    Breakfast buffet

Delicious breakfast buffet! Something for everyone! Omelet station, eggs Benedict, steamed fish, smoked salmon, noodles, miso soup, bread pudding, fresh fruit, Danish, French toast, etc....so good! Atmosphere and service was also wonderful!

8/2023 Count on delicious breakfast buffets at Shor- found by the pool entrance at the Hyatt along Waikiki Beach

Always count on delicious breakfast buffets here at the Hyatt's restaurant upstairs near the pool entrance. Wonderful service too. It's worth a treat here to indulge in a hearty breakfast, especially on a day you're going to be exploring the island or hiking. Always hot food prepared and delicious variety of entrees. Fresh waffles and omelettes to order/make. I enjoy staying at the Hyatt for reasons like Shor, great food and a comfortable stay near all the Waikiki Beach amenities: beach, shopping, restaurants.

Omelette station had 5 going at one time. Every buffet needs this!

The food was tasty, but I was disappointed that the one dish I was looking for wasn't there. The menu online said they have french toast on the buffet line up. I didn't see any so I asked one of the wait staff. He kindly went to check if they were going to make any. He then came back and said "maybe tomorrow " . Maybe the menu should say that there may be substitutions. The menu had pancakes or french toast, but what they really had was pancakes or waffles. Not a big deal, but just left me craving french toast. Everything tasted good though. The host was super hospitable. I didn't get his name, but he always had a smile. He offered at the end of our meal to call the valet to have our car waiting for us. Our server, Rita, was very attentive. Everyone working there looked genuinely happy. They all made my morning delightful. I'm giving a 5 for the service and a 4 for the food. The interior was very clean and inviting. Will visit again during the holidays and hopefully they will have the French toast

We came the day before Valentines. Make sure you make reservations. Although we dressed up, it's pretty casual. We were seated Oceanside. The service was great as well as the food. I had the kampachi $38 and it was devine. It was the perfect balance, even though the portion seems small. I didn't leave feeling stuffed, nor did I leave feeling hungry. Plus I had a glass of wine while the Mr. had a hamburger $26 which he said was delicious. The truffle fries were tasty as well. Parking was validated, which granted us an extra three hours to look around. There was an open market going on so the validated hours was nice. The restaurant is located in the Hyatt and we self parked. Parking is extremely narrow going up the ramp, so be mindful or just valet. If you self park, again, you are validated.

Came here for breakfast. They did have a buffet. You can also call to have take out as well. They had many options. Eggs, rice, bacon, hash browns, pancakes, salad, fruit, cereal, and etc. The servers didn't really check on u. Always had to ask someone for refill on drinks. Also the buffet price includes ur drink as well. We got juices.

It was a little tricky finding our way up to Shor but once we got there, service was wonderful! Our waiter was amazing, he gave us recommendations because it was our first time. He checked in with us throughout our dinner to make sure everything was going well, despite dinner time being busy. We had pasta al pesto and garlic shrimp flatbread, which were both delicious! And for drinks, we enjoyed mai tai and pina colada. I loved the outdoor seating arrangements and layout. The space felt very spacious and airy. Highly recommend dinner, I will be coming back for sure!

$37 breakfast buffet: Wow, where to start... Lots of fruit. Cereal, and bread items. Eggs? Tasteless. Waffles? Dry & chewy. Oatmeal? Super mushy & tasteless. Chicken sausage? I don't usually eat but they had NO OTHER MEAT OPTIONS (they alternate days between bacon & chicken sausage). It had the consistency of a hot dog and it was really sweet. Hated it. Hashbrowns? Frozen greasy triangles. Only decent item was the made to order omelette (ham is the only meat option, i stuck to vegetarian.) It was the worst meal on the island. We had a hotel credit and it STILL wasn't worth it! Don't do it, don't do it I say!!

Late review: Came here for Christmas and OMGGGGGGGGG AMAZING! You had to make a reservation as it was a "Special Event Buffet" and a little pricey, but SOOO WORTH EVERY PENNY! We were seated immediately and greeted by the MOST OUTSTANDING WAITER I HAVE EVER HAD Irvy!!!! He immediately gave us water, and told us the rules for the day, we had 90 minutes to eat as much as we want and can have anything we want...and if we needed anything else that is what he was there for. As soon as I got up to go get food (I was very hungry)....I came back to a pitcher of water..apparently my Dad told him I drink A LOT of water...I thought that was the best thing that any waiter has ever done for me..as I am constantly having to ask for more water...not only did he bring me my own pitcher, anytime he walked by he topped off my glass! He was so attentive, funny and just a nice guy! He made sure we had clean napkins, utensils, cleared our dishes and made sure everything was perfect, and it was!!! TOP NOTCH SERVICE AMAZING FOOD ABUNDANCE OF CHOICES (special event Christmas buffet) CLEAN BEAUTIFUL VIEW I could go on and on....this was absolutely amazing!!!!! I am still in awe...and still trying to get a hold of Irvy, our waiters boss as I NEED HIM TO GET EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Managers-if you read this, please have someone contact me...I still talk about Irvy's service and how amazing he was!! Can't wait to come back....is there a buffet for Father's Day?!?!?!

Breakfast Buffet: For the nearly $40 that it costs, the selection is very limited. The morning I went there was only sausage no bacon. The sausage was ok, a bit too greasy for me. The eggs benedict could have been good but the salmon was waaay too fishy. The scrambled eggs obviously powder and still very wet. The french toast looks good but is stale and not fresh. The best part was the hash browns. They were crispy and great. They had oatmeal options, yogurts, tons of fresh fruits and pastries. We walked by another morning I could smell the bacon, so i think they alternate the meats. Dinner: Dinner was a bit lackluster. The food took forever to come out. It was just ok. Alot of the food options are the same as at Swim. So just go there it's less waiting. I dont think I would return to Shor for either breakfast or dinner. Both meals were just ok. Prices for breakfast was a bit much and dinner service was slow.

We had dinner here one night since we had the Costco package that included a $200 food/beverage credit. I'm not sure we would have come here otherwise since it's pretty pricey for the food offered. Food was good although overall a bit salty. Waiters were attentive and we had a nice ocean view eating in the outside area.

Great food and very tasty. Love the atmosphere and the view of the Waikiki beach-very beautiful. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our server she very nice and attentive to our table. I could not even see the bottom of my coffee cup because she wont let it run low. Love this place and the people that really gave us a great experience.

Excellent dining experience! The hotel is neat, restaurant and staff were so lovely, and the food and drinks were outstanding!

Place was fairly empty when we arrived at 6:30, which had us a bit worried. It did slowly fill up by the time we left. Overall the food was very good, service was decent and we had a good time. My reason for the three star rating is based on value for what you get here. The steak frites is ~$50 for a 10oz strip with fries, this is more of a $35 meal. My stepson got the shrimp pizza which is actually half a pizza for $26, very pricey.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way.
