Bakery... absolutely the best donuts and baked goods however.... There is absolutely no consistency whatsoever with product or timing. When asking when something may be ready you get "10 minutes" and 30 mins later still waiting... sad. Used the seafood counter for Super Bowl get together and while the shrimp were cooked perfectly and food tasted amazing they "forgot" they had to make 2 platters not just one. So had to wait for that to cook then they couldn't find a platter to use with the shrimp so just asked them to bag. Again ... sad. My mom could call me anytime after I get off work and 9 times out of 10, I'd be at the Weis Market on Joppa Road near Belair Road. I have multiple grocery store locations near my home and this is my favorite one. I can depend on Weis to handle all of my needs. I've bought everything from fresh cut meats to amazing smelling soaps that I've purchased for Christmas gifts. Just this evening, I spent almost an hour perusing the aisles for Thanksgiving items and just had fun listening to the store's music and seeing what's on sale. They have one of the best International aisles and I found new and exciting items that I would've had to go to a specialty store to find. The seafood is the best on this side of town. There is always a sale on fresh shrimp and frozen seafood goods. They have tasty wing dings that I always miss! But they are kosher friendly, vegan friendly, and...just overall friendly! Mr. Ed in the seafood department is the sweetest, nicest guy. I've never had a bad experience here. Visit the surrounding markets in this area, then come to this location and tell me which one you think is better! read more

I have been coming to do my bi-weekly grocery shopping here for over two years. I still get kind of excited by the idea of coming here for several reasons. First, there is always parking and plenty of smaller sized shopping carts. The store is clean and well-lit. The food selection is always impressive from the sushi, the cheese, to the baked goods-- I always enjoy seeing what Weis has in stock. If you need help finding something there is usually a helpful employee nearby who is able to help you. Their prices are just OK-- this is not Aldi. But if you can use coupons and shop the sales there are deals to be had here. Thanks, Weis in Towson, for being such a great neighborhood grocery store. Had the WORST experience of my life today at Weis 7927 Belair Rd Nottingham MD!!! Accused of shoplifting from self checkout a few cans of 60 cent catfood and a $3 headband for my daughter. The "store security" and I use that term very loosely was very aggressive and rude!!!!! I explained to the "security" that I am a nurse and work night shift and have not slept in almost 3 days and nothing was not scanned intentionally and that the self checkout sucks!! He also tried to tell me had had to come with him and give him my identification which is ILLEGAL!!! 911 was called by myself (unsure if he called as well). Also asked him why if I wasn't scanning things noone offered to help me to which he replied "Uh...It's called self checkout for a reason!" He checked all bags and out of a $99.00 order less than $10 wasn't scanned. 1 red pepper was even scanned, 1!! e hare a family of 6 and spend at least $700 a month in this store, well NOT anymore after being completely embarrassed and hysterical in tears after working all night taking care of others! COOPERATE CALLED. It's a shame because I loved shopping there before today!!! He also told my mother she couldn't leave which is apparently illegal since he isn't law inforcement. He accused me of stealing everything he checked off on my receipt then ended up returning it as he realized it was scanned. In the end I missed 3 60 cent cans of cat food 1 $2 bag of croutons and 1 $3 headband. So he recovered $6.80 out of a $99 order, makes no sense read more

The employees usually look like they'd rather be dead than help you but I'm always nice. I went in with a friend to buy something at the customer service desk. They were helping another guest we waited in line patiently while there was 5 employees behind the counter. We waited for about 15 minutes and another man comes up and they take him right away even though we had very clearly been standing there for over 15 minutes! We walked out we knew they saw us too just didn't care and took somebody else instead. Always rude like we're interrupting employees conversations and it always smells like rotten fish inside! read more

This is a review for the Bakery only as I shop for groceries elsewhere. They have a huge selection. Cookies, cakes, donuts, muffins, etc. There are some beautiful cakes in the case that are done by someone with a lot of talent! I like that they offer satin whip icing as well as buttercream. The cakes are always moist. I have purchased my the last several years worth of birthday cakes for my kids here and have always been pleased! They have a ton of themed cakes to choose from that always look amazing. Anytime I've grabbed something when the bakery staff is gone, the items are still fresh. read more

This is a great, clean store to shop at and they have convenient hours (no longer 24-hours). The doughnuts at this particular bakery are amazing and way better than any other Weis store. I'm looking at you, Honeygo. Every time I bring them into the office, I get compliments from several coworkers wondering where the delicious doughnuts came from! Especially, the Bavarian Creme. Way better than Dunkin' Donuts! So you might be wondering, why only three stars? I feel that's actually generous. The night staff with exception of maybe two, have taken a sharp nose dive in customer service. They don't care much for greeting and act like you're bothering them or trying to steal something when you check out. One time recently, I had placed a red potato on scanner as soon as I hit the look-up button some woman (I assume she runs shelf check out?) came over asking me if I found it yet. I'm serious. I had just started. There's a polite way to do this and then there's her way. She's there most nights now. I'm assuming she's new. I've also noticed they don't carry several small items that I can find at the Safeway up the street that I don't like going to because they have even worse staff. For instance, they have a wide variety of almond milk but don't carry unsweetened almond milk. I'll make a suggestion to them. I recommend you come here but don't expect them to roll out the red carpet of customer service for you! read more

