Customer service. Two members of the Rx team are quick to call regarding refills! In other words, no Robo calls. And, the pharmacists are willing to discuss matters face to face. In this gilded age of impersonal service, Northern is a jewel. Bottom line? Independent druggists are popping up everywhere and they're competitive with the big guys. What I really like about this place is if you can't get there during business hours, they will deliver locally. The turn around for delivery is pretty quick. This has definitely eased our burden, especially those days we realize we are running low. The Towson Health Mart also has local connections with other businesses. When I needed sedation medicine for my daughter's dentist, I just took the prescription in, left it with them, and they did the rest. My only minor complaint is that there have been a few times my wife has sent me in to grab something or she has gone herself, and they say there is nothing ready even though a call was made saying it was. This is usually rectified by a delivery later in the day (or the next day) but it can still be a bit confusing or frustrating. Overall though, with the amount of expectations that we put on Towson Health Mart Pharmacy, I have been pleased with our patronage.

I took a chance but I definitely have no regrets. I walked into the Ruxton Pharmacy this morning to pick up a prescription and to possibly refill another. What could have taken an hour at CVS took me 5 minutes at Ruxton Pharmacy. There was no one in line, the phones were not ringing off the hooks. The gentleman who helped me was kind and personable. Bonus points: The prices I paid were at least 25% cheaper than CVS or Walgreens. They also have an A-mazing greeting card selection which I will take advantage of the next time I return. We came for the liquor store, but stayed for lunch at their soda fountain/lunch counter in the back of the store. They have a good selection of whiskey with very good prices. There was minimal price markup between Drug City and if we were to buy direct from a NYC distillery we really like. I really enjoyed my chicken dumpling daily soup special at the soda fountain, but the star of the show was my chocolate peanut butter milkshake. The food in there is simple lunch fare but you cannot beat the prices. they have a long list of seasonings you can add to your potato chips that I want to come back and try more of. Note that purchases from anywhere in the store (not just the liquor section) count towards their rewards program.
