We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu recently and we had a great experience. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartenders who were very pleasant, helpful and prompt. We were planning on having dinner later so we decided to order some appetizers to tide us over. The Boneless Chicken wings were delicious and mixed with a fantastic buffalo sauce. When in Honolulu....go to somewhere husband is familiar (just because of our food choices differ a lot). Anyway, on the 1st floor is the gift shop and then go upstairs for the restaurant. The place and decor is really nice....we were seated overlooking the road. I got the Swiss Mushroom Smash Burger, a two smashed & stacked burgers seasoned and seared medium-well, with Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, leaf lettuce, vine-ripened tomato and dijonnaise. So very disappointed in our server, Tristan,after watching the UFC fights on Saturday. After asking him politely to split my tab off of a group of 3 other guys, at the very end hands me a tab with a 20 % auto gratuity. Auto grat is traditionally reserved for parties of 6 or more. He never verbally gave me any indication that because of the special event there would be an auto grat. Very sneaky and disappointing. I'm a bartender in town and will definitely will not be sending anyone to go there ever again. read more

There is nothing Hawai'i about it except for it's on the island. In a way, I guess that is nice to get food you know you will like and understand what it is. The smash burgers were excellent. Except for the view I would have thought I was on the mainland. Nice staff and decor. Amaya was an excellent server. I enjoyed the local beer. Really wanted to like this restaurant, we do not have a hard rock café in Seattle due to it being closed years ago. I heard a lot of people say how the food was not good. Me and my fiancé were in Honolulu and I saw the hard rock and wanted to try it. Looking at their website And then you looked really appetizing so we decided to give it a try! Started off with chicken nachos, those were OK nothing good nothing bad just kind of blasé. I ordered the steak fajitas, and my fiancé had the messi chicken sandwich which was for a limited time only unloaded fries. Immediately took a bite of my fajita and was not pleased. The meat was not seasoned nor were any of the onions or bell peppers. I was starving so I ate it, but there was absolutely no flavor :( I actually ended up using the avocado cream of sauce that came with our nachos, which made the fajita edible. But would not order those in the future! My fiancé's chicken sandwich was absolutely incredible, two chicken Katsu patties, loaded with cheese on a soft bun, it was huge, and normally my fiancé can finish a chicken sandwich and he couldn't finish it, no worries, though we took the rest home ! We are familiar with the brand but we didnt ever eat here. When we came in, we were greeted by an awesome staff team! Their service was so nice and attentive. I was impressed with how kind, quick, and cool our server was. I can't remember her name, but she was ELITE! When it's your birthday, except a ROCKIN announcement and a sweet treat! I will say The food was very mid... I can tell the recipes should be delicious and well balanced, but things were not cooked consistently and it tasted like they were made with minimal effort. Enjoyed our night out at hard Rock. The band was very good and played a good mix of songs. We sat at the bar so no wait for us! My margarita was really good and after months of not drinking I knew I couldn't order a second. I drank it way to fast. We ordered the spicy shrimp, nachos and burger. Both the burger abd shrimp were solid. Definitely something I could order again. The nachos should be removed from the menu. One thing that bothers me is a plate full of naked chips because you only put toppings on the top chips. I sent it back because I expected more toppings. The remade it but it was still very bare. It doesn't come with salsa and you really need sauce or they are very dry nachos. I left a plate full of chips and thankfully they removed from the bill. We didn't ask them to do that so I was impressed with the service and attention given to my lack of enjoyment. I will keep going to Hard Rock just won't order nachos ahain again. read more

