But, they are keeping up with the old traditions and adding some new of their own. While they of course have a range of different priced wines I was always impressed that they had a knack for finding good inexpensive wines. Sometimes with lesser known varietals and with interesting bouquets and tastes. (The good type of interesting.) The new owners have managed to maintain this and have increased the number of wine tastings. What is new will appear to the beer lovers out there. They have added a machine to fill growlers. Not that unusual anymore but I believe it is the only one in MD that uses CO2 so the beer will stay good for 60 days instead of several.

I accepted the date and time they suggested over the phone. Upon arrival i was questioned as to why i was getting the shots that day. I advised that it was their suggestion of date and time. I was shown a clipboard showing i was the only one scheduled that day and told it was their busiest day of the year. They offered the flu shot then but suggested I reschedule RSV as it takes some 15 minutes or so to prepare . While awaiting the flu shot to be administered i was then advised my Medicare ID was invalid due to a hack of the govt site. I told them it had been accepted at GBMC , by my PCP and my Dermatologist in the past week. I left with no vax administered. I called Medicare and was advised the Card # i had for the past 15 years had not been hacked and was ok. I didn't know what to expect, because the shop was closed due to COVID measures. They had limited inventory (mind you, I waited until only a few days before Mother's Day) and the prices were steep. Still, I wanted to gift my mother a petunia hanging basket and so I placed my order. The lady in charge of entering and processing my order did a fantastic job. It was seamless. She promised me she would "pick out a nice one" and boy did she; the purple petunia hanging basket was full and healthy, it overflowed -- and it was the smallest (cheapest) I could buy (afford). My mother adored the flowers and you could tell that this local business puts their hearts into fulfilling orders. It was easy, seamless, and in the end, worth every dollar spent.
