands of organic poultry seafood or beef! Organic chicken pieces are usually smaller than non-organic bc the organic pieces come from chicks that have not been raised on high calorie diets that cause the chicks to experience high weight gain and become more marketable. Size (as are color and shape in the case of fresh fruits and vegetables) is telltale when it comes to organic chicken. I am no expert, and perhaps experts would disagree with my take on this, but my presently upset gut knows the truth! No more generic, oversized store brand poultry for me!! The Wegmans in Owings Mills is the reason why my rent went up (that's literally what my leasing office said when I inquired about the 12% increase) so I had to see what the hype was about on opening day. I went around 9AM. Traffic was flowing well and I got a parking spot within minutes. Perfect. I specifically came here for cotton candy grapes. Turns out they're out of season. No obsessively sweet grapes for me. Wasn't interested in wandering around due to the crowd. I had no idea the store was packed based on how easy it was to find parking. Later on that evening I remembered that there was a burger restaurant there and I was craving a turkey burger so back to Wegmans I went. Easy parking once again. I spent my twenty minute wait writing this review and aimlessly walking the aisles and taking pictures. Came across the snack and candy section conveniently placed by the registers. I love to snack so I got some power trail mix and pineapple tidbits (SO GOOD). All of the cashier lanes were open (take notes Walmart). My cashier, Dai, unfortunately did not know how to work her register. Once a coworker assisted her she started to ring up my snacks but she didn't know what products they were. I get it. There's 100 trail mixes. It's your first day. You won't know it all. Buzzer goes off, burger is ready! Got mine to go and devoured it upon arrival. My burger was WELL worth the wait. I would have waited 30-40 minutes for it. That's how good it was. The sweet potato fries were nothing short from amazing either. Looking forward to trying out the other burgers. I've never done any actual grocery shopping in a Wegmans before. A quick bottle of water or pre-made sushi rolls has always been my route. The store is massive and quite overwhelming. I love Wegmans. I did not love this location. Traffic was awful! Even with police at each entrance/exit it was a hassle to enter the stores parking lot. I wonder if they plan to have police, guards and employees outside directing traffic all the time or was it only for the grand opening. Once I located parking I excitedly headed inside. An employee was collecting carts and the shopper in front of me grabbed one from him and he seemed annoyed. I didn't want to annoy the cart gatherer any further so I asked if it was ok if I take one, he said yes but then quickly got on his walkie/talkie to tell someone he couldn't bring the carts in bc customers were grabbing them?!? So after I grabbed my cart I was off, this place was packed. I couldn't visit every section due to the crowds. I did walk every aisle and tried to take in as much as I could. I thought the store would be setup similar to the Hunt Valley location but to my disappointment it was not. I picked up several items and will return because of my love for Wegmans and its specialty products. One of the items I picked up was labeled as Fresh chicken wings, however, when I arrived home to prep them for dinner they were actually frozen in some parts. I'm assuming the temperature of the case they were being stored in needs some adjusting. I look forward to my next visit with hopefully less crowds. read more

This just might be my favorite grocery store in the area! It's always clean and well stocked. The selection of produce and fresh meat are hard to beat at any other chain. I love the variety of prepared food and selections of items for you to prepare. And don't even get me started on the delicious bakery items...those chocolate chip goodies are sooo good. So the price may vary based on how much you want to eat. I mush mashed thai, indian, Chinese. It cost me around $13 for little of chicken curry, pork fried rice, noodles, general TSO chicken, orange chicken and stir fried beef. So I would say that it's a great price. Everything tasted delicious. They have a nice seating area as well. So it's a nice place to dine in. I am frequented this Wegmans since opening day! I was there and it has always been amazing. I am indeed a seafood lover and their seafood section is to die for! I often get the shrimp, salmon and catfish. Really expensive but who is counting pennies if you want great seafood! I'd rather pay then get it home and be disappointed. I also look at my Wegmans big when it comes in the mail for the latest sales. I'm a "1.99" shopper so I love those sales. Today Cran-Apple/Grape juices was in sale for $1.99 . I purchased 6 total. Apparently this particular wegmans does not cater to handicap persons ~ they almost NEVER have electric shopping carts. I've asked ~ they have 6. There are more than three dozen handicap spaces.
