Check out line is always long and slow. Understaffed? Takes longer to check out than it does to fill my cart.

So, I was looking for some turkish products like pepper paste, bulgur, maybe some turkish desserts…read more The closest turkish store to downtown is about 30 min drive, and as someone who doesn't have a car, the cost of uber doesn't justify going all the way there. I saw this store nearby and I wasn't sure if it would have the products I am looking for. So before I went there, I called and asked. The owner was really nice, answered the phone and checked the products for me and that they have it available. I quickly went and got the products. They are reasonably priced. If you are turkish and in need of some basics and leave close to downtown, try this store before going 30 min drive to other turkish stores. There is a chance you may find what you are looking for.

From their collection I was able to find Sadaf products (US based high quality Iranian brand that sells Persian food), dough (Persian drinks and other yogurt based Persian drinks, Persian treats and even saffron. They have also lots of arabic brand food such as Roni (canned juice with pulps) that is amazingly yummy, european chocolates and variety of international cookies. There are frozen ready food of both ethnicity as well offered in this place. These are the unique products in this store but they also have a whole lot of generic food that one can find at any grocery store. They have a limited variety of produce so i would not recommend to go here for vegetables and fruits more than tomato, onion, and bell pepper.

Was looking for some affordable local flavors. This was a cool spot…read more AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking for the most part, typical for this part of town. Seating: Indoor seating with room for about 20 people inside the market. Vibes: You're right in the heart of Old Town / Fells Point -- the touristy but charming part of Baltimore. I dig the vintage brick roads, the historic feel, and the mix of locals and visitors passing through. The space sits inside a lively market (1640 Aliceanna St) with that true Baltimore seafood vibe -- casual, approachable, and full of movement. It's not fine dining; it's flavor-first, no-nonsense, and welcoming. Great for a quick grab-and-go or to sit down for a casual meal. FOOD/DRINKS: Crab Soup (A-Ok) Simple but hearty. It reminded me of a tomato-based soup with crab mixed in -- nothing too fancy, but warm and satisfying. I appreciated the richness and good amount of crab meat. I'm more of a clam chowder fan, so next time I might go that route, but this was still solid. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Quick, friendly, and efficient. The staff clearly know what they're doing and keep things moving without losing that personal touch. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good prices, solid flavors, and a classic Baltimore seafood feel. Sal and Son's Seafood isn't flashy, but it's genuine -- a go-to for a comforting bowl and a true local experience. I'll be back to try their other dishes next time I'm in the area. TIPS: * Check what's on special -- they rotate and have plenty of combo options.

The food at Sal and Sons is very good. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is…read morebecause our fries were cold. It's probably because one meal was simple (crab cake sandwich, fries), and the other may have taken longer to cook to order (shrimp and chicken jambalaya). Otherwise, we were absolutely satisfied with the food. The crab cake sandwich was on point. The creamy crab soup was flavorful, creamy, and worth every bite. The shrimp and chicken jambalaya was also executed well. Also, I highly recommend trying the fresh fruit drinks. We got watermelon and pineapple, and "refreshing" doesn't begin to describe how good they were. The service was straightforward and to the point, which works for me. The establishment is located inside of a market. We went on a Sunday, so this was one of the few eateries open. I'm imagining that it is probably more jumping on other days. If I'm in Baltimore again, I'll definitely consider visiting again and exploring more of the menu.

The selection is incredible. So many teas and spices that it's almost overwhelming in a good way. Everything is displayed in glass jars, and you can smell each one, which makes the whole experience feel interactive and fun instead of rushed or generic. I ended up buying way more than planned: multiple types of paprika (smoked sweet, smoked hot), several garlic salts, truffle salt, seasonings for myself, and a whole assortment of teas for my mom plus a few for me because obviously. Every blend smelled amazing, and the quality feels top tier. This is the kind of store where you could easily spend an hour just wandering, sniffing, and dreaming up meals. I'll absolutely be back. I also recently found out there's a location closer to me in Lancaster, so that one is officially on my list too. If you cook, love tea, or need a gift that actually feels thoughtful, this place is a must-stop.

I've been to the location in Annapolis before this one opened and it looks the same - it's that brand consistency. It's dark wood with lots of tea accoutrement and loose leaf teas to pick from. The offer decaf blends which is always appreciated!
