I have had multiple recent experiences with inaccurate prescription information and extremely rude customer service. Last month, I received a text notification stating that my prescription was ready. I drove approximately 30 minutes to the pharmacy, only to be told that the prescription was not actually ready. Today, I had another prescription sent by my doctor. After it was sent, I followed up multiple times--three times today--to confirm that the pharmacy had received it. Each time, I was told that they did not have the prescription. To make matters worse, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and had a very unpleasant attitude. I understand that pharmacies can be busy and that mistakes happen. However, the combination of repeated communication issues and consistently poor customer service is unacceptable. This is especially disappointing because I have been a customer for two years and did not previously experience this level of service. Unfortunately, based on these recent experiences, I will no longer be using this pharmacy. I also would not recommend it to others, including people I work with or my own patients who may ask for a pharmacy recommendation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because the quality of customer service has clearly changed.

Twice now, I have gone to pick up prescriptions and was asked to pay full price because the medication is "popular." I called my insurance company and learned that Charlesmeade Pharmacy never ran my insurance. The last time I went, I tried to explain that they had not run my insurance, but they insisted that I needed to pay full price. I asked why this had not been communicated to me beforehand, especially since I had spoken with someone on the phone earlier that day. They then attempted to bargain with me to pay less than the original amount they quoted. This seems absolutely wrong--they are refusing to run prescriptions through insurance and are instead negotiating prescription prices.

I took a chance but I definitely have no regrets. I walked into the Ruxton Pharmacy this morning to pick up a prescription and to possibly refill another. What could have taken an hour at CVS took me 5 minutes at Ruxton Pharmacy. There was no one in line, the phones were not ringing off the hooks. The gentleman who helped me was kind and personable. Bonus points: The prices I paid were at least 25% cheaper than CVS or Walgreens. They also have an A-mazing greeting card selection which I will take advantage of the next time I return. I was recently surprised to find that HVPharm was the specialty pharmacy making specialized eye drops for my mother who lives an hour away. I was able to contact The pharmacy twice with my parent's questions and talk right to the my personal pharmacist who had made the drops. Only negatives: because they are small, you sometimes need to go elsewhere or wait (if you can) until the next day for less common Rxs. They do not have the hours of big chain pharmacies if you get an emergency night or weekend script.

They regularly sell expired or near-expired items (as in 1 day). I showed the stock personnel about a popular pasta-based meal kit that was more than a week past expiration and they left it on the shelf, I spotted a day later. 2. Make sure the advertisement sign matches what you are buying - they do shady things like moving the items over from the sale tag so you are confused. 3. Check your receipt. These guys are tricksters and sheisters and will swap out items at every chance. At times I have found more than 50% inaccuracies on my receipt. Of course, I have to wait forever in a line to contest with customer service. 4. Worst beef E-V-E-R. Been cooking beef for30+ years - these animals are not well. Inedible & rock tough no matter how you cook, and zero flavor. Subpar distributors/farmers. Go to GIANT. 5. Beware of shopping here. I am not sure how they have not been shut down by OSHA/FDA.
