I genuinely never thought I'd have to write this type of review for this local small business, but here I am. My original review below is from 2017 and I gave a 5/5 rating. Now, in 2023, things have drastically changed. For quite a while now I have noticed that Morris, owner and head pharmacist, has developed a very sour mood. Every single time when I call in a refill or stop in to pick up a prescription he's complaining. Customers are always wrong, doctors are always wrong, his own employees are always wrong. Every one is wrong but him. A lot of his staff have left and the one tech I still often see went from cheerful and friendly to apathetic; the life seemingly sucked out of her. To hear Morris talk about his staff in such a poor manner directly in front of them is beyond unprofessional and quite frankly embarrassing.
To add on, Morris has now decided to take his frustrations of others out on innocent patients. I called to refill a few prescriptions, one of which is extremely important and I cannot risk missing a dose, and Morris refuses to fill them. Apparently someone I know tried to confront Morris about a mishap with their prescription and, as expected, the patient was wrong and Morris himself wasn't. The patient then called their insurance company to follow up on it. Doing this seems to have infuriated Morris to the point where he is refusing to fill any of *my* prescriptions even though I was not involved in the mishap or calling of insurance. I used to have a great rapport with Morris, so much so that he even once offered me a job at his Pikesville location. For him to so suddenly and without reason turn on a patient like this is unthinkable. While most of my prescriptions have been transferred, it's now my understanding that Morris is delaying transferring the other patient's prescriptions claiming he'll get to them "when he has time." Well, according to his regular complaints he never has time. This man now lacks the professionalism to do his job in the business he created because one of his patients got under his skin.
Writing this isn't easy, but unfortunately I feel it needs to be said. Even when I had my own concerning mishaps with my prescriptions I never felt the need to say anything publicly. But to play with a patient's health by refusing to fill prescriptions crosses the line.
Original 2017 Review - 5/5 stars - Very friendly staff! They provide a delivery service on weekdays. On occasion they have let me pay for a medication at a later date as I didn't have a enough at the time. They also have communicated and worked well with doctor offices and insurances, bypassing certain insurance requirements in order to fill prescriptions in the event of a one time emergency. read more
