My fiancé and I were visiting from Louisiana and found this place on Yelp. We each got the 2 meat plate. They were out of brisket by the time we made it there, unfortunately. I had the ribs and pulled pork, and he had the ribs and chicken. We both got potato salad and coleslaw as our sides. Everything was delicious! The meat was well seasoned and flavorful and the sides were so good too. We also shared a slice of the amazing pound cake (not pictured as we were told to eat that first, which we did on the drive to our hotel). We had mentioned to them that it was our first time there, and the owner Mrs. Harris came to the window to greet us and was so nice and welcoming! We will definitely stop here again the next time we come to town.

My first impression was this is a Mom and Pop BBQ Spot, reminded me of a truck stop for truckers who want to grab some BBQ on their way out. However, never judge a book by its cover bc this spot is a winner when it comes to BBQ. Stop by for a quick lunch break and the food was delicious. We sat inside and the spot was clean, and very cool Inside. Which was a plus bc this Texas heat is no joke. Enjoyed our sweet tea and BBQ. It was all so delicious that we grab a plate to go for later tonight. The food was freshly prepared and seasoned deliciously. My favorite was the chicken it was so moist. I enjoyed the sausage but chicken was my favorite. Both the mild and hot BBQ sauce was delicious. Unlimited sweet tea refills and it was sweet.

Service and the food was great I definitely enjoyed the brisket plate. I ate most of it before remembering to take a photo so I can leave a review.

Brisket and sausage, sorry food was so good we started eating before we remembered to take a photo, lol.

I'd make the drive from Joshua for this Brisket. Pretty good the spicy sauce is spicy but you can eat the brisket by it self. A must if your ever in town

Was in a rush so I just had a chicken sandwich and it was amazing so I can only imagine how good the other stuff is. 5/5 definitely would go back!

Harris Bar-B-Que came up big for my recent 4th of July celebration and I was really pleased with their catering. They're not only highly rated on Yelp but also among the hyped BBQ spots for local publications (#1) so I knew we were all in for a treat. Located just off the J. Elmer Weaver Freeway in the heart of Cedar Hill, Harris almost feels more like a small BBQ diner with just a handful of indoor and outdoor tables. The neighborhood feels incredibly rural, which I suppose makes this place a diamond in the rough. The vibe is definitely no frills, which is a huge win in my book. Their slogan of "where smoke meets flavor" is definitely accurate and on most weekends, their meats get sold out fast. Sandwiches are in the $9-10 range, while the BBQ plates are $14-21. Beef by the pound is currently $20, followed by pulled pork and ribs at $18.50. Compared to similar places around the state, this is quite affordable (#2). I really enjoyed their sliced brisket, which was moist and smokey through and through. The sausage is okay, but I was super impressed with the ribs. Their beef rib is often sold out, but a real treat when available. Their fully baked potato is stacked and $10 at most. Even the smoked chicken breast is excellent. I'm not too sold on the pinto beans or the cole slaw as sides, but the potato salad and green beans are super tasty. One could probably complain about the lack of variety, but I applaud them for focusing on what they have and doing it well. The catering menu is a little different and customizable and they tend to mention that they're strictly credit card and cash only. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. _____________ (#1) Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Palaces (#2) The BBQ twilight zone is still happening.

This is one of those places that looks like nothing is going on, but let me tell you... there's magic happening in that kitchen. Most tender brisket I've had in a long time. The ribs and the potato salad are also delicious. Not a fan of the pinto beans, but let's be honest, we're here for the meat anyway. The service was friendly and fast. Don't think I waited more than a few minutes each time I've been. It's a little cozy. I probably wouldn't dine in with a group larger than 4. Long story short, RUN DONT WALK if you're in Cedar Hill!

Stopped in today.. we got sliced beef sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, ribs with various sides... but the star was the chicken... so flavorful and juicy. The value was good and food was hearty and very tasty. We will definitely be back!

Decent bbq. Beans were awesome. Sliced beef was amazing. Ribs were kind of fatty. Potato salad was right out of the tub.

I walked up to the counter and they said "sorry. Closed" I said "the door says you close at 10" and they said "We start our cleaning at 9:30. We are closed." Wish I could give ZERO stars... I read the awful reviews before going, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought "There's no way that all of those are true!" I should've listened!! I grew up going here and have many family memories at Marble Slab in CH. I couldn't be more disappointed in the owners allowing this service. From the sound of it, it's time to close their doors. As a business owner myself, this service is absurd! Save yourself the inconvenience & don't go. Trust the reviews!!!

This used to be the ice cream place to come to, but it has gotten terrible in the last few years…read more I'm reminded of why I don't come to this location anymore every time I step inside. It is disgusting. The counters weren't wiped down. The TV's were off, so you couldn't see any options. They apparently don't make their own waffle cones and waffle bowls anymore. They're store bought. Our ice cream was practically melting by the time we sat down. Last, but definitely not least.. the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. They made it unisex, but the problem is that there wasn't any toilet paper in there and all that could be used was paper towels. Ew. Never will enter that establishment again. Yuck.