Would have gave 5 stars but we asked for parking validation for bank of Hawaii parking garage next door and they put the sticker on receipt to QR scan. We all walked out to our cars then realized the hosted Gabe is stickers for last month April 15th not today May 10. The validation didn't work cause they're only good for the 4 hr period day of. How the hell do you even have a book of stickers still from last month. Kinda shady made us feel as if it was on purpose. Managers might wa t to check your people. My family and I had a really nice experience at Hard Rock. We were treated nicely from the moment we walked into the store area until we left. My husband and I's burgers were cooked perfectly and were packed with toppings to be honest. I did get loaded fries with mine and although I do not think it's worth the up charge price, they at least tasted really good. We were surprised to see that they had breakfast and so my daughter ended up getting their pancakes and they were very vanilla forward and sweet. Reminded me of the McGriddles from McDonald's in the best way! She loved them so much she didn't even add the syrup. They were also super accommodating with my pineapple allergy and gave her different fruit instead of the traditional pineapple it comes with. Recently celebrated my niece's birthday at the Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki. Food was excellent and cooked perfectly. Service was great. Parking was validated at the Bank of Hawaii across the street. We had a good time. Good food, good music, great service. It's located in Waikiki (280 Beach walk) and parking is across the street at Bank of Hawaii (with validation $7 up to 4hours). First floor is the store and 2nd floor is the restaurant. The wall and ceiling above the stairs are decorated with guitars. Looks cool. The live band was playing from 8pm that night (Sunday). The food and service both times I have been here have been great. I love chain food so this isn't for someone seeking a culinary experience, mostly burgers, steaks, chicken, fajitas and some seafood. Deserts look amazing but didn't buy. Food is a bit pricey but in line with most Honolulu prices. As far as the atmosphere, like most Hard Rock cafes, expect noise and lots of it. I didn't realize how much of a travel I went to from my last review and then entering today. From Murphy's in Chinatown with my family yesterday to Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki with a friend today. What a difference 24 hours has made. So...what about my visit to Hard Rock Cafe? First things first, the atmosphere. It lives up to the billing for what the restaurant's reputation is worth. Lots of guitars, rock music, and a good view from upper level. I ordered the Surf and Turf burger, which, as it says, comes with a nice sized steak burger patty and topped with the One Night in Bangkok shrimp with a spicy slaw. The textures hit me at all fronts, and I liked that. I didn't really think it was too spicy, at least for my preference. Compared to my visit at P.F. Chang's where it took until 3/4ths of my meal for the heat to kick in, this was very subtle. The heat wasn't "in your face" at all. It's kind of slow, but keeps it in check due to the slaw they put on it. Fries were good as well. For a lunch, I'd say this was well worth eating, despite the price. Would I recommend Hard Rock Cafe? Absolutely. The ambiance is great and especially with a good look at all the guitars hanging inside the restaurant. read more

Drag Brunch Bingo takes place on the last Sunday every month and it's amazing! They really put on the best show. We laughed, we sang, and didn't want to leave. The ticket price includes 5 bingo tickets and a drink(mimosa or Bloody Mary....but if you don't drink alcohol, they are happy to help you get something else). It was loud, as expected. We ordered food and I was so bummed about my nachos. $30 for nachos and they weren't good. They weren't even ok. Worst nachos I've had. When we got there, we were told of shortages they had on food and menu items. This was in the middle of a weekday which I didn't understand. A small group of us from the Friends of St Patrick went over after the St Patrick's Day Parade to have lunch. There weren't many patrons in the establishment so we joined some folks who had arrived before us. We checked the both menus (one was specifically for St Patrick's Day's). Their prices were higher than I expected for lunch and I had a hard time finding something without meat. I asked our server if they could make a Cobb Salad without Steak and she said they would. The family with us had tons of nachos, which looked pretty substantial, so I was looking forward to my salad. My friend's meal consisted of 3 Sliders and fries and my Cobb Salad was a big disappointment. I asked that there not be any steak, which they did, but there was no avocado or something to make up for the lack of protein. Lots of lettuce, sautéed corn, hard boiled egg, sweet baby tomatoes and cheddar cheese, and sautéed onions, with dressing on the side (as I requested). It was tasty, but seriously lacked substance. I was still charged $26.99, even without the meat! Perhaps I should bave asked for a substitution or chosen something else. My bad. Iced coffee (no refills) was a little over $4.00 a glass. Service was a little slow, despite the restaurant being one quarter full. I don't like giving poor reviews, especially if the staff are pleasant, the food is reasonable and the establishment has a great reputation. read more

It was juicy, delicious and satisfies my hamburger craving. We were there early on a Saturday night and the live music was about to start as we were leaving so we missed that.