Stopped by this grocery store on my way home from a business meeting. I had noticed their ad and had decided to run in and get some of their specials on my way home. I do not have a Weis in my local shopping area. Where you first walk in they have a nice refrigerated selection of items you usually need to grab when you are shopping ....like milk and eggs. I needed both of those and that made things easier. No hike to the back of the store. Also I wanted some fresh vegetables and the produce area was right there. They had Perdue Oven Stuffers on sale and to my delight they were also right up front as you entered in a nice chest. I needed just a few more items from the ad and they were also on display in the front. They had plenty of everything I needed that was on sale. I absolutely hate it when you go to a grocery store on the first day of the sale and they are out of everything you wanted. Our local store does that all the time. It is a running joke as we make our list the night before that they are probably already out of the items on our list! I got a Weis card and checked out. There were many cashiers available and I was out of there in a hurry. I was rushing home for that early 7:00 kick off of Monday Night Football. Thanks to the store's set up everything on my list was crossed out quickly and I did not have to wander around a new store trying to find the items. I usually avoid going to new grocery stores cause you feel so lost wandering around looking for your items. This was a pleasant stop for me and when in the area again I will be sure to give Weis another try. read more

I come to this grocery store quite often they have great sales but you have to watch the weekly flyer. Of all the grocery stores I shop at on a regular basis this was the only one that had the Caramel Apple ham I wanted to do something different for my family for Christmas and I thought this would definitely be a crowd pleaser. The customer service here is always wonderful if there's something you need a rain check for don't hesitate to go to the customer service desk and they'll be more than glad to give you a rain check. They have a great seafood department and their snacks are wonderful as well today I picked up kicking jalapeno popcorn that will be different for snack tonight with a movie. There's plenty of parking here and it is conveniently located to one of my favorite places Starbucks. read more

People who abuse power with poor customer service should not be a manager of a grocery store. Annette at Weis Joppa Rd Nottingham Mdd On Saturday I spoke with a manager at Weis on Joppa rd. in Nottingham and requested boxes. I have been coming to this store for many years and until this past year it was always a great store. Today is the last straw. As I mentioned I spoke with the manager on duty and requested boxes to use for closing my store in the shopping center. He told me there was a delivery tonight(Sat 4/1/2017) and to pick them up tomorrow when the store was open. I went their and now one was aware of me asking for boxes to be saved. They contacted someone from dairy and they had boxes. Then another employee showed me a stack of boxes in the grocery area. As I was taking the second load of boxes out a woman stopped me asking me why I was taking her boxes in a very demanding tone. I explained that I spoke to the manager last night and asked for boxes and he told me they were getting a delivery latter and would have them save me the boxes. These were the boxes I was told to take. She then asked who told you to take these they should not have given you these boxes. I then asked to speak with the manager she stated I am the manager and you can not take these boxes. I then asked to speak with the manager on duty last night. he is off and is not her. I am the main store manager anyway. So lets say the tone she spoke was not polite and she did not have to make a seen over a long term customer (30years+) in the front of the entrance as other customers walked in. I told her I would be contacting corporate office and she ask why and I told her. Her rude tone and poor response to a customer that spoke to a manager and was promised boxes from a delivery and her attitude that she was the top dog. And how she has to cause a seen in front of the store while other customers were watching. I expect a call on Monday morning to corporate office from me. I tried today but since it is Sunday I did not get an answer. So since she(Annette) is the manager at this location and has cost you a customer. read more

Sometimes I wish for a wider selection, but it's still an awesome grocery store. I love how clean it is, and it's easy for me to find what I need. The hours are great, and it's never crowded when I go. The self check-out is fine, with only the regular snafus. Parking is definitely good, too. My favorite aspect besides the good prices is the bakery--unfortunately, they don't seem to have as many goodies now as they did when I first started going. I'll have to finish out the year and see if it's a seasonal thing. I usually go when the bakery people are no longer there, so I don't bother getting things in the displays behind the counter. This is now my official go to Super Market, I don't even care that its a 20 minute ride away from my home, because that's how dope this market is. The first time I went I didn't event realize that it wasn't a superfresh any more. The store is 100%clean, I mean I could probably eat off of the floor(although now they are getting super busy I wouldn't reccomend it,just saying...) The salad bar is fantastic. I mean shredded turkey, chicken or ham and lobster. The staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. My second visit, I was standing in line to get one of those super card things and the manager walked up to me and offered me a free bag of groceries. Now when I say a free bag, there was like 20 different things in this bag all for free! It was AWESOME~! And he gave this bag to many people throughout the store, it was so great to see! This is the best store around. The seafood dept is excellent, seafood always very fresh. All the staff are so friendly and so ready to help with whatever you need. The bakery is fresh and outstanding. I cannot say enough about this store. I just started using the delivery for Weis, this will be my third time and I have to say its the best food delivery service for any grocery store in Baltimore. You have your own personal shopper, she will text you to let you know she has started your order and to see if you need anything else. Unlike other stores who have a big warehouse, they shop, Weis shops at the store you choose. I love Weis. They have the best prices of any grocery stores I've been to, and they now have a point system where you can earn cookware for free based on how much money you spend. It's also open 24 hours which is a huge plus. Weis also has some unexpected bonuses with sale items, like shampoo and hand soap that is $1, or other random things like garlic presses or potato mashers for $3-5. Snoop through the sale isles and there are a lot of gems. The only complaint I have is that the self-checkouts are usually finicky about weight. That said, I probably buy way too much using the self-checkout so ordinarily you wouldn't have that problem. Highly recommend Weis. read more

This Weis store is very clean and has a great selection of products. The staff is friendly and I have enjoyed shopping there until the past 2 years. It is our choice for convenience sake only. I am appalled at the people that think they can park in the fire lane when there are plenty of spots available. I have spoken with management at the local and corporate level with no actions taken. The inconsiderate people that park in the fire lanes block the handicapped cutouts and take up parking for people needing to get their groceries at the parcel pick up. The management needs to address this and I might consider coming back. The police also need to patrol the lot for violators. There used to be a rent a cop that chased the violators away. I guess the management thought it was no longer worth it. read more
